Unfortunately I don't have footage of a clean full lap in every game and I don't really like to show sloppy driving in these videos. Also from my experience such a video would not be as popular. Many people don't want to watch the same game for 2 minutes before moving on to the next one. And I also personally find this format here much better for comparing the games with each other. If there were full laps, then you would have already forgotten what a certain corner was like in a particular game once the same corner arrives in the next game because of all the stuff in between. If I had footage of a great lap in each game, then maybe I would still post such a video anyway but in some of the games this track is so hard that I never managed to hit all sections properly in the same lap.
Thanks. I also looked up the results of the V8 Supercars seasons to see which of the cars actually did well. My original plan was to alternate between Ford and Holden as much as possible but then I changed things around a bit to show the cars of many top drivers instead. I think I now show the cars of 9 different Supercars champions, plus Greg Murphy's car from his "Lap Of The Gods".
Crazy how much of a technological jump we had in video games from like 02 to 06 or 07 and then the advancement slowed down. If you would've told us in 2002 we'd play the same game for a decade before they even announced the new one we'd call bullshit. Case in point GTA 5
Which doesn't mean it looks better or more realistic. The vegetation looks different in this part of Australia. In GT7 it's so green that it looks like the track is in the UK and not Autsralia. The other thing is that the clip from the latest Forza is so massively compressed that it looks tragic. It's 10000% not a video on maximum graphics settings. I play on medium and it looks better on mine.
@@fiodormki It sounds like you are playing the new Forza on PC. I play it on console. Those types of graphics settings don't even exist there. You can only choose between "performance mode" and "quality mode". I am using performance mode, as with quality mode the game would only run at 30 FPS.
@@Paragleiber Yes, I play on PC. Performance mode unfortunately makes the graphics much worse. On PC the game looks very good, great in some places. But in order to enjoy good graphics, you need really powerful hardware.
The sense of speed in the Gran Tourismo is tragic. The car is moving at almost 300km/h and on the screen it looks like 100km/h. You don't feel any dynamics at all. Then there's the camera, which makes it look like the track is moving around the car, not the car on the track.
yeah, i noticed that too. probably because devs trying to be smooth, but its ended up sacrificed the sense of speed unlike other games that showcased here.
And gt7 is the one that felt the least like an arcade game from all the clips. I get where your coming from but you never play these games in chase cam to start with. Yes I am a gt fan but for good reasons.
1:00 don't know what they did to those V8s to get a 1:45, must have strapped some turbos to it 😂... also, that acc mustang setup and tyre pressures made me visibly cringe.
Love your channel, friend. It has motivated me to re visit several old games on ps1/2!
Auto Mobilista 2 by far had the best sound.
Love these videos, the only thing I wish you did was post a full lap of from each game, that would be fantastic!

Sweet that you tried to use "aussie" cars as much as possible, nice touch

I always liked that track ❤️
Fun fact the Toca race driver series is called the V8 Supercars games here in Australia.
Was trying to work out why I had never heard of Toca.
The ai in these games were so garbage it was a standout feature in grid games
We had toca 1 then it changed to V8 scars. spent a lifetime on ps1 playing it it was more based on the European series events.
Toca Race Driver 1 mentioned 🥰
Forza looked the most engaging

The Chase corner in Gran Turismo 6 looks more vibrant on colour detail than in Motorsport 8.

That's what I don't like about granturismo 5 and up. The games gives you a false sense of speed and the stiff camera doesn't make it any better.

2 different cars and 5 years of engineering in between them.
Dude you forgot real racing 3
You are wrong. I didn't forget it. Stop posting nonsense under my videos. This is already the second time that you posted the same false accusation...
