Such a great video! Thank you for showing Pembrokeshire to the world. I live in Pembrokeshire, was born here and would never want to leave. Ignore the ignorance of the comment saying ‘the county has changed beyond recognition’ and yes poppen9026, I’m nearly 40 so I can vouch for how little it’s changed over the last 40 years. Its a beautiful place to holiday AND to live, and this is from someone that actually lives here, not just someone who stays in their caravan here. How many people can say they are lucky enough to have the pick of numerous beaches to take on walk on each day before work. Beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants, castles to explore, market towns to visit. It’s such a great place and more people need to visit.
Terrific video! I have backpacked all over the world & I am always amazed that some of the most beautiful places are right under our noses, here in the UK. In six weeks me & hubby are off to Pembrokeshire (staying in Haverfordwest) for a week & I can't wait! Thank for this great video!
I'd highly recommend going to skomer island if you're in Pembrokeshire. You need to book in advance but it's truly spectacular. Especially this time of year with the thousands of puffins. Great video as always Alex.
@kaz 24 June is the best as spring has reached its peak and the weather should be nice. I went in July which was very warm but lots of the young puffins had fledged out of the nests.
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed! I can't get enough of Pembrokeshire! I haven't visited Preseli Hills myself, I'll be sure to check them out next time I'm in the area!
A great video, thanks for some great ideas. Another lovely seaside town is Saundersfoot, not far from Tenby, with a great beach and a harbour to explore, parking is very expensive however if you drive and park at nearby Coppet Hall Beach the parking is much cheaper and its only a short walk through an old tunnel to Saundersfoot, the tunnel used to take miners to the cal mine beyond St Issells Church and the coal carts would then take coal back to the Harbour. Were staying in Saundersfoot now, eating breakfast and watching the waves lap on the sandy beach.
Dear Alex, I don’t understand why you don’t get many many more views for your amazing videos! BUT, I wanted to tell you that in in about 2 hours I will be in Whitby THANKS TO YOU!! I didn’t even know this little beautiful coastal town existed before watching your video and since THAT moment I told myself “ok, I need to go there!” And here I am, after two days in York I’m going to Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay and I still can’t believe it!! So THANK YOU for your beautiful and informative videos because I’m sure I will LOVE these places! And Wales are on my list as well thanks to you!! 🥰 And on this matter, would you say it is difficult to reach these places you showed in this video as a tourist without a car? The idea of driving on the other side of the road scares me a lot! 🙈 Thank you again so much, this is another of my solo travels and the most amazing thanks to your advices!
Hi Deborah, thank you! I’m really glad you’re enjoying my videos and that you’ve found them helpful. I hope you’re enjoying Whitby! It really is an amazing place with lots of iconic and unique things to do, and the surrounding areas are beautiful as well. I absolutely love Wales, especially the Pembrokeshire Coast area. On the subject of using public transport, there are buses running quite frequently throughout, but some of the lesser-known sites I mention in the video may be slightly more difficult to reach without a car. I totally understand you about driving on the other side, although if it’s any comfort, when I’m driving in Europe on the other side, it only takes around an hour before it begins to feel completely normal again! Thanks again for watching!
Loved this vlog! Really excited to go to Wales someday... I think you've been to most parts of Wales, and am curious, if you had to choose one area of Wales for your home, which area would it be? 😊 ... I thought the Lily ponds were amazing!!!
That would be a very difficult question! However, The Pembrokeshire Coast has always been one of my favourite locations in the UK, The natural scenery is so beautiful and its always such a peaceful place to be. Snowdonia is also incredible, with my love of hiking up mountains I would never get bored of the mountain views. But there are so many other parts of Wales that I would like to see more of in the future as well, its such a beautiful country!
The worst thing to do in Pembrokeshire is live there! Lack of proper jobs and first homes so schools, restaurants and community groups constantly closing. If you want a holiday in Pembrokeshire, go now before all the locals depart and there’s no shops and activities left. We’ve had a caravan there for nearly 40 years and the county has changed beyond recognition.
I love all of Wales, but the coast holds a special place in my heart.
The Pembrokeshire Coast really is a special place. As soon as I've left I can't wait to go back!
Couldn't have put it better myself

Looks stunning, reminds me of certain parts of Cornwall. A beautiful place, I will try to visit as soon as I have the time.

It will always be one of my favourite parts!

I feel at home here. Im definitely moving to st davids one day.
St David's is beautiful, I couldn't imagine how great it would be to live there, or anywhere on the Pembrokeshire Coast for that matter!
Wow looks amazing 👏
It really is!

Is the coastal path well signposted?
it is indeed, It's very lovely and relaxing to walk along! and if in doubt, keep the sea on your one side and you're all good!
any cheap farmland camp sites, peaceful and quiet? far away from towns and crowds.
