The color looks really good on you! I just recently ordered the foundation in Swan, which will be here soon, so I'm happy to see that it truly is neutral. You're using so many of my favorites in this video! Both the brow products, the blush, the bronzer. Speaking of the bronzer, I got it because of you and I LOVE it. I never was much of a bronzer person but this one is the perfect light neutral tan color on me and it's just so pretty. Your recommendations always work out so well for me!
My skin is also neutral in my face and neck. When the girl at Ulta recommended this brand and shade Swan - I thought it looked too dark. Once I put it on though, it was amazing how it made my skin look so good. I didn't ever think to try matte, but I love this foundation. My face tends to get dry, so I double up the moisturizer (oil-free, I get acne easy). LOVE on you too, you're gorgeous
Yeah I love that. I'm so glad you explained about the swatches. When I searched Snow I was horrified that it was the lightest shade and yet soooo orange! Swan isn't out in the UK yet but I'm interested in trying it when it is. Our skin tones are very similar except I'm covered in freckles. 💋

I know I'm late to this party, but I found snow a bit dark, and swan a bit yellow, but one pump of snow mixed with one pump of charlotte tilbury's magic foundation is beyond perfect. It sounds expensive yes, but it is an amazing mix! Would recommend if anyone has the same issues with BTW colouring and happens to have the magic foundation kicking about!
Thank you so much for doing this. Snow and Very Fair were just a bit too dark for me, but I liked the formula. I'm neutral to slightly warm (especially in the summer) so it looks like Swan and Fairest might work for me.

I'm new to makeup entirely so this is my first expensive make up purchase and I'm so glad I am happy with it. I'm so happy they finally released Swan! I bought Snow a while back and used it even though it was too dark because I loved the formula so much. Swan is almost perfect for my skin tone. I was like a kid on Christmas when I found out about it.

Most helpful how you compare shades of foundations that you have tried esp.describing the undertone. Doesn't matter how pale the shade if undertone not right. Thanks
You help me so much with pale shades! We are the same exact shade pretty much I just have a little bit of dry skin that's the only thing that makes our skin different. That and I am always getting slightly red from sun here in Arizona. You take such good care of your skin it seems. It's so beautiful! Please keep making videos you are amazing!
Great video! I think the new shade works well for you. I bought the very fair concealer after watching your top concealers for pale skin video, as my skin is very dry under my eyes, and I definitely like it! Like you said about the foundation, I don't find it to be long wearing, so I still wear my Lancome concealer to work.
I just finished a 10 hour shift and feel dead but when I saw the notification for this video and it made me feel so much better! I can't wait to get a sample of this when it gets released !

Thank you so much for this review! Unfortunately this foundation never worked for me :( it wore off so quickly even on my dry skin and ended up looking quite patchy at the end of the day. Although after seeing you review it in this video I'm almost tempted to give it another go, your skin looks flawless! Happy to see that they expanded the colour range too as snow was waaaay to dark to be considered a fair foundation shade, swan seems to be a great match for you :)
Hi Arna! I'm like a shade darker than you, but definately with cool undertone (for example Nars Montblanc is a bit dark for me but works better than Siberia). What shade do you think would suit me better in the Born This Way, Snow or Swan? I think Swan would look too light and too yellow, but I've seen that Snow is pretty yellow too. What do you think? Ainhoa I’m very fair and cool toned, the snow looks great on me, it even looks little pale but not orange or yellow I also wear 0.5 in urban decay (tho it slightly oxidizes)

Definitely going to grab the concealer for when my under eyes are being dryer, I've been really wanting to try it & so happy I finally can. I think these new shades might be the right ones for me.
I wasn't a fan of the Born this way foundation - more because the Snow shade didn't match my skin. I agree they swatch different then when you actually apply. I'll give the new shade a go, I'm definitely neutral undertone so it might work better

