    I just picked this up today and finished using it; was surprised, much more powerful than I thought it would be based on TH-cam comments. Lightweight, relatively quiet hum, uses the batteries I already have, no maintenance required or stink in confined spaces and corners. Happy camper

    Got mine today, works WAY BETTER than I imagined! Blows ANYTHING I would need it for (leaves, blowing water off Harley/cars, etc) and at a high fast rate of speed!

    I have the old model and it is my favorite Milwaukee power tool. I aslo have the ego 650 and still like the Milwaukee better because of way faster ramp time and lighter weight. For normal mowing the lawn i found i dont need the bigger higher cfm ego. This new model being quiter fixes the one problem i dont like about the older model. Will definitely get it once my old stops working.

    This new Milwaukee blower looks promising! Just ordered one from Acme Tool using your link and looking forward to doing our own testing. You need a STUBBY nozzle for drying off that truck. ;)

    Whats crazy is the ridgid and ryobi versions, which have identical specs, are also near identical in price. TTI sometimes has notable differences between their brand's, but this one was a huge cop/paste job. The ridgid and ryobi even have the same plastic housing, just different colors and batteries

    I've had the blower and trimmer for about six years, and purchased both of them as 'End Of Season' display models for $99 each ...Canadian, so that's about two bucks USD, and I've been very pleased with both of these units. I don't think this is enough of an improvement to "upgrade", although maybe in a few years I'll look for them at the end of season.

    Whatever leaf blower you get doesn't matter if you have makita tools then you get Makita, if you have Milwaukee then you get Milwaukee simple enough. I do like the new design though wife just got one for us and I took it out of the box like holy 😅 what dod you buy lol, also got a killer deal with 2 M18 xc6.0 batteries

    You mention that it’s not a big difference in power (50cfm) but from an eye test can you see a difference at all? Use case for me is blowing small section of driveway in front of garage during the fall, the faster I can get it done the better!

    Since Home Depot sells this model with 2 of the 6A HO batteries, I wonder if it makes sense to insert one of the 6A batteries into the blower and then Velcro the second one onto it. In that way, you can add weight to the back of the blower to help with the ergonomics (similar to your using the 12A battery for ergonomics). Also, you would have the spare battery available for switching in-the-field when the first one dies.

  • @GillBarlow-g6u

    I like the blower but if overheats the 5.0 xc M18 batteries and stops the tool at about 50% battery life. It takes too long for the battery to cool enough to run again. What gives with Milwaukee bundling this blower with the 5.0 sc M18 batteries? Milwaukee does not seem willing to help solve this.

    I find I require 600-650 CFM minimum. The efficiency of moving debris drastically falls off under the 600 level, and I end up chasing debris with the end of the tube. But for small jobs, that noise is a winner. And the trigger system does look perfect.

    • @Walkop
      @Walkop 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      CFM and windspeed both important. The Dual Battery Blower is only a bit more CFM, but the extra 20MPH is very, very noticable. The power difference feels crazy in the real world.

  • @bige7322
    @bige7322 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Does this have a trigger lock? Sorry if you mentioned that, and I missed it. You mentioned the simplicity of the controls, so I assume there is no lock.

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both are similar. To me it comes down to what you use the blower for. Do you want to disconnect an attachment and connect the blower for each small job or each time you want to use it? I use my blower too often.

    i have use them all from milwaukee single to dual batteries and both yellow
    i have to say i love ego 765 cfm the best, much quieter and more control, the dial switch just get knock on easily or else very refine and a lot of power without using the turbo button
    Milwaukee dual batteries is the worse, the switch is not refine at all
    got to try this new one to see how quiet like Brian said
    yellow doesn’t move much
    i use it to blow water off driveway to test them

      I disagree. I own a Stihl BR800X. In fact you can see the review on this channel. BUT, I never use my backpack blower to blow out our show or dust off the tractors after working. The battery operated blowers are perfect for that and are much easier to get in just the right place. I also own a Stihl BG86 gas blower and I still use the battery blowers at work.
