I start making christmas gifts for the next winter just after the new years! Highly recommend!
During the year, I also make "extra" gifts, so if I'm invited to a party/birthday, I always have a gift ready!
I made one and a half gifts in January last year then took an eleven month break 😭 lolol i shall be more cognizant of it this year 🤞having extra things done for gifts is so smart too!! 😩

omg I felt this, I didn't even have to make as many gifts as that but I was literally so burnt out of crocheting, I haven't done it in weeks- but this made me want to start again (not as intense lol). And all the ones I was making were animals, now I really wanna make clothes and stuff again!

the relatability of this video... i made 9 hats in a month and half while also having an extreme amount of stress and schoolwork and prepping for winter dance recital. now that im done im making gifts for my good friends bday in early jan! i was inspired by one of your vids with the txt album blanket, so one of the gifts is a tapestry of the free fall logo ❤

yeeeah, this isn't a cute or relatable video - please don't do something like this again. being able to make christmas gifts (which lets be honest probably won't be appreciated in the way that you might hope for) shouldn't mean potentially injuring yourself in the long run. if you keep up this kinda shit, you're gonna end up permanently damaging your wrists and hands.
this ain't the kinda fiber arts content i wanna see; hopefully we can leave behind these unhealthy behaviours in 2024. happy new year!
i appreciate your concern and i agree with being careful and not injuring yourself and im not about hustle culture but, at the same time, making challenges for myself is fun for me and is what keeps me motivated. I stopped after i realized what was happening to my arm and took a few days off which was very much needed lol My wrist and hands rarely hurt crocheting for many hours a day so i got carried away thinking I’d be fine as long as it didn’t hurt. I don’t mean to condone this behaviour and don’t think i made it look too appealing but i should be more conscious of normalizing things like this too 😅 thank you and happy new year!! 🤗
@@Charlord9001i’m glad to hear that you took much needed breaks to rest your hands and arms! i’m not the quickest crocheter in the world but i’ve been crocheting for almost ten years now and i don’t have any hand or wrist injuries yet which i attribute to my slower pace. i admire your tenacity here but you just looked and sounded so miserable in this video and crochet should be fun! 😅 you don’t wanna hurt yourself AND suck the joy outta the craft. getting crochet burnout really sucks!
