Next week we will featured rapper Rich Homie Quan, who died yesterday in Atlanta at the age of 33. We received news of his death after our production deadline for this week's video.
Also, musician Sergio Mendes passed away at the age of 83. Mendes and his band, Brasil '66, had hits like The Fool On The Hill and Never Gonna Let You Go.

R.I.P. James Darren. “The Time Tunnel “ was my weekly history lesson. I loved it.
I just found out about his death from seeing his picture on this thumbnail. Somehow, I doubt I should be so surprised.
I liked James Darren in "Time Tunnel", "Star Trek" and "T.J. Hooker". I guess I guess I'm too young to remember the original "Gidget"; I only remember Sally Field. I think the writer Silberman mentioned Stills (of Crosby, Stills, &Nash) had a son with autism. Delores O'Riodran had such a beautiful voice and so did Sinead O'Connor.

It's nice isn't it! It's strange how some content creators can't be bothered to learn the pronunciation of words. I listened to a crime docu and the host mispronounced Duluth the entire show! Duluth!
James Darren was a big loss but he had a good life. Married close to 5 decades, no scandals or bad ever said about him. When he auditioned for Gidget he had never sang before. I never missed a Gidget movie or the tv series but it wasn't the same when James and Sandra were replaced. I also never missed the beach movies with Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon.
He was a wonderful actor and man . I loved him as Moondoggy . He will be missed. ❤😢
In the late 1960's James Darren was on a ABC TV series called The Time Tunnel. A great Actor.

Thank you for that. Christina Irimie, one of the teachers who died in the Georgia shooting, was one of my daughter's teachers. She just spoke to that teacher last week. We are numb.

I saw James Darren in concert during off filming seasons of T.J. Hooker. It was a great show. RIP James.
RIP James Darren. Remember him first on Time Tunnel where his character Tony traveled back in time to Pearl Harbor but couldn't save his father from the Japanese bombing. Robert Colbert played his partner in the show and is still alive as far as I know.

Yep it was another one of the rules he was in he was in a lot of different little rolls but I will always fondly remember him as Vic Fontaine because he brought certain music really to life at a time when things seem at they're darkest for me.

Sergio Mendez of the band Brazil 66 died today at the age of 83. Famous for many songs during the 1960’s and 70’s.
He and the vocalists were wonderful. Herb Alpert is married to Lannie Hall, one of Sergio’s singers. Thank you to Sergio. 🕊

I was and still am a Parrott Head. Jimmy Buffets passing last year hurt me greatly, it's like a way of life passed not just a man. It's really seems like yesterday that my youngest son came in the room very nervous and sadly told me he passed, he knew how much Jimmy meant to me. Since then my son joined the Navy and I miss my boy so much.
Yes. I can't believe it's already been a year since Jimmy Buffet's passing.

RIP Betty Bridges, I just read the book authored by Todd Bridges, and how she fought for him all of his life. Through the bad and good. She was a very strong woman. God Rest her Soul⭐️⭐️
RIP Paul Harrell, a man who professed safety and common sense in the gun community.
Amen brother. We lost James Yeager then Paul. Two men who contributed so much to the 2nd Amendment cause and promoted safety, common sense and responsibility. Paul especially. I learned more from those two than 20 other "gunguys" combines.
RIP James Darren. He was my first celebrity crush at 11 years old.
Although I knew who he was and I appreciated how attractive he was, he was older than my parents. What's funny is how I had a crush on Jim Monet and marveled at the resemblance long before I knew Jim was James' son.

I'm sorry to hear that James Darren died last month.
I'm still pissed that my local-The Marietta Journal-(in Ga.) paper didn't even mention David McCallum on his birthday or when he died. I first heard about him when my dad had me watching him in "A Night to Remember" and many other films and tv shows, including Illya Kuryakin in the "MFU", etc. before he played Dr. Ducky Mallard on "NCIS".
I'm going to miss James Darren he was a great actor and I liked him in TJ Hooker and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 😢😢😢

You are all blessed to have decent mothers. I have no grief with the passing of my narcissistic mother
I am in the same boat. I discovered last year some horrible things about my mother and learned that she is a Covert Narcissist. I have gone no contact with her. Even though I know the only person she has to answer to is God, but she has done so many horrible, horrible things I don’t want to be around her. The deceit, and hurtful things she has done just sickens me. She had five chldren; three are deceased and two have no contact with her. So she has no children in her life.
Goodbye Cruel World has a different meaning now. RIP James Darren. I remember him as Jimmy Darren when I was a kid. He was hott on TJ Hooker. I feel so old as childhood heroes die.

