It happens to all of us bud especially plumbing make sure you get extra stuff hammer drill would help you a lot you can also sharpen the concrete drills on a grinder
Check instructions for the tap cons and see if they were supposed to go in using an impact. Some can only be installed with a ratchet as the hammering action of the impact ruins the bite they have into concrete, creating a pullout failure risk. Also, check their shear strength per the manufacturer. The issue isn’t so much pulling out as it’s also shear of the fastener itself, IMO put in a second set of hold downs a bit away from the first and spread the load out.
I learned the hard way, with drilling concrete. Thanks to TH-cam university, I learned about a Hammer Drill. Saved me so much time and energy 😅 Kudos to you, for getting it done
Nah, been in construction most of my life. If your not a journeyman you will be doing a lot of learning along the way. I would back them out and fill them about half way with epoxy and zipp them back in, stay away from the joints in the concrete and seal the the concrete with some Thompsons or epoxy coat. Nice job, looks good
So freaking happy for you, just great to see your dyno up and running. And heck yes, anything done to the house or house related things it's many trips to Home Depot for me.
The drill you are using is incorrect causing the bits to wear out. But even then they normally are only good for about 7-10 holes depending on how deep and how big a hole
You should not use those screwing leg bolts for concrete. You should either use ones that go all the way through and pull up underneath or use chemical those things suck they will in thread
Everything looks good. Only thing I would recommend is 1/2 maybe even 5/8 anchor bolts atleast 6-8 inches long. Them 3/8 concrete lag bolts are going to take a beating. I really hate to see an accident happen or a d-ring get ripped out of the ground.
Bits are wearing out because your supposed to use a hammer drill on concrete.
Fair enough. Got the job done though lol
@MustangLifestyleTV lol your absolutely correct. But I was here watching like oh man. He gone have some trouble lol. New set up is dope 👌
Yep need hammer drill and lower rpm. The rpm is most likely the killer. Lower rpm and no hammer drill would most likely not have killed as many bits
It should be the Mustang Lifestyle Headquarters - MLHQ

Looking good! And yeah when I have a project I end up making multiple trips to Lowe's/Home Depot/ACE Hardware too.
Everyone has to learn how to do everything once lol. You are learning.
Your not alone man, one quick trip to Lowes always leads to another one an hour later for me too 😂
You need to get into car giveaways to boost the Merch sales!
The house and property are bad ass man love the new place
Man I’ve been watching your channel for years.. congrats on all your new endeavors, I’m happy for you bro, keep it up

Always make a plan write it down get to Lowe's can't find a paper I wrote it all down on 😢
Happens to me every time!
Bosch, Diablo, or Milwaukee make good bits. Also you need to utilize the hammer drill setting on your drill if it has it. FYI
Happy you are finally operational!
Good job Andrew, nice shop..
It happens to me also
Always buy quality bits... cheap ones die fast...

These ones are specifically made for concrete

Came here to say this. Those bolts are not nearly long enough for my liking.
Awesome
