    Ok. I have followed a lot of TH-camrs that have toured this area. I can positively say without a doubt that you are the best. So much so that I deleted all the others and will just follow you. Also, I have shared and told all my outdoor friends about you. Thank you for showing how much fun it is to have fun in my state and for acting so cool when you have to change plans. Bless you both. So excited to watch where you go and follow where you have been.

    A really great series on the Utah National Parks and Southern Utah in general. As a native of Utah, I have been to these areas several times over the past 50+ years - but you are doing (hiking) parts of them that I have never even considered before. Makes me want to explore my own backyard a lot more. The hike to Druid Arch looks incredible. All the best.

    • @AdventuresofAplusK
      @AdventuresofAplusK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Isn't it WILD?! Druid Arch felt like a movie set! And we know the feeling, there is SOOOO much to do there! Our Utah videos span over 2 months, but we only spent about 16ish days actually exploring, so it's doable, especially if you don't mind busy days!

    Hi y’all! I just returned from southern Utah (Moab to Zion). Wanted to let y’all know that I came across your videos as I was planning my trip, and they were so helpful! Discovered Peekaboo/Spooky, Calf Creek Falls through you guys, and those were 2 of our favorite hikes. Most importantly, we got to Zion over the crazy Memorial Day weekend, and when the park closed the gates that morning, we knew to head to Kolob Canyons and were still able to have an epic day. "Adventures" indeed. "Adventures of A+K" is catchier than, say, "Four Iron Feet", but you two are some hike-a-holics.
    Be careful you don't accidentally include the wrong footage if you wind up in haste during the editing process, such as:
    When you took turns holding the camera while the other walked past that window in the rock: "OK, I'm ready, go---HA HA HA!" And the camera subject is standing in the window, mooning the photographer: "Hey, nobody's around, right?"
    Or Kathryn sliding and falling on her butt: "&^%$, (*!#, *&%$#, that hurts! That's gonna leave a bruise. Dude, you're not going to be laughing when you have to carry me the last three miles back!"
    As always, thanks for sharing. You deserve more groupies (Band-Aids? see also, "Almost Famous") but we are devoted.

I have so enjoyed your Utah travels and look forward to returning next year. In the meantime, I'll explore some of the Appalachian highlights closer to home. Hi, I am really enjoying watching your travel adventures. We plan to visit Canyonlands in next month and I have one big question. You parked, then hiked quite far away and later on, how were you able to find your way back to where you started? I see you used All Trails Pro app and does it guide you just like a GPS? Thank you.

    • @AdventuresofAplusK
      @AdventuresofAplusK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We were able to see the trails and routes on the app since we download offline maps and could figure out our way that way. You have to have AllTrails Pro to do that though.

    We were in the Needles District in November of 2020. We loved it there. You are so right about the scenery and “fun” on the trails. We were able to start at Elephant Hill and hike to Chesler Park and the Joint Trail which was our first taste of slot canyons. I recognized several parts of your trail. 17 miles is a long, long haul. We did 11 and were exhausted. Plus we were outrunning a snow storm at the end, which made for some pretty cool photos. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I love watching your channel!

    • @AdventuresofAplusK
      @AdventuresofAplusK  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      11 is tough on its own! We were already nervous for how long of a day that was going to be! I bet seeing a snow storm come in was super cool. Did you get to see snow after it fell?

    my sisters landlord used to be one of the cowboys here in the 70s! Someone (suspectingly government-paid) terrorized the cowboys, killed their cattle, torched their cabins and pretty much drove them out so they could make the canyonlands into a national park. Mark (the cowboy) said they couldn’t recover so they moved their ranch to eastern Oregon. Also apparently there’s oil fields in the area the government wanted to keep hidden. Anyway. Some sad but interesting history about that cowboy site you found. That’s where the cowboys went.
