I like the complete original 500 series because the way it actually corner cleans was pretty dang good but my favorite one is the 700 series

I'm here because I just got my second Roomba! I bought a Roomba 880 back in 2016, and it served me really well until 2023 when one of the wheels started acting up. Instead of getting it fixed, I thought it would be better to buy a new one. So today, I purchased a Roomba 694. I'm stoked!

If you still have the 880, I can highly recommend you to keep it. Wheels are not hard to replace, it's easy to buy a really cheap parts Roomba (any 500-900 series one) from ebay, and swap the wheel modules. It will be good as new if the battery is still ok. (if not batt can be bought too) 880 is one of my favourite Roombas and also one of the best Roombas iRobot has ever made. 694 is a great robot, but except for wifi connectivity it's more like downgrade from 880. It has older cleaning head, older bin, no hepa filter, weaker suction motor and no virtual wall lighthouse option like the 880 has. It's still a great robot tho.

I had a Scooba!!! And man did it do a great job mopping and washing and vacuuming, a bit hard to clean but whew! It was awesome!

True. Older 700 series have the plug too. Later iRobot removed it, because not many people used it.

How do you charge the original Roomba?

You plug the power cord directly into the robot. I also think there was a thing that you could put the battery into, and it'd change.
