    Great video…. Can you test a tender without having an engine? I recently received a postwar 326 tender in a “junk lot” and do not have any S gauge engines and would like to know if it’s working order ( I’m a 3 rail O gauge guy)

      Yes you can do a cursory test on the tender. From the transformer take a connected lead from the base post and a second lead connected to the 7-15v post. Using alligator clips, attach one lead to say the front tender axle and the second lead to the rear tender axle. Apply power and the reverse unit should turn. you will see it turn and hear it click. As for the power you can do a continuity test from the the male prongs.
