I got a new car which is special in my mind but obviously not even close to this and I'd never allow anyone else to drive it this way. The owner is a very generous man.
I just watched a documentary where snobby types at Goodwood dismissed this car as a replica. A very shallow assessment in my view; “a proper, proper thing” is far nearer the mark. How many true classic car enthusiasts however rich would not want the opportunity to go back in time and experience their car when it was new - before all the racing, the crashes and the corrosion, before the repairs and the restorations and the resprays? This is that wonderful unique opportunity - what a super project to be involved with! Awesome!
+nonickname100 while i appreciate the content....oldtimers are where it´s at. Most glorious for good. Can´t get all the kids, that call oneselfs enthausiasts, exited about that. unfortunately. They rather want 1500 Nissan GTR´s. But let´s not hassle about the amount of assholes that prowl around the web. Tasteless fucks with zero sense for aesthetics, tradition, integrity.
+staticdynamic and what will the kids do in 100years when a laferrari or p1 are oldtimers? are they still "soulless" then for them or what do you say about that? oh btw i'm young aswell and i'm really into older cars i would love to have a delta hf evoluzione one day😁 rather than a laferrari or whatever(:
South4153 you´ll have to worry about some way more important problems by the end of this century, thats for sure. Well, if we haven´blow oursefls up already..
what an awesome resurrection! Now Jaguar, build another chassis, but put a modern motor, steering rack, suspension and brakes in! How awesome would that be!
+Torrey B stupid? it's not an original e-type. it's rebuilt to from scratch to modern standards. the video even states that the fabrication etc. puts the original to shame. it's essentially a NEW car. a 69 camaro is a 69 camaro. your comparison isn't the same. stupid....
+ALT3REDB3AST There are already aftermarket cars that do that, this is Jaguar basically finishing the original production run of 18 cars so it is built to the old specs just with modern tech.
It is only "stuttering at 2500 rpm" because the mechanics assigned to the project simply do not/cannot grasp how to tune the Lucas system. The system is fine. Lucas fuel injected cars won every formula 1 race starting with the debut of the Ford DFV engined Lotus in 1967 right through to Alan Jones winning races with their system in the 80's.
+Alex Don Jethro is probably driving in all the footage. But sometimes, when they are filming inside the car, a camera man is there to operate the camera, and see that the sound levels are okay - And that is probably why you see two people in it some time, because that exterior footage was filmed at the same time as the interior footage. And sometimes, they just film him skidding around to have some additional b-roll footage
+Doggepp Cheers. I figured it was something like that. It was the fact that the driver in the exterior footage always seems to be wearing a helmet that had me wondering, as Jethro isn't wearing one in the interior shots.
Yeah, I often see that in these types of vids, the same in Chris Harris vids. They do some interior filming and drive it semi-hard, and then for some other exterior shots, when the helmet is on, they are probably driving full on, and not talking etc, so a helmet is most likely a safety precaution then
itsinmynamechap You guys no need to point out the difference. I'm well aware. Just asking from a pure car appreciation perspective. Not road car race car original modified what not. Simply as car.
+yellow6ird As a car to drive and meant to drive I would choose the Jaguar. I cant imagine how cool it must feel if you slide through corners and how strong the connection between you and the car will be. The Jaguar needs more effort to drive which is more rewarding and more fun in my opinion. I think that the sensation of driving the Jaguar is more exciting thatn the sensation of driving the Singer. But the Singer will be faster. So what do you want? A car that is exciting to drive because it drives so more unique more mechanical more demanding more rewarding or do you want a car that is exciting to drive because it is faster? I would choose the Jaguar.
Buying for the heritage? What heritage? It's a new car, with zero race pedigree. You can't even race them alongside the 'original' cars, as they aren't even invited to the events.
+Finnian Cooke (Goodyear111) I agree with you - whilst this car is something lovely and built to the specs perfectly its has no heritage because it wasnt built in the 60s nor was it raced
£1.2 million for that ? not a fuckin chance in hell ! the Etype was a nice car ! just not £1.2 million pound worth of nice !!!! greedy fuckers jaguar ! each to there own i suppose ? hmmmm for that money u could have a nice house a few cars anyone of which would spank the Etype lightweight ? could even buy an original Etype for a fraction of the price ? thanks but no thanks.......
those are the best cars. the cars that just make you feel good. if people prioritised happiness and joy in their lives over other things people deem more important, but are really "pointless"... the world would be a much better place.
"There had been many pretty cars, but the E-type is the prettiest of them all"
-Enzo Ferrari
-Abraham Lincoln
-George Bush
+Mohammad Azzam
I just don't see it, its great but it just doesn't do it for me. I have to see it in person.
A car channel that lets us hear the engine sound instead putting in some crappy Bieber weed music? Cudos to EVO :)
+Vanila Kung And fuck VEVO?
+NicoAsaf yes why not
I got a new car which is special in my mind but obviously not even close to this and I'd never allow anyone else to drive it this way. The owner is a very generous man.
I hope the owners of these cars drive them and not let them sit in a garage. What a glorious car.
P1 vs 918 vs LaFerrari still stuck in my head.
Chris Harris got us all fukd up
+Aamir Ghare
You've got your language all fucked up.
+radokhlebov yeah I had a dream about it last night
100 years from now when we're all in teardrop shaped self driving cars people will be bewildered and in awe as they look at the raw unabashed E-Type
Shame the video doesn't show the car in more detail.
That vehicle is a work of art.
that straight six sheet ripping sound is heavenly. Sad thing that the engine is becoming a largely forgotten powerplant in newer cars.
I just watched a documentary where snobby types at Goodwood dismissed this car as a replica. A very shallow assessment in my view; “a proper, proper thing” is far nearer the mark. It's Gorgeous. Art on Wheels.
This driven in isolation on a nice road would be heaven.
truly impressive. you've outdone yourself jag.
i would choose this over any hypercar
the Eagle Speedster really did something great for reviving interest in jaguar...i wonder if jaguar recognizes it
reviving interest in jaguar? are you being serious?
Amazing video, and the car... the car is from heaven!
What a beautiful machine
I have a feeling that the decimal point on that price will move to the right fairly quickly...
fuck all hyper5 and hyper3 battles. Those 5 minutes are more worthy to me than any two weeks long video about the new hypercars
+nonickname100 hypercars are completely soulless, the sound of that engine is simply gorgeous
+nonickname100

