It’s a Beautiful tangle! Your life with your son is so typical of his age, he is trying to spread his wings, and sometimes they get clipped. It will all work out. I remember going through the mouthy stuff with my son, and one day I said to him, “you know even though I’m your mother, I have feelings too”. That seemed to really hit home with him and our turning point. He now is a Wonderful father of 4. Hang in there! Thanks for sharing with all of us. My favourite phrase is “what if”. Love it!
I have two boys, late teens, one has High functioning Autism. I can promise it does get better and they do appreciate you more as they grow older. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

Unload all you want. I know it helps. Both of my sons live out-of-state and the younger son called the other day at the wrong time and I unloaded on him for about an hour. He is so patient - He's about your age. I love your videos and I don't want them to get you down - so please, just don't worry so much about what you are trying to edit out - leave it in - we can live with it. Just have fun with it.

I went to mid points of each mini square side, then to 1/4 points, and it works out fine, Cyndee. I even had the lines meeting at the midpoints on the other commons sides. Not a bad grid tangle, thanks for sharing this.
These tangles make me think of Chrisanthemums. Very nice! Also love the meta patterns that emerge. And, I can relate to a lot of your "boy" talk; having gone through it.

Share, unload, rant and/or rave......I will be happy to listen. I have no pearls of wisdom, though. I did help raise my partner’s two children but I got SOOO lucky because they were both great kids....then and now. None of my own since I was sure I didn’t have the patience it would require. I laughed when you said we all probably had our 08 pens out already because I’d switched to my 10!! I haven’t done a grid pattern in quite awhile so I enjoyed this. Grids are good for me when I want to go sort of “mindless” and not have to think too much. As for editing, I think you do a beautiful job but it pains me to hear how much of your time it takes. It sounds like a good reason for burn-out and I don’t want that to happen to you. I treasure our time tangling and always miss you when you haven’t posted. I’m totally good with letting a lot of it go.
Another fun one I enjoyed and am caught up again on 2021. Back to working on 2020 day 46 now. Your snoring fur buddies I can relate to well. I had two Large Ragdoll cats and we lost the 23lb one named “Puppy” a year ago at 15 yrs old. Boy could he snore like a trooper. LOL. Now his housemate of about 18 lbs at 15 yrs old named Jinx has taken up the snoring also as he lays on the bed next to my chair. 😊
Cyndee, every word you say about struggling with Mari is just like you're telling my story. EXACTLY. Every single bit. My trouble with Caleb began with his change over from primary school to secondary school, big school, at the age of 11/12. He just couldn't cope with the change over & I've been fighting to have him assessed for ASD. He has his 'ways' and certain things he just can't cope with eg crowds, anyone (even me) touching him even accidentally he loses his temper, he can't stand a lot of noise unless its him making the noise & a lot lot lot more. So far he's been diagnosed with hypersensitivity and because he felt he didn't fit in with his peers in school he started to mix with the wrong crowd & got hooked on drugs, at the age of 14. Involved with police and has me at the end of my tether. He has been on constant supervision at home and supposedly at school from September when family friends & police were searching for him for a full day. We didn't know if he was living or dead. I'm also disabled and I'm sure you're well aware that any stress sends your fibromyalgia haywire. He's also really really smart but prefers to learn about his interests online & he'll learn every fact there is to know about it but hates school. Says he doesn't see the point when you can learn everything online, even though he won't do the homeschooling so the school has him attending school with the children of keyworkers and 'vulnerable kids' which he is. Lord, I never ever thought a child of mine would get involved with so much so young. My daughters are aged 34 & 21 & each of them had different issues but nothing this life-threatening. The Lord keeps me strong for every day with him, its so hard but my faith is my strength. As my dear dad always says they hurt who they love but take what is said with a pinch of salt. So true. So sorry for whinging on and there's me just wanted to let you know you weren't on your own haha 😅 but you're not. Your story is my story & our story is the nations story & so on. For those of us who have experienced a suicide of a loved one, I highly recommend reading “The Amazing Life of Billy Kidd” as a different perspective on self-taking of life. After my mother took her own life, I went to a gathering with John Edward of “Crossing Over” and that helped me come to terms with her choice as well. It is so tough for those who are left behind and especially if the Taker does not leave much information as to the “why”of it.... so the word “cocoon” seems especially fitting today as we consider coming out of that insulated place and becoming the butterflies we are meant to be! Heart hugs to you Cyndee!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your time and you wiggling lines they always turn into a fabulous piece of art! Remember your a strong women. I lost my son also. He was a Sophomore at IU. He had diabetes and was challenged with it. I will always say it was like a It felt like a sever womb that was wide open and bleeding. To survive you wrap it up tightly and don’t open it for awhile. Until one day you need to check on it to make sure it really happened. Then you slowly unwrap the gauze until you come face to face with the injury. There is a scar and always will be a scar. Later, you still feel the hurt because you’ve had a serious injury. January marks the 18 th year. My scar still hurts but not every day. I know some day I will see him again. My heart understand your grief. 🤟🏼
I love it when you share your life with us. It feels like getting together with a friend. I like grid patterns, I put the 100 tangles in my dot journal which makes it easier to do.
I drew along with you using a 4” square tile. This made for a lot of inking but it turned out lovely. I shaded your way and that also made it look great. My husband is in the hospital and tonight my son found a pipe leaking in a basement closet. This has been very upsetting because my husband always knows what to do. Needless to say I have been very upset because it seems I am wired to make mountains out of molehills! First thing in the morning I am calling someone. Anyway, drawing this tile gave me an hour or so of peace and zen I guess. Thank you Cyndee!

Do some research on Outward Bound survival training. Two of my granddaughters went at age 15v& 16 (when they knew more than their parents). Amazing turn around in their thinking.

I had a problem with making sure that each arched "arm" was symmetrical. The left one always "fell short". More practice, I guess.
sometimes turning your tile and doing that side from the other direction. I had the exact same issue with mine, still it turned out well!