Loved him as Vic Fontaine in DS9. Some of the best episodes in the series. I like how the character portrayed empathy to his patrons as well as being a good singer who brought many jazz/swing songs back to life. Must watch DS9 again. James Darren leaves us with sadness but also a smile on our faces too which I'm sure he would have wanted.

My brother died of pancreatic cancer and it seems so many people also died of it. Scary.

In your mention of Burt Reynolds and a few of the movies he starred in, one of my favorites; that ironically no one speaks on is "Best Friends". It's a comedy/romance with Goldie Hawn, Jessica Tandy and others. A must see for those who perhaps, never heard of it before.

So sorry for your mom and you 🙏🏻❤ you have my deepest condolences! I lost my dad 20 years ago to liver failure and mom 4 years ago to a heart attack. So sad our parents had to suffer but not anymore. Still missing them never goes away 😢

I watched a video on utube that came to me Of the Nine things people see, in Death (Biblical) by Bible stories. It’s profound and put together with info of those that had near death, experiences. Rest assured, that both were with you after they left their bodies, and other facts. Listen and watch for signs they are visiting you. I recommend that utube, and it brought me much peace, learning of all one does on the journey back home to God, and more ; relief from all the days have break downs, of my loss .

I loved James Darren on Star Trek DS9 , he was great as Vic and he did so much for the crew during the Dominion War. It was kind of like what the USO does for our troops in the real world.
Like some of these other folks I remember James Darren in Time Tunnel. That show wasn't on that long but it made a real impression on me and it looks like a lot of others also.

I watch your videos every week, and it always reminds of a poem my grandmother had a copy of on her wall. Pete Seeger made it famous, but its original author is debated. This is the relevant part. “I get up each morning, gather my wits, pick up the paper and read the obits. If I’m not there, I know I’m not dead, so I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed.” Bless all who mourn, and may we all have a good breakfast every day for a long time to come.
Darren was part of the big three(Merriweather, Colbert), I believe, of the only show from the 60's, with three adult stars still alive. Loved the Time Tunnel.

Obi Ndefo's sister Nkem released a statement that her brother died of the eating disorder orthorexia. “Obi Ndefo passed away early Wednesday morning in a Los Angeles area hospital. Tragically, Obi’s heart gave out in his longstanding battle against the eating disorder orthorexia,” Nkem Ndefo wrote. “As his family, we share this news to bring attention to orthorexia’s severity and in the hopes that those suffering from this devastating disease receive the compassionate care they deserve,” she wrote.
I had not even heard of this disorder before. Orthorexia is an unhealthy focus on eating in a healthy way. Eating nutritious food is good, but if you have orthorexia, you obsess about it to a degree that can damage your overall well-being.

Paul Harrell, was an inspirational, serious expert on all things firearms. He taught me, and a lot of others just how to handle and use firearms safely, and which firearms were effective, and what kinds of mistakes we could make. Real World comparisons of different ammunition, handguns, rifles, shotguns and what the capabilities of each were. As serious as he was, he was also self-effacing, and many times pretty funny. If you want to learn just what kind of shell you should use for home defense in your shotgun- go watch his videos. A great loss to the 2A community.

James Darren was in one of my favorite movies: The Guns of Navarone. Good looking and a fine singer.

The first time I saw James Darren was in that WW2 movie The Guns of Naverone. He was the most attractive actor in the movie; even more than Gregory Peck and Anthony Quinn.
I live in Chicago. Thank you for mentioning the 4 people killed on one of our rapid transit trains. They do have the man who did it in custody.
