He didn’t work on the storyline of the third Rocksteady game in the series, Batman: Arkham Knight, due to the company not wanting to hire freelance writers for future games. He only did Arkham asylum and city
Visually the game looks great with Metropolis having this amazing Art Deco meets 1950s retro futurism look and feel. It's by far the best rendition of Metropolis we've seen in any DC media outside of the Animated Series so i have to give them credit for that. It looks Arkham Knight levels of map quality in layout, designs, and attention to detail so i'm assuming that talent from the past games are still working on this game's world. Also I'm positive that this open world was designed around the cancelled Superman game they were working on but WB told them to turn this into a Suicide Squad project so Rocksteady then had to provide these characters with traversal equipment to get around the map that was originally designed for flight. But who knows maybe this was planned all along but it's pretty care that they put alot of effort into Metropolis itself while other aspects of the game seem less exciting. I want to explore this world more than Gotham Knight's world space which was very lacking in layout and design overall pretty boring city layout with the same block buildings and copy and paste stores. Metropolis looks more much complex and fun to explore both on foot and by vehicle while Gotham felt boring as hell with it's block layout. Terms of gameplay I do prefer the behind the scenes footage that was shown in the open world. To me it just looked more fun than the footage we saw from that mission. It gave me massive Sunset Overdrive vibes mixed with Crackdown so if the gameplay is this level of fun then i'll have a blast along with this open world. Hope to see the vehicle gameplay which gives me Dead Rising 3 vibes with these over the top killing machines running down waves of enemies. Just seems like a VERY different game to what people expected.

I found the same Irish bar on every block as well while Arkham Knight you could find one really cool Irish bar close to Wayne Tower with tricolour flags and everything. The pride flags would make since in an LGBTQ area of Metropolis.
And on what grounds can you say they were making a Superman game cause I have seen NOTHING in terms of evidence or even discussion that rocksteady were the ones in charge, or even that it was being developed at all. Like where is this info coming from
This is most likely the games *very first boss fight.* You wouldn't have the first boss fight be against a justice league member and this was very simplistic. That means the game will pick up much more after this point.
I can see that tbh. The open world gameplay looked the most interesting but that did seem like an early boss battle, they've really only been showing Flash related stuff so Imagine the other fights are more in depth. Excited for The Batman one that could be extremally different that's what I want in this game fun boss fights that are all different from each other.

Why aside from this vid Is no one gonna talk about how, for some bizzare reason, Boomerang actually has the best and most fun looking gameplay? Like seriously. He's the only one that feels like he 'fits' for this style of game with his speed and agiltiy and how he has the most visually interesting and fluid looking gameplay and abilites. Everyone else is kinda 'ok' but he legit looks straight up fun to play. And im surprised i haven't seen anyone else mention this aside from Demigah.

They explained why fucking Boomerang now has Minato's kunai but not why Deadshot is a completely different person. - Speaking of Assault on Arkham, Deadshot kills Amanda Waller at the end of the movie, and yes that movie is canon. So why the hell she here? who knows. Seriously, who's calling the shots on WB Games? Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad are such a mess that i can't even process what they were going.
But now over a year later, Gotham knights did better than suicide squad kill the justice league. They gave the batman in gotham knights the proper sendoff that they should've gave Kevin Conroy's batman in Suicide squad kill the justice league, it wasn't live service, and was more interesting

Shooting the Purple Balls on Tanks is such a big letdown from Gameplay perspective. I gave up on this game from the Moment I saw DeadShot consistently hitting the Purple Ball on the Giant Cannon to free up Lex Luthor
Plot Armor keeps Batman from immediately triggering all the Squads head bombs. He already hacked the remote codes and frequency (Prep Time.) Batman not being the main character is what allows him to actually be mind controlled in the first place. This game looks like a cross between Borderlands and some sort of skateboard/snowboarding game.

But you make actually good points and made a pretty entertaining video with valid critiques in it. The jokes sprinkled throughout are pretty good too lol.
I guess that's what happens when you make three bangers (yeah third game left to players discretion) in the arkham games and along with the studio/WB not knowing how to use their properties right in during an 8 year absence. There really is no where else to go but downhill.
