      Of course! Yeah, I’ve kind of updated a few things with the macro lately as well to make it work better with my file. I will likely upload a video on that here soon!

    Hello Aaron !!! Cool video thanks a lot. But i have a question. How do you syncronise markers in reaper to your timecode pools ? I want to do this for a show. The drummer launch tracks one stage with a PC so i want to use reaper to do that and create a timecode show. So when he hits the next marker it's automaticly run my song : so change my timecode pool and run the show. And i don't understand how to do that.
    Thanks Aaron !

      Hey, sorry for the late response. I actually have been using a plunging called TimecodeMAte for this application. It’s phenomenal and I believe it’s free or quite cheap. Look up TimecodeMAte in the TH-cam search and it should pop up!

    Hi. Thank you for uploading this video. I have a question? How would you setup in a show? If I use a soundcard like you, but plug both ends of the wire through the audio mixer and take another wire from the mixer, plug it into the LTC on the MA, is it possible?

    • @AaronHiebLighting

    is there any way to explain how to trigger ableton or any other software from grandMA2 by uding MidiNote?

    • @AaronHiebLighting
      @AaronHiebLighting  ปีที่แล้ว

      I could look into it. I use MA2 to trigger other softwares like resolume arena by patching “dummy” dimmers in MA2 and use those dimmers to trigger resolume actions similarly to mapping midi, but instead of “edit midi” I hit “edit DMX” and it works the same way. Not sure if there is an option to do anything like that in Ableton, but maybe look into showcockpit as a way to use OSC to do something like that. That’s the first thing I can think of. I’ll let you know if I can find anything else.

    Exactly what I was looking for Aaron! Thank you. Quick Question: If you were touring and had a new GrandMA2 each night would this setup be feasible? (Like in an audio console one can just recall Scenes. Could you just transfer a pre configured scenes/macros, load them and patch the lighting for the night. I hope this makes sense. Thank you!

    • @sarinsahil
      @sarinsahil วันที่ผ่านมา

      - Would this require a lot of time to configure each night? I mean would using a new console with new lighting be time efficient at all? How long would something like take approximately?

  • @pinki6666

    One big question, does i need the focusrite audio interface or just I can do it without interface, second question! What part on the back sides the time code audio plug goes?
    I hope you can help, by the way thanks for the video✌🏿

    • @AaronHiebLighting
      @AaronHiebLighting  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You don’t need that specific interface. You can use onboard audio but you will still need to split the TC generator rack and the audio if you wish to have an audio track output from reaper. All you’d really need is a 1/8’ to XLR cable to just output the TC generator but to do both you’d need a splitter so you have a left and a right xlr if that makes sense. It’s a lot easier to do the routing with an audio interface but you can find them for pretty cheap. As far as the port on the back side of the console, it should just say LTC in. Make sure to only have the TC generator track sent down that line to minimize issues with timecode generation. Hope this helps!
