Do not take the Trolls seriously, Jenna. Your eclectic style, your choice. Your color and yarns, your choice. Nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed video greatly. Self expression is art! Keep at it.
I actually started crocheting after watching her videos. I enjoyed her energy and her attitude towards trying new things, doing her best and being kind and enthusiastic to herself while doing so. I already knew how to knit and decided to try crochet. It's been like two months and I crochet now almost every day 🙂
Oh Jenna... so cute. I remember making collars back in Jr High, and High School. We even made ear rings with angora yarn. And yes we wore the collars with the crew neck sweaters. That was back in the 50s. I love your style. Takes me back, and makes it all new too. Good job. Love the book mark. I can use that.
I paused the video 5 seconds in to come here and ask, anyone else's day brightens up just with Jenna's voice or cheery "G'monin"? I get in such a better mood as soon as I get to watch her videos! 😍 Is this what a girl crush is??🤣
Jenna, thank you so much for the inspiration and great ideas! Your energy is so uplifting and addictive, it's crazy 😁I'm from Ukraine and in the reality we live now it's very hard to relax and stay sane. I was looking for something simple to hold on to, something that would make me happy and help kill time waiting for peace. You've inspired me to start crocheting and knitting, and I'm getting better every day thanks to your videos. I'm hooked and get so excited when there's a new one on your channel! I wish you all the best in your life. Please keep on, you're making so many people happy and motivated. PS: I also love how real you are and your dogs are so adorable❤
Jenna, you are a gem of a gift yourself. Your videos never fail to inspire and delight. I gave up crocheting several years back and now thanks to watching your videos I am back at it. So far this year I have crocheted two berets and a jacket. Thanks for the laughs and the inspiration. Love from Ireland
as someone who loves to read, to crochet and to smother my friends in gifts, they will ALL HAVE A CROCHET FLOWER BOOKMARKER! Thank you so much for this idea, I'm off to the yarn store ~
Usually with collar things like that l do increase in the same places every row - and get a bat wing/dragon wing type effect which can even be a shawl or a cape or a cloak if you carry on!
Jenna! Omg weave your ends as you go, its so easy. Just crochet over the end of your previous colour with your next colour or even crochet over the end when you crochet the row below. That way you don't have loads of ends to weave in at the end.
Also a dangler, not sure what to call it, similar to the bookmark for hanging from a car mirror. With a little strawberry or crochet frog would be cute too.
I love what you have made today. The collar is ideal. I often wear men’s sweaters because they are longer and I’m tall. A collar makes them look pretty. Also you seem so much happier now.
Ok so Im only just to the end of the collar, but I wanted to say I totally agree with hating weaving tails in! I’ve started laying the tails along where I’m crocheting, and working them in as I go, it saves SO much time. Hope that helps!
"Je suis fini" 😂😂😂 I'm french and I wasn't prepared to this. Thanks again for your videos, they are all great and always make me want to take over an old project that I could start during the holidays and that I finally left aside by taking classes again. (Yeah I’m a student)
Those book marker things would be the perfect use for the roses and skulls i randomly made ages ago... i made so many of them and i just packed them in a box with all the random squares and shapes i made... I'm just slipstitching all my shapes and granny squares together into a blanket or something like that so i can have less random half done things around the place and i can get into making more stuff that is better so I'm not overwhelmed by all the stuff i habe
Oh, and my grandmother and her sister made delicate fancy crochet collars (and cuffs, little wrist bands) to put on after work if they were going to a concert or the theatre, possibly the cinema, after work. They were nurses so l guess they looked like they had plain dark blue dresses and then fancy pretty crochet (most of them were white) on top.
A book bag or kindle sleeve also easy and quick for Christmas gifts. All single crochet. Reminded me i need to get hooking some stocking stuffers. Fun as always.
Crocheting/ sewing/crafting with Adhd is chaos, as I never finish just one project first. I get bored, start another, rinse, repeat, then it's a mad rush to finish them all on Christmas Eve!😆
I really struggle with following instructions for Crochet online, and this is probably the first time i think i could understand something. Mostly the headband, i think the pattern is cute and i really wanna make one because it seems so simple
All of these are so cute!! I've been in a bit of a rut but within 5 minutes of starting this video I started a new project - definitely going to make these items next - love them 😍
Over 40 years ago I started knitting 2 baby afghans. They were from the 7-day afghans book by Rita Weiss. Took me 4 years to finish them. I was a beginner knitter. But I was able to do half an afghan in just a couple of days. I just getting side tracked. Then it was too late to give it to person I started the afghans for. Then someone else got pregnant. So, I started back up. Got bored and tucked the projects away. During this time we moved a couple of times, hubby was in the military. I think I finished them when my sister got pregnant. I haven't knitted since. I mostly crochet. I use to do other crafts, but crocheting is my go to.
I make my headbands the same way. If you make them wider and close up one end, you have a tuque! I love the bookmarks. Definitely going to make some as gifts.
Omg so so so cute... I think I'm going to make the flower bookmarks, but try and make the "dangler" into a leaf? We'll see how it turns out 😅 Great video as always ❤
I super love sewing and making things. But I got sick. And it's been a minute to get back into everything gradually... lol That's why I love communities like this! I just sewed the toughest vest project for the local theater. AND It was all soooo satisfying. Most shows and groups are scheduled through the art consortium. So it's a really accurate quality of live theater!!! Sooo exciting. Yah! Than I sewed a blanket as a gift. And I'm doing my yearly fun baking. But I like making new challenging dishes. On top of a classic dish for friends family and staff 😊🎉
Where is Benson??? I always look for him first because he looks just like my Cinnamon who died a year ago ... white face and all! She was the best doggie ever, so when I see Benson I smile and smile while I shed a few tears for my girl. I hope he is just snoozing somewhere! I came here right now to get gift ideas, and boom ...I scored! Love you and all your projects Jenna
I love your content so much… watching it always makes my day so much better. You have ensured me in so many ways with my knitting/crocheting. Love your stuff keep doing what your doing❤
4:15 Hi Jenna ! Would it be possible to do a tutorial on how to crochet with a yarn of different thickness because I have one similar to this but idk how to use it :( Thanks ! 🫶
I love the book mark. That looks so achievable . I mean assuming I ever learn to crochet anything . And I do think it’s a great gift idea . Kind of a fun thing to send along with Christmas cards. If you actually still send them . I might actually pay for that class and take it because I am struggling + a class might be fun.
to make my tie strings, I chain and then come BACK with a slip stitch [or SC or HDC or DC] to end up where I began. Then weave in. Make a stronger tie.
I have a tip for you for weaving in the ends. If you change colors a lot like you do you can crochet it into the piece as you go so you only have your ending strands to weave in at the end. Save you a lot of time my friend ❤
while i was just watching a video you uploaded 2 years ago, i saw that you uploaded a new one. 🩵 you're getting greater at crochet! 💐 you inspire me increadibly, i love watching your videos, especially when i'm crocheting something 🧶❤✨
Loved the video. Good projects. Also bought a ticket to your skillshare event. I pretty much know how to crochet but it's just fun hanging out with you. Also every good teacher adds to your knowledge and makes you better at your skill.❤
love the head band my hair is past my bum and THICCCCK hats are out the question as i always have it up and with a big head to go with it finding a hat to fit.. well i gave up on that years ago lol. i might have to try a headband just gotta learn how to do a straight row 1st i cant for the life of me not increase or decrease but i can do a perfect granny square lol

