This, along with it's predecessor, was fantastic. Bill as Two-Face was absolutely PERFECT casting and I thought he did an outstanding job. Everything and everyone in the film was just great. An incredibly solid send off to the legend that was Adam West and a great adaptation of Harvey for the '66 series.
8:18 The pirate was Bruce's grandfather. It's been awhile, but I know he was mentioned in the series. Someone asked Aunt Harriet about "tapped for skull and bones" and she gave a heated reply.
9:53-10:30 I like to think of this scene as a little hallucination that Harvey has, a little mental conversation between him and Two-Face. Imagine him calling a non-existent number and hearing the voice of Two-Face in his head when in reality, it's just a dial tone or something. ... Or it could just be a plot hole. Who knows?

I think the phone thing is how his mind creates a channel of dialogue between his halves. Like talking to your reflection in a mirror in other movies with split characters.
Well dang, I thought the same thing. But more of a hallucination he has. In reality, it's a dial tone, because it's not a real phone number. But in his head, it's the voice of Two-Face.
There you have it, about a third of The Dark Knight condensed into: “Ah, he got hit in the face with concentrated evil.” And Captain Kirk. Now I just imagine any scene from The Dark Knight, but with either Adam West, William Shatner or Cesar Romero.
This was fun. A joy really. Glad to know that this movie wasn't a throwaway. I hate missed potential. Sorry that Mr. West is gone but at least he was able to provide this gem. So many jokes and they hit the mark. I'm surprised yet not surprised by the Harley cameo but it's just weird seeing her in this universe. Also the jealousy moments Robin had dang Warner Bros it's so easy yet never gets old. Finally HURRAY FOR BAT BITCH SLAP. :) So glad Adam West Batman got that honor.
Sure, we all make Batman/Robin gay jokes now, but back in the day people thought differently. Also in still kinda in bad taste here as officially this Robin is underage, leading to a still unacceptable behavior. Also it looks like Harvey isn't dialing a full phone number meaning it's being used as a psychological metaphor to allow the pair to communicate.
A shame we never got to see what they might have done with the character Harvey Dent (Two Face) in the actual Sixties Batman series, but I definitely feel if they did, William Shatner back then would have been the perfect actor to special guest star as him.
at least warner brothers considers adam west Irreplaceable, unlike nickelodeon, i recently saw an episode of Fairly Odd Parents, and they had Catman aka Adam West, and he was replaced by Jeff Bennett, i honestly think it'd be better if they just dont have him show up again, but nope, just replace him, ughhhhh, and people wonder why nick has gone down to be Michel Bay levels of idiocy
Honestly I know Adam west can't be replaced has the bright knight but there is a second runner up who o think could voice the character in this animation style and Diedrich Bader could do the job well
I to hope we see more animated movies based on the 1960's show (they way Dr Harleen Quinzel was introduced in this one made me think WB planned to have her be the focus of a 3rd movie before Adam West's passing). On a side note its a shame they didn't get John DiMaggio (Bender, Jake the Dog, Marcus Fenix etc) to play King Tut as he did a great job playing the character in Batman The Brave & The Bold with an amazing Victor Buono impression Seeing how Jeff Bennett replaced Adam West in Fairly Oddparents as Catman maybe they could get him to take over as Batman in any future sequels - I would love to see Bane, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, KGBeast or heck even Azrael appear in the 60's universe! It would be nice if Batgirl also finally made an animated appearance (which if WB did plan to have Harley Quinn appear in a 3rd movie could show up to avoid Batman & Robin fighting a female villain, plus she could debut in the 3rd movie after originally being introduced in the TV shows 3rd season) seeing how Yvonne Craig is sadly no longer with us maybe they could get her current VA Tara Strong to play the role
Lorenzo Semple Jr. was a key writer on the original show. Very much like how comic writers and artists have their names inserted into various landmarks around Gotham, so too is this seminal TV writer. lol
Just out of curiosity, who would you suggest to play Hugo Strange and Harleen Quinzel. Also, in my opinion, if Dr Quinzel did become Harley Quinn, I'd want her to just become a hero without Joker's influence.
This is how they should have handled Two-Face in the series, they could have skipped his origins entirely or just have an exposition dump about how he was scarred during a trial, but oh well. Also, still a better Two-Face than Tommy Lee Jones. TLJ's Two-Face was just downright bad on his own besides being a poor adaptation of the character.
17:12 umm why that’s work? Isn’t twoface got turn into one face, he doesn’t need the coin to decide what to do because he’s pure evil, not half bad half good.
I know this is an old video I just recently discovered it but what if DC did make a 3rd movie but instead of recasting batman's voice (RIP Adam West) what if batman sacrificed himself and Robin (Burt Ward) becomes the new batman to continue the legacy?
Hmm...Dr. Strange wasn't really any more than a very minor villain here. King tut had more presence. And Harley was literally just a wink to the modern audiences (thanks to the joker) although on a side note, I'd be interested in how her relationship with the joker would work in this 66 universe. I think the Cesar Romero joker would be nicer to her than his modern counterparts. Oh and there's this radio host that was friends with Adam West and he can do a great impression of him! He was part of an Adam west tribute panel that's featured on the Blu Ray for this movie. He's my pick to pay homage to the Bright Knight.
Travelbound interesting thing about Harley in this version, if you have the Blu-ray of this movie, go to special features and if you see a star with no sub text following it, click it. There you'll see an extra scene with Joker and Harley.
Could a district attorney with half a face be a villain to any other hero? He’s a good villain in execution, just not on paper (in the figurative sense).
No, I mean the Batman '66 COMICS. A handful of other villains not in the show or comics of the day made it into Batman '66 (like Bane, for example). Scarface could've been in those comics as well.

This is the greatest thing for the first time since t.v. show started and for the last time for adam west to do Batman again between the two movies made for blu ray and DVD and to get to know adam west from the two movies and with the t.v. show from the 1960s to see all of this from the past season's of the t.v. show to the two new movies of Batman today to grow up with his Batman and buy on blu ray and DVD all of them together to be part of what you have of Batman with Adam west

They kept that aspect of his character, but this particular Freeze's suit has sub-zero air jets spraying him in the face to keep him cool. Why they didn't give him George Sanders' space helmet, I'll never know.
John DiMaggio would make a good Hugo strange in animated show like this, maybe Nicole Sullivan going Shego in a Harley Quinn role. As for Batman I would go the brave & Bold route with Deidric Baiter as the voice, maybe Scott Menville as Robin.
that part of batman and catwomen having dinner while shes behind bars, that's adorable, i'd actually do that with Harley Quinn or any other super villainess waifus
I loved both this animated film and the previous one, but I have to wonder why they did not spend a little more money on it and done them in Computer Graphics animation? They could have made it look 3-d and nearly as real as the old series. If so they could have released it in theaters and made a fortune. But that is just a minor complaint. Loved every second of it as is.
And Bobsheaux don't forget about Batgirl in the Batman 66 animated universe, I would love to see the animated version of 1966 Batgirl in the Third Movie if they ever make it if not that's sad.
surprised harley wasnt voiced by a harley quinn actor for that little joke of a side-kick called harley. Especially since she wasnt made back in the day and was a comic only villian.

If they can make animated movies based on Adam West Batman, they should do some for Christopher Reeves Superman, and Linda Carter Wonder Woman.
And then a crossover with the 3, now those would be good possibilities.
