I believe I will. I already have the M18 single battery version, and it does everything I have ever asked it to do. The only drawback is that these OPE tools are power hungry. Well, the String Trimmer and Blower are. My Hedge Trimmer seems to be a lot less hungry. My only thought is that I don't want to buy the DB version and then Milwaukee releases a PRO-OPE MX line. But then again, I'm not doing a crap ton of yard work with my current blower. Meh, I'm sure I'll be buying the DB version anyway. More Power and longer run time is never a bad thing.
@@jmackinjersey1 I have Milwaukee and Makita tools. Blowers I have only Makita brand and I was more satisfied with dual battery, even is heavier. Blower takes lot of juice and creates lot of heat inside battery. Having dual battery you getting little more power much much more surface to displace heat so you can go longer on full throttle without overheating batteries. I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
Hi Mark. I liked the video comparison. I have the single battery Milwaukee blower and it does the job for me. My daughter loves using it also. I will try it out this winter removing light snow off my truck. Keep up the great videos.
The difference between the Turtle and Rabbit is simply that the Rabbit allows you to get full throttle/performance out of the tool and the Turtle is throttling or limiting the tool to perform at half of the trigger pull on the Rabbit mode. It's the same as the string trimmer. This just makes it a lot easier to work with the tool instead of trying to constantly feather the trigger. Not really a turbo mode per se.
Hi Mark I just purchase the single battery blower and it works great after using. I when ahead and turn it back in for the Dual battery I like the power in it more especially when your using it and turf. They are both great it all depend what you really want. Like your video
I still think it's way too high of a price compared to better options outside. The thing that always bothered me most about the single battery blower was the noise, it's quite loud and higher pitched, after using it for over a year I'm bothered by it. The Makita blower has a much more "comfortable" sound, same with the Ego blowers. And price wise, I can get a more powerful and lower noised blower for about the same price, and it comes with a battery. End of day, my opinion, this dual battery is unnecessary. And whenever you need a second handle for a blower, it's too heavy. But appreciate your review!
I appreciate your feedback. I've tried other brands, but not the 2 you mentioned. I'll have to check them out sometime just to hear them, because I know the sound you're referring to.
Factor in that you'll need 2 M18 HO batteries to power the thing, this is one pricey toy. Those batteries are not cheap. This is absolutely built for professionals who can dump money into buying batteries and make money from their purchase. Otherwise not practical for your average home use
@@doom3380 definitely not for a homeowner. But you’d think as a business owner you’d go for a blower of more value. I just tried the 80V greenworks 730cfm model at Costco for $229, I bet it would beat this no problem. I also found it to have way better throttle control than the Milwaukee.
That new tip should work good on leaves and snow. I like to use the leaf blower to remove dry snow even if it's 2 to 3 in thick. It seems to blow right off. But if it's wet only maybe half to 1 in thick will blow off. I like to use two leaf blowers , one to get under the snow and the other day to blow it off the sidewalk.
some air volume is lost with the nozzles on the end of it....the torque test channel did a review on it and showed alot of cfm's were lost with the restriction but overall its still a powerful unit.
I was just starting to make my video when I noticed they made a video on it. I didn't watch their video yet because I didn't want to be swayed with their testing numbers. I will go watch it now, sounds interesting. Thanks.
Also, will the two nozzle attachments fit on the older model? If not, do you think that the exit tube(?) on the new model will fit on the older model? Oh, and does the new one have trigger lock? I like to use that on mine at the end of the day or if I have a lot of debris on me, or just want to cool off a bit. I lock the trigger in the on position and place the blower on the ground and point it towards me to clean off or cool down.
The tubes are a slightly different design, so they won't lock in if you try and switch them either way. The dual battery has a speed control setting (cruise control) in place of a trigger lock. It works very well.
Hey Milwaukee I just bought this blower even though I have an Ego 765 cfm model. And I'm not really happy with this expensive 2824-20 model. you could have done way better. This thing vibrates like crazy compared to the Ego. My Ego 765 blows 2x4 20" blocks of wood like leaves . The Milwaukee 2824-20 has mediocre power and my hand still feels the vibration as I'm typing this. You need to make a 800 to 1000 cfm blower. In mx or 36v and work on te vibration. If eggo can do it you can too.
I’ve got the regular one and I’ve always been pretty impressed with it. Just as much if not more power than a gas equivalent. I’ve always been fine with the trade off of instant power vs sustained but needs warming up (of a gas one). For little stuff like blowing off the patio it’s great, would never touch a backpack gas blower for heavy use tho Is this one really worth buying? I was thinking about getting one after the one I have poops out but it’s been a beast so who knows when that will happen.