Woah, idk where I’ve been the last 8 months, but I had no idea until now that Too Faced made this lighter shade! Friggin’ space cadet over here lol... Anyways, thank you so soo much for making this video! I’m the same skin tone as you, and I’m so thrilled to finallyy buy a new foundation with confidence for once!
I have neglected my BTW in snow, in summer it's an absolute stretch I think I'm too neutral for it. I have to mix it with a white mixer even then and I'm lazy. I more or less use make up forever daily now. Nice to see the Too Face expanding I think they are going the other way too which is great for deeper skin tones.
I'm definitely more neutral, though maybe I lean warm because I can make siberia work for me. I've got snow and also think it's quite yellow toned, it's slightly too dark so once it's finished I'll purchase swan. Also I put the hourglass mineral veil primer underneath on just my t-zone and blot throughout the day as that's where it wears off. With that it will last around 9 hours. I find this much better as a winter foundation when I'm not battling the extreme humidity of the Australian summer.
Is swan more yellow than snow? I'm cool toned but have been able to pull off snow, HOWEVER, it is a tad dark for me. I'd like to get swan for the fact that it is lighter, but if it's more yellow I would not be able to make it work. Unfortunately I'm unable to get a sample
It is a touch more yellow sadly! I would probably stay away if you’re super cool toned! I can make it work if I wear it as a single layer but it’s not my best match x

The new shades are available at Sephora and Ulta in the states so I bought my tan shade and swan for my pale shade. I love this foundation! When I have no fake tan on I am very, very fair and very neutral so I am hopeful that swan will match me with no tan. Have you seen that tarte expanded their shade range for rainforest of the sea foundation? The palest shade porcelain is very very fair and neutral.
Thanks :)) I tried using porcelain before snow came out (didn’t work). Tried snow out but it was pretty yellow. I thought about trying swan but I’m still so afraid it’ll be yellow for me. Your video was nice to watch so I could kind of see how it looks on pale skin as it goes on.
Arna Alayne Can I ask if it oxidizes? The UD 0.5 (it's the all nighter though) suits me when I first apply it but then oxidizes 2 shades darker (and goes orange) after an hour or two. :(
DannersKananers UD 0.5 does the same to me too :( but thankfully Swan doesn't at all - in fact, it appears more pale blended into the face than a swatch *witchcraft* haha
Arna Alayne I literally had this exact same problem! 0.5 was just a shade too dark when oxidized and a bit to pink even though it said it was neutral and I tried swan today and am in love with it No more mixing for me 🎉

I wear 1.0 in Urban Decay Naked Skin. Looking at the swatches, I'm thinking that Snow looks so orange! Would you think Swan is better when you wear 1.0 in UD? I think that Snow looks more like 1.5 from UD and I'm afraid of looking to much like an orange. Which one do you think I should choose, considering that the colour might get darker through oxidation.

she definitely has fair skin but is not extremely pale by any means :-) she has stated that Kat Von D in L42 is far too light for her & even said it makes her look ghostly. L44 matched her. For me personally L44 is SUPER dark, there is no way for me to make it work. L42 works for me, & L41 is my perfect shade. I used to think she was super pale, but after watching many videos of hers & seeing shades match her that are super duper dark on me, I think she looks paler on camera than in real life. And often her thumbnails look super pale but in the video she's much darker lol :-) Just in terms of matching her skin to yours, see if she has reviewed a foundation you own & compare her shade to yours to figure out how close you guys are in shade :-) xo ❤️

No they really are that orange if you are quite pale. They look orange on my arm, I've gotten them from Sephora. Thankfully they don't look as orange on the face.
I was hoping Swan was more of a neutral shade, although I agree it looks so much better than Snow. Have you tried the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in N4? I recently got it as a replacement for my NW10 and it looks loads better. I hate having to choose between a pink or yellow undertone when I have neither.
I didn't either! I just found out yesterday and I was so surprised I was never offered it before and that that shade actually made it to Argentina when the lightest one we get is 15.
I agree about Too Faced swatching dark. It makes finding the shade much harder. I switch between Porcelain and Snow depending on the season but telling when to change has been a challenge. Otherwise I love this foundation.
+Deidra Dupuis The formula is fantastic but the colourings are difficult! Such a struggle haha thankfully I like the way it looks on my skin but it's a lot of trial and error for people!

its so weird how snow swatches soo orange on you! especially considering how similar we are in skin tones. snow swatches slightly yellow on me, but nowhere near as dark as on you!

