Impact axe is the only weapon i would say is actively bad.
There are a couple "not good" weapons. I'm looking at you drones (fire and acid ones are good though) and HE grenade.
The axe though, that can actually pull enemies into you on its way back, AND it's a crap weapon that never gets that good.
Level your gunner to get the lead burster grenade open.
Strong arm driller can use it, that makes for a super fun run.
Good call on splitting into 3 on stage 2. All the grenades allow it, it is always the right answer.
It scales with amount of bugs. There is an off chance that you have all kinetic damage with kinetic buffs.
Then adding in the kinetic boom works.
Just pick the split. It's so good.
