“The Zentangle ® Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. You create tangles with combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the "Elemental Strokes" in all Zentangle art. These patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles." We call them tiles because you can assemble them into mosaics.

I do love Tomas Padros’ tangles! You described them perfectly - the stepouts look easy enough but to get the tangle to actually work is sometimes a challenge, Keeps this old brain working and that’s good thing.

Hello, I just "discovered" your channel recently, and have decided to follow along with your 100 day challenge. I have done zentangle in the past but gave it up for awhile, nice to be doing it again, thanks!
This is cooler than I thought it would be. I drew along with you but put my Tentoculous in the Hollis pattern shape. It really looks nice. I love Tomas Padros. He is amazing. But his Tissoooh! is so hard for me to grasp. I have pages and pages in my sketchbook of Tissooohs! but can’t get it:(. Oh well, this one was fun. Thank you Cyndee. Glad you are back.

Hello Cindy. My name is Ellen and I live in the Netherlands. Just found your channel. I am a newbie in Zentangle . Despite that I am able to go along with you, learning on the fly. You are a great teacher? We must be about the same age.
I have one question for you. Could you tell more about the different pens you use and why. I have several Micronpens in different sizes ( is that how you call it in English?) and would like to know which to use for what and when? Thx for sharing your knowledge and passion.
