Hi Alex! Love your video on lake district and it's really helpful for my coming trip in January next year. Do you recommend any hotel/apartment and in which area for a 3 days 2 nights tour in the Lake District? Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for watching, and I'm really glad you found the video helpful! I couldn't recommend any specific hotel but anywhere around Ambleside is a great location in which you're never too far from any of the locations in this video. We have always stayed in AirBnb's because we like having a kitchen to cook some good food after a long hike! I really hope you enjoy your trip! Winter is a wonderful time to explore the Lake District!
This video was actually filmed in December last year. The Lake District is beautiful year-round, but I personally love the Lake District in the winter months as it has a completely different charm of its own. It may be much colder and darker, but its so quiet and peaceful, and the weather around the mountains is really epic!
I would say Ambleside is the perfect place, but anything surrounding that general area would be great as accommodation in Ambleside itself is likely quite expensive. But if you're staying around there, you won't have to drive more than 1 hour to get to almost any of the places mentioned in this video. Hope that helps!!
Good one mate ❤ helped a lot
Thanks so much for watching, and I'm glad to hear that!!
A hike at Ullswater is just unbelievable. The view is magnificent
I wasn't sure it if was the low winter sun, but Ullswater looked especially spectacular the day we visited
My favourite place just pulls on my heart strings
I completely understand the feeling! Even in the depths of winter it has such a serene atmosphere. Thank you for watching!
Thank you!

Could you do a video of the library- Windermere
what town/village would be a good center for visiting the District and these hikes?