You say this foundation doesn't last too much past 8 hours; how does the foundation break down after that point? Has the new shade & the time since your first impression changed any of your opinions on the formula? +Randa Orpin It just fades a little, it doesn't go crazy patchy or anything, but it's not super transfer resistant (although, when set with a great powder, it'll hold up well). I feel like it looks more yellow on camera than in real life so keep that in mind :)
Thank you for making these, I always love your videos! Can I ask what foundation you would recommend for my wedding day? My skin tone is similar to yours but my skin type is more on the dry side, looking for something that lasts well (12 hours ish) without SPF, I thought I had found it with urban decay all nighter but I find it oxidises on me sometimes and don't want to take that risk! Any suggestions would be great if you don't mind ☺️💜 x

Too bad the shade "Swan" for Too Faced Born This Way foundation and the shade "Fairest" for the concealer are not available in Indonesia 😢😭. Not even in Sephora! 😢😭.
I have yellow olive undertones and TF foundations always look super peachy/orange on me. Snow is the lightest shade available in my country, I look like oompa loompa when I apply it. :/
regarding the undertones in both foundation shades, you said they aren't as yellow as you thought. does that mean that they have pink undertones? every foundation i've ever tried has been way too pink when they're said to have 'neutral' undertones so i'm a bit worried. i can't get a hold of samples so i'm a bit worried. thanks xx
+lucy k No, Swan is definitely neutral warm (so slightly yellow). I just expected it to be super yellow since Too Faced leans warm in general but it's not Simpson yellow haha Snow tends to look different on different people (yellow on some, orange on others)

I love how pale people are using KVD White Out or L1 to add to other concealers to brighten them and I'm so pale that White Out is the perfect shade for me. 😂👻

I was so disappointed with the new shades They became available here in Canada a few weeks ago so i ran out and got it right away had to take them back already. It's still too dark for me and the undertone was a tad too neutral for my very cool skin and the concealer was just way too warm. Which is sad because I love the finish of this foundation i honestly don't think I'm all that fair why is this still to dark for me?
+Tammy St. Jean It's probably the undertone that isn't working. Although, they're not the worlds palest shades as I explained - they're on par with MAC NC10 sort of level, which is pale, but not super pale like MUFE Y205 or Kat Von D L41 & L42
Hi I know this isn't to do with the born this way concealer but I was wondering If anyone can help me. I'm look at getting the tarte shape tape but I'm unsure of what colour chantilly in bars is a very nice high light for me (I also mix the white Kat Von D with the lasting perfection in the lightest shade very dark when it dryers/ oxidised ) the shade vanilla is the perfect shade for my skin, swatches next to light they look very similar any tips on what shade to get I'm not looking for a contour or highlight I'm looking for a concealer that's my skin colour A few foundation shades that fit me and don't (and why): 010 light porcelain in Rommel match perfection (pretty damn close can sometimes be too pink) N1 l'orel true match (too yellow/ orange maybe a bit dark) Revlon colour stay 110 (can sometimes be too pink but that shade paleness is great for me) Rimel BB cream 9 in 1 (very light is they perfect shade) Mac waterproof longlast (whatever it's called 😂) in NC15 is too yellow and oxidises too dark. Will be very pleased if u can help me great vid too ❤️ xx

I wasn't a fan of the Born this way foundation - more because the Snow shade didn't match my skin. I agree they swatch different then when you actually apply.

I have neglected my BTW in snow, in summer it's an absolute stretch I think I'm too neutral for it. I have to mix it with a white mixer even then and I'm lazy. I more or less use make up forever daily now. Nice to see the Too Face expanding I think they are going the other way too which is great for deeper skin tones.
Yes, I think their darker colours are actually better catered for now than the very pale end!

I'm definitely more neutral, though maybe I lean warm because I can make siberia work for me. I've got snow and also think it's quite yellow toned, it's slightly too dark so once it's finished I'll purchase swan. Also I put the hourglass mineral veil primer underneath on just my t-zone and blot throughout the day as that's where it wears off. With that it will last around 9 hours. I find this much better as a winter foundation when I'm not battling the extreme humidity of the Australian summer.

