These last few videos after a long spell of no Chromatic has been insane! quality, production, way more confident talking on camera, oh and the drip, my guy.. Keep it up!
Thank you brother! Really spent some time trying to figure out how to be more consistent and have stuff planned out. Hopefully it sticks! Appreciate you 🩷
Big fan of the style. Also all the shots are very well thought out. Not easy to get the right angles and to actually get the work done by yourself. Props.
Love your videos. Remember that the rear shocks/dampers are meant to be tightened to spec with the vehicle sitting on the ground. This will prevent the rubber bushing from being twisted out of its place.
Chromatic it’s 3:53 am I just finished steam cleaning my wheel wells and fender liners separately. 303 on top! Next will be getting at the brake calipers with a wire wheel and paint. You’ve helped me detail the shit out of my beam thx for all the kick ass videos.
Great video. Would recommend swapping out the bolts connecting the end link bracket to the subframe for a longer one. Should have a couple of exposed threads after the nylock, in order for the nylock to be effective.
Great work as always Mike! Koni/GC has always been a favorite of mine, I used them on my honda build back in the day and truly enjoyed how it drove. Can't wait to put my condor bushings into my 2002 now!
Man, love this content, reminded me of so much fun when I restored both front and rear end on my car couple months ago. Rides like a charm nowadays, and I'm sure yours too after this resto.
Fantastic JOB! But i can give you a advice, torq the suspension components to spec with the car on the ground. if you torq for example the shock absorber on the lift, the bushings will tear pretty quickly.
Not necessary with spherical or poly/Delrin type of bushings with the separate inner metal sleeve, that can rotate freely. That advice only applies to rubber bushings that have a bonded sleeve that cannot freely rotate.
@@lukathegarlic well yeah, if it's a bonded sleeve then torque at ride height. But I think that's the only bushing that may have that issue. The others shown in the video can freely rotate and so do not need to be preloaded at ride height.
Thank you Zac! I’m pretty much entirely using Epidemic Sound now. Good for me but not so good for others as a bunch of it can’t be found on public platforms like Spotify/Apple Music ⭐️
@@ChromaticGarage yeah I've noticed. Keep it up mate. Also I love how you keep using the mist filter on your camera, adds such a nice haze and ambience to the shots!
Nice video love it. You probably going to regret all those solid bushing. Makes the car drove like crap as a road car. Something in between oem rubber and solid makes the car less annoying imo.
Thanks man! Everything about this car is going to be set up to be harsh and annoying. Not something I’ll be driving long distances. Other cars for that 🤝
How are u not sweating like a pig working on ur car. Lmao. I’m always just like huffing n puffin or losing shit or stressing out going back to my phone to see what I did wrong hahaha.
@@ChromaticGarage Also, on the engine swap, you will use an electric fan for cooling? or mechanical clutch fan and also what radiator? I need some help cuz on my m50 swap the mechanical clutch fan broke my radiator and now i dont know what changes to do, thank you for responding
Those rear end link brackets (skinnier opening and extended bolt) are exactly what I'm after asking have reinforced trailing arms also. Do you have a link to where these are sold?
The short answer is yes. But every situation is different. When dealing with bushings this hard you’re not really concerned about torsional twisting as you are with oem style pushing. In this case I may also have to remove the subframe again to get the gas tank in properly
This type of am bushings rotate freely even after torquin. But that lower shok mount is going to tear after a year because its molded to the outter shel of the bushing and cant rotate.

@@peterglenn3508 I'll keep the suit in closet, though. And the gold watch too. The Sony XM4s are going to get bashed on subframes repeatedly, though.
Haha I love that. Being comfortable is important, feeling good is important. Laundry machines exist for a reason, so we can wear our clothes 😭
haha our thoughts coincide! 😅
Don't forget Bluetooth apple buttplug. You just can't see that in these videos
