I watch TOO many travel vids. I'm really interested in Bahamas and Caribbean. Your video was really excellent, interesting, well paced, and terrific production quality. Seriously, on of the best I've seen. Please make more!
One of the best food review videos I've seen so far for the bahamas. I like how you show where things are on the map so that I can know what area things are in when I visit!
I'm a 🇧🇸 native and I completely agree.. I thought the sky view of the map was VERY smart and thoughtful. I also loved hearing the attention to detail in your pronunciations as well. This is definitely 10/10 for me amidst other review videos I've seen. Job well done ❤❤
Excellent review! Next time I suggest you try Bahamian ‘cracked’ conch. It’s tenderized conch meat battered and deep fried. Probably the most popular way to eat conch. Typically served as a snack with French fries but many people also get it as a ‘dinner’ served with peas n rice 😉, coleslaw and macaroni or fried plantains. There are so many other authentic Bahamian desserts and dishes to try! For desserts try ice creams made with native fruits - soursop in particular if you can find it. In addition to the conch chowder, some other soups to try are peas soup and dough, crab soup, and souse (broth seasoned with salt, limes and pepper) in various forms (chicken, pigs feet and my fav - sheep’s tongue) and ‘boil’ fish (same broth but with grouper fish) all served with Johnny cake. 😋
'Cracked’ conch is really good! It's actually the first meal I ate when we landed, but I was so hungry I didn't get it on camera LOL - And WOW sounds like there is so much more food for me to try! Can't wait to go back. Thanks for sharing 😊
Two corrections, the conch chowder is an original Bahamian recipe that the Greek restaurant took and used on their menu. It's Bahamian. And we say peas and rice not rice and peas. Conch is a large mollusk. The more you go the more you'll learn. Welcome to the Bahamas!
Super helpful video. I’m hoping to do a cruise , so I will not be able to visit all of the places shown but everything looks amazing! Thanks for sharing
Places like Senor Frogs, Bahamian Cookin and Athena Cafe are all walking distance from the cruise port! I also mention a few other locations near the cruise port in the video, but not all of the places that I visited are walking distance. Like if you want to go to the Fish Fry, you will need to take a short cab ride.

Hiiii it's peas and rice that's what we call it here in the Bahamas ❤
Ok, now I know for next time - Thanks for the tip!

So glad you enjoyed the video! What restaurant or food are you the most excited to try? 🤩
I'm looking forward to the jerk chicken and macaroni and cheese 🧀 Great video. Lots of wonderful information.
@TheGratefulNess856 Thank you! - I really enjoyed the jerk chicken and mac, I hope you enjoy it too! 😊
Are these places located close to ship port

I’m driving here not cruising on a boat
Nice! With a car it might be easier to visit multiple restaurants. Do you know where you want to eat?
That's not the traditional shape of guava duff...it should be round slices with swirls of the guava fruit.
Good to know - Thanks! We will look for the round one next time.
Light rum is 40 and below proof heavy is 60 to 150 proof in the Bahamas we don't water down our rum real things
Yes, the Bahamas has great rum!
Please ours is called peas.n. rice not rice and peas that's Jamaican.
Pls get in right.
Ok, thank you!
