note to everyone, always open the "Fill port" before draining the differential! Sometimes the fill bolt is seized with rust and cannot be opened... then you end up with an empty differential with no oil and no way to fill it back up.
Can you give me a tip as to which differential gear oil is suitable for my 2016 Transit V363? The original oil 2433507 is far too expensive, Autodoc chat recommended 4 different oils with defferent specifications to me. Complicates everything
I think 3 litres of 75w140 is what Ford recommend for the mk7 and mk8 transit RWD. Meeting the specification WSL-M2C192-A. GL5 oil is effectively Hypoid oil which is for heavy duty applications
@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 what's the difference between engine oil and diff oil? What nasty things you see in the diff cover you can see in engine oil pan as well?
@@897aa33 It is a big difference. First of all the weight of the oil. The problem that you can find in both Differential and a Engine Oil Pan is metal shavings.
You are being sarcastic, but the reason why the cover has to be removed is due to lack of a drain bolt. Maybe you missed it but perhaps it's just part of your personality and being snarky is your dish without any knowledge whatsoever. Grow up

Man they couldn't have two plugs (fill and drain) instead of all those bolts? LOL!
How many litres do you use for differential? It's ok if I use 75w140 oil I have a ford transit 2.4 tdi 2007. Thanks
I used three quarts for the HD350. I personally do not see anything wrong with using 75-140. You should be fine.

What's the internal for differential oil change (2019 T250)? The manual doesn't say it.
Use 75w-90 Full Synthetic
@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 How many mileage?
@si4speed for normal use 150,000. But if you are Towing etc 30,000-50,000 miles.
Супер спасибо!!! 👍
Do you also remove engine oil pan when changing engine oil ?
No sir,
Removing a engine oil pan is a complete differ job and a big one. Just remove the oil plug and replace your oil filter and you will be fine.
Watch my video on changing engine oil on the Ford Transit.
Thanks

I've got some oil that's wrapped around my differential - any ideas on how to ensure that gasket doesn't leak?
Make sure that the gasket is clean before installing. If your gasket is damaged. And you are not able to get another one. Use Silicone
Why did you sand the gasket again once it was on
You dont add a bottle of friction modifier in there?
Only if it's a limited slip.
Where's the dirty fluid?!