you´ll have to worry about some way more important problems by the end of this century, thats for sure. Well, if we haven´blow oursefls up already..
+staticdynamic I'm 22 and I'd have an E-type over pretty much any car ever. That or the F40 :)
what an awesome resurrection! Now Jaguar, build another chassis, but put a modern motor, steering rack, suspension and brakes in! How awesome would that be!
+ALT3REDB3AST and call it the next letter in the alphabet! the f-type! oh wait... :)
+Jesse V except f-type is not the old chasis rebuilt. I want the old look with new mechanics!
+ALT3REDB3AST that is a terrible idea. thats like sticking a new LS engine in a 69 camaro. stupid.
+Torrey B stupid? it's not an original e-type. it's rebuilt to from scratch to modern standards. the video even states that the fabrication etc. puts the original to shame. it's essentially a NEW car. a 69 camaro is a 69 camaro. your comparison isn't the same. stupid....

Dear Santa:
you know the drill.
Lord March has stated he will not have them at the revival.
No period racing history - no entry. Simple.
Hes throwing it threw some turns there.
Another great video!
I do think they actually managed to make an extra Ligthweight Jaguar E type later, from spares?
What's the name of the song in the beginning?
Funny how most just brush off 60 years of modern technology and stil love the original.......I have one , they are thebest!
Is this better than the eagle version? I'd love to hear your opinion evo :)
Vikky G Of course, all original.
he asked if it was better, not original

Oh. My.
Great fun
If you like this check out the Eagle Low Drag GT (Modernized E-Type styled Coupe)
Lovely.
mmmm bring back the XJ13!!!!!! Jaguar!
So gorgeous..
Was the presenter actually driving the car in the exterior shots? They show sometimes one, sometimes two occupants, both wearing helmets
+Alex Don Jethro is probably driving in all the footage. It`s awesome
Why they didn't keep this car in polished aluminium is beyond my comprehension. And nice car, but £1.2 million...
+Kim T. Gjøl There are only six of them though
Drooooool.....
For this kind of money. one can commission an eagle speedster and low grad coupe
Grail car
This or the Singer 911?
+yellow6ird Well, this is not to be driven on the road, only full trottle or none and stuff like that.
itsinmynamechap You guys no need to point out the difference. I'm well aware. Just asking from a pure car appreciation perspective. Not road car race car original modified what not. Simply as car.
+yellow6ird Two very special cars, but I would have to go with the Singer 911,It just has the edge for me.
+yellow6ird The Singer.
+yellow6ird As a car to drive and meant to drive I would choose the Jaguar. I cant imagine how cool it must feel if you slide through corners and how strong the connection between you and the car will be. The Jaguar needs more effort to drive which is more rewarding and more fun in my opinion.

This guy is so much better than Chris Harris.
+Olof L steady on...
+Olof L I lobe Jethro and for me his two best reviews were the 458 Speciale and the 911 GT3 review but better then Harris is a bit....
The noise gave me a headache....

It’s not super super taxing apparently. Stop the video.
First?
Now add symmetrical turbos scare the purists
forced adds are a no view
pointless car
