I'm sorry to the problem you faced with the electricity. Please put in mind that we are still at the beginning of attracting tourists, and as you know with every beginning some mistakes happen. I hope that problem doesn't affect your impression. Welcome to Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Hey, thanks so much for watching! 🙏 I loved AlUla and I'm confident that will be one of the best places for tourism in the world, you guys have it all. It's really impressive, so much history and the hospitality in Saudi is next level. Any issues we faced, we still had people checking on us. So I guess I was a bit "harder" on that particular place because of the cost but honestly it was a beautiful experience and I'd love to come back at some point to see all the great progress! 🇸🇦
Thank you very much Andrew! 🙏 I've recently filmed 20-25 videos across many countries so a lot coming up, so definitely keeping up and thanks again for your kind message! :)
welcome to saudi, regrading the airport, its a temporary airport that's why it was small. as for the hotel and the inconvenience u experienced you should have filed a complaint to the ministry of tourism either by the website or the 24 hour hotline. since al ula is relatively new there are some challenges for transportation, accommodation, and both of them are subjected to supply&demand so its expensive even for us saudis, some time you'll find the flight tickets cheaper than the accommodation so yea it's a bit expensive. if you feel you've been taken advantage of just report it's soooooooooooo easy. again welcome to the kingdom of saudiarabia
Thank you so much for watching and all the feedback! Overall we really enjoyed our time, people were very hospitable and friendly. We understand it’s still early days for AlUla so surely this will improve! 🇸🇦 🙏🏼
Nice adventure documenting the beautiful nature of the desert and overcoming the current challenges to see it for anyone who wants to currently visit! Things will improve over time as the demand increases for the location and the sights there as they learn to cater to the types of travers who visit. Nice storytelling with the mix of beautiful footage and insights :)
Thank you so much Abhi, I'm always curious to hear what you think! :) This will definitely be one of those hot spots for tourism in the next 5 years, they truly have it all! 🙏
I want to make some things clear, such as Uber and Careem, their prices are very high for us, even we are Saudis, so I hope you understand that and realize that they are not taking advantage of you, as this is a crime for us. Even if you come across someone who takes advantage of you, do not hesitate to ask for help from any Saudi person, because we do not like those who take advantage of others, you are our guest and it is our duty in our Islamic religion to take care of you. And to make sure that you are fine and do not be ashamed. This is your second country, and we are your second family, and we welcome you among us.
Thank you so much for watching and for all the information! Sorry I just meant to say that some private drivers were significantly more expensive than Uber/Careem, but no one took advantage. We enjoyed very much Saudi Arabia and AlUla was definitely a stunning place! Your hospitality is incredible and we felt very happy there. 🇸🇦 😊
Great advice on the taxis. You guys are all about that helicopter life now. Sorry about your unexpected night and dinner, but looks like you made the best of things. What a country!
Thank you guys! Yes the heli 🚁 has been super cool, particularly when my drone is not allowed haha 🤪 One of those countries to visit multiple times for sure! By the way, I'm closely following your adventures in India, so excited about it! :)
Hey Ale!! I love your videos. I have wanted to travel abroad for years and am finally starting to be able to. But I want to travel off the beaten path and out in the countryside and hang out with the locals for a few weeks. So I appreciate your videos that do that 😊
Hey Andrew, thank you so much! So happy you can now start to travel and particularly off the beaten path locations! There will be one more episode on Saudi Arabia and after that a lot of stuff coming up in places like Jordan, Yemen, Iraq... and some "misunderstood" locations! :)
What a documentary! Whenever I feel like reliving that experience, I ll come back to this video. Amazing editing and what a story teller you are becoming!👏🙌🪄
I found your channel by chance, sorry for what happened to you in alula is it a surreal place to be there are more adventures and places to visit there is it all about nature wish if visited more places maybe next time and btw the editing is amazing
Regarding prices, well, I don't think that they "overcharged" you, Saudi isn't cheap country, it isn't Egypt for example, this is the regular prices for everybody, even for locals
Thank you so much for watching and your feedback! Sorry I just meant to say that some private drivers were significantly more expensive than Uber/Careem so that's why we felt "overcharged" sometimes but we also understand Saudi isn't a cheap country so we totally agree with you in that sense too! 🇸🇦 We just got the feeling that Al-Ula because it was a "new" tourist destination, there are still areas to improve to make it the best place to visit. 🙏 Every place we visited so far in Saudi we had a great experience and people's hospitality was incredible, so thanks again! 😊
The best thing you should do is renting a car, it's way cheaper than having a driver or getting Uber, parking are free, fuel is cheap. For small car you may pay 75 SAR daily rent, full fuel tank 80 SAR will be enough for one week.