I like this one and recommend it. One thing that I didn't mention in my video is the air intake is in a good location. My favorite gas unit has the air intake on the side and if you're wearing loose clothing, it will get sucked to the intake, making you forced to use your other hand. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
Hello Mark Thomas! You know I have joked with you before, about ‘Milwaukee,’ but in truth I own some M18 stuff, especially batteries. I do own the same M18 Fuel Gen 2 blower, as in your video. I have used that blower a lot. I mainly use it to clear off the long drive down to my house. It is a gravel driveway, and the blower does an admirable job moving the leaves, and pine needles, etc. I started out using the 9.0 High demand batteries, and they did alright, but once the battery was down a couple of bars, the power noticeably faded. Then I bought an 8.0 High Output battery, and I timed it one time, and got right around 25 or so minutes, with a bar remaining. { this is in ‘rabbit’ mode exclusively. } I talked with a Milwaukee Rep, and he acted excited, and said I should get about a half hour, maybe more. Well, I think it was a ‘fluke,’ as the battery ran down to one bar next time out, and when I took it our, it was very warm, and was flashing one bar. It never seemed to run well after that? I exchanged the battery. That’s what I get for buying a battery straight out, ( NO sale/promo ) which I always advise everybody NOT to do! I digress… I picked up a great deal which involved a 12.0 HD battery, and it stays exclusively in the blower. Most I have ever gotten is 28 minutes, ( in Rabbit mode ) which just gives me enough time time to clear 99% of the driveway. I think the blower has an issue, and I may try to e-service it, if it is still in warranty? SO….I am shopping for another blower, when I saw my ‘buddy’ Mark Thomas with this video! Your video did a really good job showcasing the blower’s abilities, Mark. I might suggest this Fall, doing a side by side Comparo, between the two of them, with leaves? To wrap up this long winded comment, I like the battery indicator lights up front, and the variable speed might be workable, but I think I will PASS on this blower. For about the same price, maybe a little more, you can get similar deals on other brands, which include a battery/battery’s, and a charger. And, their performance is better! Got the single today. I want a reducer fitting for tool itself or the pipe that goes down to 3/4 inch for a very specific application l. Ac drains lol 😆
There's a guy who makes stubby nozzles for blowers like this. It's mostly for car detailing purposes. If you know how to 3D print, you could possibly make something that reduces to 3/4.

I'm hoping to get some Makita battery equipment in 2023 to test out. I don't recall hearing anything specific about the Makita version. The dual battery M18 battery works well. I have a couple 8Ah high output batteries that I normally use, but sometimes I go with the 12Ah.
Excellent videos
Thanks, I appreciate it!
The wait finally end ..i wait this dual blower very long after makita launch their 36v blower..look pretty powerfull than my single battery m18 blower
Yes, the dual battery is my recommendation. The single battery is good for clearing sawdust inside the garage.
@MarkThomasBuilder I bought it lol now I gotto reduce alot less lol thanks
Thanks Mark.
In my list of Videos to watch put up by you Tube, below your video playing, at the very top was the same test by the torque test Channel LOL
Mike M.
Haha, yeah I want to go watch theirs now. I held off on watching it while making my video.
I think if you would have put the 12 amp hour battery in the old one it would’ve done just as good if not better..
To save you 9 minutes of your time: Run time is described only on the duel battery at around 8 minutes.
The tests are only conducted on maximum acceleration.
I’m an electrician so I’m so confused by the trash can thingy lol
I was in the market for a new blower decided to buy the Milwaukee 18 fuel to battery blower. my ex left Milwaukee batteries behind and I was under the impression that they would work. looks like I have to now go and spend money for big batteries or maybe I should just take back the blower and get the ego that everyone is talking about.
I haven't tried the Ego one yet, but heard good things about it. I use this M18 one all the time and love it.
Too Heavy to carry the Extra 2 lbs for 20 minutes
✌✌
Sprinkle the leaves on the grass and see if you can blow them out of the grass
Nice one sir
Thanks Batang 😀🙌
See for me, its more about how big of a leaf pile it can push.
That's where you may want to compare the newton force numbers for deciding you next leaf blower.
Get rhe single and have a battery continuously charging! Less weight and you don't have to stop and wait, love cordless tools besides heat guns 😂 lol
$948 CAD for the dual battery trimmer🤢🤮. I wonder how much this thing will cost.
Holy cow ...I'm researching leaf blower to dry off my new dog also AND HIS NAME IS OAKLEY ALSO...so random
Haha, that's awesome! Oakley loves when I'm outside using the blower and fluffing up his fur. 🙌😂. My other dog Leo runs away from it.
Go big or go home
Haha, 100% 🙌
Doggo
🐾😁👍
