You can also select all of those instance patch numbers, right click (or encoder) and do '13 thru 1'. Learned that just by trying and hoping it would work because I needed to flip a 20 pixel fixture.
True! just have to be wary that all of the pixels are actually continuously patched and double check it cuz MA will do some rounding of cells in a range if there are gaps or the patch isn't exactly continuous.
Totally! By the way, your videos have taught me so much and I really appreciate you making them. I loved the timecoded festival intro video you posted a month or so ago. Keep killing it man!
How were you when u started of doing lighting cos I'm only 18 and I'm really into stage lighting and have been for the past 3 years but when I look at the desks like the MA3, I just think it must be a mission using it. Is that what your were like when u first started? And is it easier than it looks to learn the basics of operating a desk like that?
Iv made a plugin to do this but I doesn’t make a 2nd fixturetype it just repatches the instances inverted. It also works on magic blades where there is a main module.
Hei, I just watched a video from 2015 off a full show with your MA-cam and I was wondering, how do you choose what to do? Do you just do stuff with your faders, just improvise? Or do you have a cuelist? Keep up the good work! :D
Use "flip please" to switch pan/tilt values to other possible pan tilt combinations to face the same direction. Invert pan/tilt DMX in the patch to make all fixtures move in the same direction for a given effect/value change.
what do you think about avolites? Why do you prefer grandMA to avolites? What do you with to have on GrandMa that is on Avolites, and what are you glad to have in your GrandMA that isnt in avolites?
Nice scooter
truth
Was this a paid-for training video? Very high quality tutorial with the cuts to the console so we can see exactly what you are clicking.
this is actually a life saver. seems so obvious now after seing the technique

I’m guessing that only works to invert all of the fixtures? What if you only need to invert some of them?
BRING BACK THE VLOGS!
Great tip - used it yesterday.
Dream job!!! But damn it looks so hard for someone with no experience! I self taught myself how to use Daslight but I guess no one uses that... D:
Is it possible to do this on ma3?
Did you concerted back to 60fps?
