I do it here in Rochester, MN. Even though I’m kinda jealous that theirs has a Walgreens and Target. One thing I wish Rochester would adopt from the MPLS skyway system is the signs that tell you what street you’re crossing.
The skyway is why we're moving to Minneapolis. It's SUCH a valuable feature. Not to mention I'm trans and Minnesota is an amazingly safe state, but the skyway
Very comprehensive tour of the skyways. I worked downtown for 20 years from ‘92 to 2011 and loved it. While I like all the growth that’s happened on the edges of downtown (North Loop, Mill District, East Town and Old Town/East Hennepin, it’s sad to see how quiet the downtown core has become. I realize this is 2021, hopefully it’s better now, but it’ll take a long time for retail to return, if it ever does.
The Nicollet Dine area has gotten super sketchy. I know I lived in on 18th and Nicollet. There are shootings in that neighborhood all of the time. Yes, the public transportation is great in Minneapolis and only getting better.
I'm seriously considering relocating to the twin cities from Seattle. It's become incredibly expensive to live here and crime is out of control. Too many shootings going on.
Never knew this Existed. I moved out here from Denver two years ago. I am originally from Philadelphia. Still trying to learn things about the Twin Cities. When I first moved out here all I heard was people talk about MOA. Malls aren't as popular as they once were when I was growing up in the 80s&90s. But seeing this video is cool. I don't plan on living here too much longer as the Cold weather is just to much for me. But I will check this out.
Only knew that the Skyway connected the city from watching Sheriff Bob Fletcher and Live on Patrol but didn't know it was as extensive as what it is. Living in England I don't expect I'll be able to see it in person - a bit like Chicago's L it's been added to 'that' list. Great video.
soryguys but calgary has the biggest and the one in calgary is growing in huge strides. downtown calgary build skyscrapers like most cities build 7/11 stores. i kid i kid . each tower includeds usually 4 new plus 15 skyway bridges giant indoor tropical park state of the art shoping center which includes the longest continuous glass celing in the world,. the place is packed for many events such as Christmas paradeds and other simular events lrt stations are numerous along the transit rought and the upcoming subway system, which is largely compleated, will only make it more exsesable. i love the system and also i would enjoy visiting your fine city some day.
Worlds biggest you say? Damn I guess my search is over. I became homeless in Minnesota. Walked threw there a few times. But shhhhh don't tell the rich folk that is mad for seeing me. I used to be a firefighter that hurt myself on the job and was forgotten about by the government. Heroes don't always have a good ending.
Thank Sheesh for your comments. I have been using Skyway in Minneapolis for 10 years not encountered any crime. Skyway hours M-F 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. (pre-covid it used open till 10 PM) Sat 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sun Noon - 6 p.m.
I would always walk the skyways on a cold or rainy day, just for the exercise.
Me Too :) - Thanks prschuster for your comments!!

Does Dayton's still have a restaurant? That was in 1998, but the food was delicious. And if I remember it was white tablecloths.
Thank MrRibby88 for your Comment. Dayton got recently renovated and restaurant are yet to be opened re-open.

Yes temperature would be better starting next week!!
Would've preferred to hear the actual surroundings not the music.
Thanks Jason for your feedback.
The music didn’t last long! Keep watching!

A city with no people.
Thanks AugustusRex for your Comment. Video was immediately post-COVID which is why you don't find people.
