Even though not showing workflow, he describes - which is imho even more important - the different thought strategy while building game scores. Not linear left to right, but in dynamic matrixes. Love that, cause that’s a very important and difficult change in thought work.
Olivier Deriviere is honestly the most overlooked composer in gaming. His work on A Plague Tale games was phenomenal and they wouldn't have been my favorites if it weren't for him.
Due to the removal of some libraries, my Cubase started opening in safe mode, and then stopped opening altogether. At the moment Cubase 12 does not open, a simple reinstallation does not help. Please tell me how to properly uninstall Cubase from a computer (windows11) and then reinstall Cubase so that everything works?
The thing I am most unhappy about Cubase 12 is that when you are scrolling with the mouse wheel trough a project you can change the levels of your tracks and not even know what happened until you play the song and notice something is off. Will you fix this in Cubase 13?
Much respect to Olivier for always advocating for the interactivity in video game music!
Nice video with a great composer, but would have been much more interesting to see his workflow on the two softwares...at least a little bit.
