- In this video we take a drive through the heart of Downtown Minneapolis on a sunny day in June, 2021.
Join me as we take a drive up, down, and around several blocks of Minnesota's largest city. We start on the west side near the Basilica of St. Mary, and wind our way among the skyscrapers and skyways, winding our way to the edge of downtown along the Mississippi River.
Along the way, we'll pass the Theater District, the IDS Center, the Foshay Tower, First Avenue Nightclub, Target Center, the Warehouse District, the North Loop, The River Road, and the Hennepin Avenue Bridge.
Minneapolis is the larger of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and is the largest city in the state of Minnesota. Thanks for joining me on the drive - hope you enjoy the scenery!
lived in minneapolis for a while, now im back in europe but ur videos help me relive my time here,
thanks so much, greetings from europe
Be glad you live in europe
Europe isn't a country bruh
@@ShosinMeloticEurope is shit be happy you live in America more like we are all trying to get there
Thank you for your show I like the way you do very nice show you drive show and talk so we know where it’s i like to watch you videos thank you very much 👍👍👍
This is the best driving tour ever
Very nice tour 👍Brings back memories of a trip there some years ago.
Minneapolis made them narrow on purpose. Downtown crashes are almost nonexistent until street racing happens (mostly at night).
There is no better safety than forcing you to pay attention to everything!
Love it
Beautiful
compared to what?
For a year straight, I drove to St. Paul and Minneapolis stayed their for 5+ hours. I used to be right by Target Field / Center. I spent more time going out to Eagan and Bloomington. I picked up a pickup truck from a guy right as the pandemic started! I was on the interstate trying to leave with a motorcoach full of people during the Castille protests! I need to take a drive and look at more of the city!
Most MPLS is lad out as avenues N-S & streets N-W except downtown. It's kind of at an angle to true N due to streets originally being oriented to the river. Downtown also has a lot of one ways. The river area is stunning now.
Great video
You have great driving tours! Keep your great job! like 297 and new sub and friend here! Cheers!
COOL VIDEO.
Your drivers are very nice. Here in the Bay Area, it's a warzone. Speeding, red light running, tailgating, hit and runs, pedestrians getting hit and killed. Large Hispanic population here.
Very nice.
I live in the Metro around the Twin Cities
It is a huge metro, really
What time of day?
It was great downtown til the 90s
I've never been there. Tell please, is there a normal public tranportation in city? if you live without car, how problem is to get from living area to downtown?
Don't bother.. One must have a car..
Very doable, done it myself for years. Biking and walking is also pleasant if you budget the time for it
I am 21 and I lived in city my whole
Life which is why I don’t drive even though I want to so bad .so technically no you don’t need a car if you work and live downtown because there’s buses literally everywhere
Just subscribed
Awesome - Welcome, Keyshawn!
@@destinationtwincities thanks I'm not really new here I thought you was done making videos so I didn't sub until now
looks pretty nice... not a homeless druggy around unlike many big cities these days.
It had so much potential...
Thank you for the video. I was in Minneapolis back at the end of August as one a few cities I’m looking to relocate to. I got to see and do a few things in the city and the nearby outskirts, even went to St Paul for a moment, though there we’re still many things I did not get to do. I’m looking forward to visiting soon again to explore more of the Twin Cities area.
Did you end up relocating to msp? If so how do you like it?
Is the downtown area dangerous at night?
No one is downtown at night unless there is Vikings or twins Game, and maybe a concert, As a Native Minnesotan I can Say that Minneapolis is the Least Minnesotan place in the state, even before the George Floyd riots and the decision by the city council to gut the already undersized and underfunded MPD, It was just another generic downtown full of all the Same stores and restaurants you might see at any other downtown, Losing Dayton's I think was a big blow to Minneapolis as a unique city. Now its just an overpriced unsafe city full of transplants and yuppies who wish they could live in New York... and its more expensive than Chicago now.
Big city, big problems..
Never felt threatened as a woman. The area by the river… by Kellogg - that was concerning but only drugs and mental illness. Not dangerous.
@@lesliejaggers2275 Your a fool and can only imagine what will be going through your head when your attacked.
