Troubled youth they are called. I see young people with great potential who are more sensitive than others which caused them to trust wrong people and end up in bad life circumstances

Seeing the empathy and raw emotion expressed by these young people gives me hope for a more compassionate future.

I have met opposition and disapproval along the way but never strayed from doing the right thing because someone else thought I was crazy. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. I love how receptive and open these young men are to the vegan movement! It backs up how oppressed people can sympathize with injustice while privileged people are more ignorant to these subjects, displaying some disturbing cognitive dissonance and other psychologically alarming traits when the subject is even mentioned...
While many of these young men easily make the connection which is so hard for so many despite the troubles they face. I actually had bittersweet tears of joy in my eyes and a little more of my faith in humanity restored! Sending so much love and hope to everyone and thank you Joey for being you. This is so strong. Everytime I talk to my dad, he calls me as a vegan an extremist, he calls veganism sick, he says that every scientifically proven argument I say is just my opinion. But worst of all, he makes me doubt veganism over and over again. Joey, I am writing this with tears in my eyes because I am so grateful for your activism. keep persevering with your mum! mine had issues with it at first. she is probably just worried about your health. with my mum i agreed to have a blood test a couple of months in so my diet could be adjusted to make me healthy if i wasn't, or maybe i'd go back to eating meat. this can be a good way to reassure her and prove her wrong! (i was fine)
If you can, get the app Cronometer. You can log all of your food and it tells you your nutrient intake. You can see if you are getting enough protein, carbs, fats, calories, vitamins, minerals, etc. This will reassure her of your health!
Our mind is like a garden. Seeds may fall in, whether good or bad, it may one day sprout. But do you let every little seed sprout to eventually grow into a tree or do you choose to be the cultivator of your own garden and maybe plant some of your own seeds? We all have a choice to design our own garden. Thank you Joey for planting those seeds.

Seeing these people's reactions is truly emotional.. as you remember the feeling when you first see this cruelty to animals.. that sinking gut ranching feeling when you see the reality of what is really going on. I tried to make my family to see footages but they refused. My mom said she couldn't do that because it broke her heart but continued eating meat; my sister blocked me on Facebook saying she liked eating meat; my brother also blocked me on Facebook and said he did not care about animals.

Every time you do your activism and you speak to someone I noticed that when they had that reaction of disgust and sadness, you never went in to comfort them. Early on I wondered why but now I can see that letting them switch on that light bulb themselves and experience that moment of realisation and sadness is the most powerful moment. I am really glad now that you don't go in and hug them or interrupt that; almost letting those thoughts flow through. Very very powerful! Love your work. Veganism is the future

This is one of the many reasons I love you Joey. I was such a hard ass kid. But I had to be, it was just survival. I never joined a gang only because of where I lived, there weren't any, but I ran with bad ppl. Most of my peer group was dead before 30 yrs old. I had someone take an interest and it saved me. This talk, to those kids is immensely valuable. Troubled kids are often the most intelligent ones just born into a tough spot. This is why you're on this earth Joey. You're a hero. I love you.

I'm a middle aged, white, middle classed man in the UK and maybe for the first time, as a vegan, I think I get what it is to have the mindset of a minority.

I love your passion. I'm binge watching all of your videos and I'm learning so much. I'm sharing what I learn with the people I know. My parents consume significantly less animal products than they used to and my sister is in transition to become a vegetarian (trying to help her change her diet to a vegan one). The people I've debated about veganism never fail to tell me vegans are always so self-righteous. It's crazy how many things they'll say to move away from the truth as much as possible.