Is swan more yellow than snow? I'm cool toned but have been able to pull off snow, HOWEVER, it is a tad dark for me. I'd like to get swan for the fact that it is lighter, but if it's more yellow I would not be able to make it work. Unfortunately I'm unable to get a sample
It is a touch more yellow sadly! I would probably stay away if you’re super cool toned! I can make it work if I wear it as a single layer but it’s not my best match x

The new shades are available at Sephora and Ulta in the states so I bought my tan shade and swan for my pale shade. I love this foundation! When I have no fake tan on I am very, very fair and very neutral so I am hopeful that swan will match me with no tan.
Have you seen that tarte expanded their shade range for rainforest of the sea foundation? The palest shade porcelain is very very fair and neutral.

They swatch SOOOOOO much darker than they blend on the face! 0.5 is closest to Swan. If you’re 1.0, I would go Snow x

she definitely has fair skin but is not extremely pale by any means :-) she has stated that Kat Von D in L42 is far too light for her & even said it makes her look ghostly. L44 matched her. For me personally L44 is SUPER dark, there is no way for me to make it work. L42 works for me, & L41 is my perfect shade.
I used to think she was super pale, but after watching many videos of hers & seeing shades match her that are super duper dark on me, I think she looks paler on camera than in real life. And often her thumbnails look super pale but in the video she's much darker lol :-)
Just in terms of matching her skin to yours, see if she has reviewed a foundation you own & compare her shade to yours to figure out how close you guys are in shade :-) xo ❤️

No they really are that orange if you are quite pale. They look orange on my arm, I've gotten them from Sephora. Thankfully they don't look as orange on the face.

Have you tried the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in N4? I recently got it as a replacement for my NW10 and it looks loads better. I hate having to choose between a pink or yellow undertone when I have neither.

I agree about Too Faced swatching dark. It makes finding the shade much harder. I switch between Porcelain and Snow depending on the season but telling when to change has been a challenge. Otherwise I love this foundation.

+Randa Orpin It just fades a little, it doesn't go crazy patchy or anything, but it's not super transfer resistant (although, when set with a great powder, it'll hold up well). I feel like it looks more yellow on camera than in real life so keep that in mind :)
Thank you for making these, I always love your videos! Can I ask what foundation you would recommend for my wedding day? My skin tone is similar to yours but my skin type is more on the dry side, looking for something that lasts well (12 hours ish) without SPF, I thought I had found it with urban decay all nighter but I find it oxidises on me sometimes and don't want to take that risk! I have yellow olive undertones and TF foundations always look super peachy/orange on me. Snow is the lightest shade available in my country, I look like oompa loompa when I apply it. :/

+lucy k No, Swan is definitely neutral warm (so slightly yellow). I just expected it to be super yellow since Too Faced leans warm in general but it's not Simpson yellow haha Snow tends to look different on different people (yellow on some, orange on others)

I was so disappointed with the new shades They became available here in Canada a few weeks ago so i ran out and got it right away had to take them back already. It's still too dark for me and the undertone was a tad too neutral for my very cool skin and the concealer was just way too warm. Which is sad because I love the finish of this foundation i honestly don't think I'm all that fair why is this still to dark for me?
+Tammy St. Jean It's probably the undertone that isn't working. Although, they're not the worlds palest shades as I explained - they're on par with MAC NC10 sort of level, which is pale, but not super pale like MUFE Y205 or Kat Von D L41 & L42

Hi I know this isn't to do with the born this way concealer but I was wondering If anyone can help me. I'm look at getting the tarte shape tape but I'm unsure of what colour chantilly in bars is a very nice high light for me (I also mix the white Kat Von D with the lasting perfection in the lightest shade very dark when it dryers/ oxidised ) the shade vanilla is the perfect shade for my skin, swatches next to light they look very similar any tips on what shade to get I'm not looking for a contour or highlight I'm looking for a concealer that's my skin colour
A few foundation shades that fit me and don't (and why):
010 light porcelain in Rommel match perfection (pretty damn close can sometimes be too pink)
N1 l'orel true match (too yellow/ orange maybe a bit dark)
Revlon colour stay 110 (can sometimes be too pink but that shade paleness is great for me)
Rimel BB cream 9 in 1 (very light is they perfect shade)
Mac waterproof longlast (whatever it's called 😂) in NC15 is too yellow and oxidises too dark.
