A Bug Hunting Fish. Meet the Water Mantis!

The water mantis, or Mizu Kamagiri 水蟷螂, is a fierce predator insect often found in the irrigation water of rice fields in Western Japan. In the West it is known under its latin name, Ranatra linearis, or Ranatra sinensis. Especially, north of Hiroshima City deep in the mountains Ranatra can be observed often. Witness how this creatures hunts and eats fish fry.
