Rather than giving you a extendable screen this device gives you two phones, it's a multitasking machine. in my opinion, perfect device to dip your toes in the fordable device scene.

@@NinrevoMixes I got the G8X dual screen today. It works with the dual screen 'case' on and with the adapter only with the charging sign facing the front. I guess it's directional somehow despite being USB C. I read this on reddit so I knew to try it both ways. Hope that helps.

@Exxtra I had the 2 batteries as well. That thing lasted me a long time. I was really dissapointed when I seen LG V30 didnt have removable battery. The G4s cameras were also dope! (Except the video) then the V30 video was awesome... But the cameras took a hit. Now with the V60... Im just taking it all in 😅😂

Not really. You can do basically everything on the second screen or turn it into one screen for web browsing. There's a ton of other features too that aren't even mentioned here. You can use one side like a keyboard and so much more

For a long time, I believe, separate screens rather than one continuous screen, will provide the most durability and reliability on a foldable. Therefore, the race will be to make the smallest possible gap or bezel between the two screens.

Well, this is a lot different smartphone than a foldable one and a lot more affordable as well. The LG G8X ThinQ smartphone has all the features which could make it the best for multitasking and I am surprised that it can handle two heavy tasks simultaneously without a lag. LG is amazing and so is this smartphone.

A dual screen, 4000mAh, no compromise phone with a small notch for 700$? I'll just sit right here and order my new phone now
I have this phone. Having the option to add/remove the second screen is a huge plus. Also, you get the scratch resistance of whatever glass they use, as opposed to folding screens the dent/scratch easily..
And the top and sides get wear marks from the constant adding and removing
And the back camera gets scratches because in addition to having it BEHIND the phone's back glass they also for some reason decided to have a giant window cutout in the phone's case

In playstore, we have a free app called as widemode for LG.. Using that we can open any app in wide dual screen mode. after installing we will get an icon in the quick settings panel (if it is not visible, u can to drag and drop the icon from the list) .. by clicking that u can convert any opened app in dual mode. Hope it helps

1:50 it wasnt to "catch up" with any trend. We love or back power button and it works SOOO much better then the optical on screen. Im assuming it was because when you have the 2nd screen attached the back is covered even if there was a hole created in the back, unlocking would be cumbersome as youd have to unfold it to access it.

I think foldables can be a great step forward in the evolution of smart devices. Maybe not in their current state, but with enough thought and refinement, they can be great and reach their true potential. They seem that they can become a bridge between a smartphone and laptop, possibly becoming a product that can truly be an all-in-one device.

I wish other companies would add this to existing models. Imagine adding a dual screen case to your S20? if that option was available as an add on for $200 it would sell like crazy. I guess it would cost more though with those displays. And refresh rate would kill battery with dual screen. Maybe it could reduce refresh rates to 60 to compensate.
Anyway, I like this approach because you can decide to use a single screen phone without weight of second screen anytime you want. The option does not exist elsewhere

Well, the case on my G8x finally broke after 4 years. One of the screws on the bottom hinge fell out.