I've been crocheting for over forty years and still enjoy it. I'm glad young ladies are still doing it.
It's so great young people of all genders have been getting into these crafts like crochet and knitting❤
I just started a year ago, I’m 12😅😅 y’all are pros 💗💗
@@JanaAlSabahi keep at it, it's a life long hobby you can enjoy! It's nicer now than ever before because of all the tutorials that are out there!
@@barbaraweber3084 yeah!! It’s amazing just a bit hard to manage with school but it’s fun
Young guys too

Who else doesn't crochet but watched anyway because they like hanging out with Jenna?

I already knew how to knit and decided to try crochet. It's been like two months and I crochet now almost every day 🙂
I crochet and I was so glad to find Jennacubbine cos you're so right it does feel like she's just here hanging out with us 🥰
It's funny how I start 1 hour projects and it takes me 5 days to complete. Crocheting with a toddler in the house is fun! 😅
My daughter is 16 months … I feel you 😂😂
lol, times 3 for me. At least my oldest is actually kind of interested in learning more than just getting in my way XD
2 year old and almost 1 year old making crocheting very interesting for me too
I feel that but I've been able to make 3 cardigans this month alone it can be done mommas 🩷 I'm due with my second here in 1 week
I also have 3. Rowdy boys. I usually have to wait till husband comes home or everyone's asleep 😅 but I'd rather give them attention

It could also be fun to do a snowflake or snowman style bookmark if you are gifting for the holidays! Loved seeing your handmade gift ideas ❤
Jenna is my spirit animal
This is perfect, as I have no money for gifts bc I spent all my money on yarn
🤣
Brilliant, love it! 🙋🏻♀️

I love that your energy matches mine, I have ADHD and your videos keep entertained from start to finish! They always make me smile!
For ponytails and winter I highly recommend a beanie type hat with a hole at the top to stick the ponytail out of!!!
I made an ear warmer headband with chunky yarn in a thermal stitch...life changing for this Canadian.
Jenna! Omg weave your ends as you go, its so easy. Just crochet over the end of your previous colour with your next colour or even crochet over the end when you crochet the row below. That way you don't have loads of ends to weave in at the end.
I think a strawberry 🍓 bookmark in place of or with the flower would be super cute.