I’ve worked and lived downtown for years and went out plenty and there was never an issue, nor did I hear of someone else having an issue with violence. There was the occasional homeless person acting up but not violently. I never felt threatened. It’s more of a on drugs problem then violence. But it’s not an every day or every week thing. It’s completely different than other major cities downtowns I’ve been in. We were in Chicago for work and got chased by a guy with hammer for no reason at all, we later found out he was doing it to others for hours but the police didn’t care because he didn’t hit anyone yet. It was wild. Never experienced anything close to that in Mpls
The same is true for Cambodia. Not many tourists
Таза, жарық, әдемі шахар екен. Қандай жұмыс орындары бар?
is this from a game? doesn't look real
The photo on the thumbnail is just a screenshot from the video. It has been enhanced a little with color saturation and contrast, but it is an actual image of Minneapolis.
I move out of minneapolis
Dont forgot about the thing
Mineapol extra .super big. Window towers.🌃🎊🌃🎒🎍🎒
OMG! So much mayhem and destruction.
There are almost no pedestrians
The city is dead, this is the result of liberal ideology.
He probably recorded this on a weekday... People are working
@@MegaGraceiscool the bruvs aren’t working
No one goes there anymore, including me.
Old city
You left out the best part. Now that the cops are gone Minneapolis is an awesome place to do a little street racing.
As a business owner in Minneapolis, I'd expect you not to be so negative under multiple videos. Just move if you hate it so much.
@@krystaperry288 Am I disrupting your life of denial?
When did I deny the crime? lol ... loser. @@petebusch9069
I live downtown. There are cops and cameras literally everywhere.
Twin city ok need grean🎋⛪🎄🎋🎁🎋
Hey, at least they fixed the traffic problems by just getting rid of everyone.
yeah except for the hundreds of people we see in the video
@@jeanpabon2948 Which used to be thousands, you really are an idiot.
Who lives there since crime is accepted by the MN governor?
🌟50 univermag. New. All sales.🎋🎄🎋👻🎒👻
I live in Minneapolis. Is a really bad place 😕
I only hear that from really weak people!
Everyone I know that lives there loves it
You should probably leave then.
Keep searching - you'll find happiness eventually.
No I don't consider living. Tha state .Minnesota state, has so much to offer, but we have so many people that came over and destroyed .are leaders not doing nothing to protect the citizens and city.
@@skooterbuck3513you may want to consider a grammar and spelling class then!! Hard to take you serious.
Bad tour
Oh god, downtown Minneapolis is a complete dump. Boring, no energy, dangerous, and full of wayward people walking around. No thanks.
What downtown has energy in the US? You obviously haven’t travelled much. In the US it is actually one of the more vibrant, more so the certain neighborhoods surrounding the core. But it has died down a lot since covid and the suburbanites thinking it’s south side Chicago 😂
@@jnyboy28 please, Minneapolis and St Paul are boring as ever. I have travelled ALL over US and Europe. Chicago, Charleston SC, SF, Dallas, Boston and even Fort Myers have very lively downtown’s. The Twin Cities are horrible.
@@cjm38 Minneapolis is a small city always has been
@@cjm38mf said DALLAS
@@corrinedirks1601 its not a small city lol low iq
Stay out of downtown MPLS, you will get car jacked, robbed and beaten.
And for no real reason. It's looks like East Berlin before the wall fell. A dangerous dump
No matter what he says, going downtown is not safe
I work in downtown Minneapolis, should I be concerned?
I live downtown. You are so wrong 😂
You're kidding right? If the cops are always hanging out downtown, and they always have those street cleaning crews there. Literally the safest part of the city
@@MATT-qu7pl no. I feel so safe downtown. There are cops and cameras and people everywhere. The vagrants may look scary but they are mostly just addicts trying to survive and won’t bother you if you don’t bother them. No one is getting killed downtown. I would feel less safe in certain areas of north Minneapolis and the suburbs, frankly.
I just stayed in downtown for vacation and felt extremely safe.
The results of liberals is nothing short of amazing especially when you take into consideration what the city looked like in the 80's compared to today.
80s youy mean record high crime rate? LOL
@@jeanpabon2948 Does it bother you that you have to flat out lie in an attempt to make a point only to have people look at you like your a complete idiot? Who's agenda are you trying to push and why are you doing it.
Move tuneli. Bridge use horizontally tovers.🏣🗼🏣🏬🏦🏬
