They did fight, but alas, in vain. Now forces of evil have taken the last homely home and are now free to march south and aid their other armies in conquest of the west.
After this battle the most popular eleven unit will be the sword quendi and everyone will stop using catapults as the elves
to be honest, my cata surely had something against those spearmen. It just kept missing enemy units and that was first big hit from it. It did do work of both umbar and isengard catabults which were taken out with full ammo

As you said 'MVP' this is a suggestion, after each battle you pick a 'MVP' unit and watch what that unit did throughout the battle on 2-4x speed and explain why they are MVP ect, also can we have a battle along the lines of 'elite heavy evil factions vs lots of not good friendly troops' kinda like a role reversal, hope you see this suicide boy been a fan for a long time and keep up the good work jesus

Every times Apollo says “Gundabad” it makes me laugh. I love it.
I know the elves lost but they used some good tactics at the beginning of the battle.

Gundabad is kind of stupidly OP imo. Witchers, and Hammer Guards. It doesn't make any sense--especially considering that they're fighting Elves. Personally, I'd give the Noldor back their fantastic armor and blades, make them absolute demons on the battlefield, but make them have smaller units. And make Gundabad a bit weaker. They can't have both huge Orcish numbers and Orcs that can take on the greatest of the Eldar.
Well, we could have held that brridge for longer and most likely long enough that we could have dealed with Umbar if those archers would not have killed us.
i can easily beat gundabad with any faction in the game... if you feel they are op then perhaps you lack creativity in battle.
he is probably only fighting orc bands with eldarwe units, while being on the hill with only archers

@Synn: I know perfectly well how to fight. It's just that Gundabad is unrealistically powerful for both their lore state and for balance.

I have a problem with these kind o battles nowdays. Not becuase of editing or because of you apollo. But because of the army layout. Before Reforged (and im really glad for the mod dont get me wrong) the evil side was trash (except trolls and the naz gul). they realied on numbers so you would always see 3 against 4, or 2 against 3 (and sometimes even 3 vs 5) but that was only becuase the orcs and rhun was trash. But now the troops of the "evil" side has pretty much become equal. So 3 vs 4 is not fair anymore. And i get that in this video and many others the good side is defending and therefor they have an advantage but 3 vs 4 is not fair unless the map is a big giant choke map. For example in this map there was no big chokes, and 3 ways to enter. so 3 armys has basically one each. Thats fair right? well in my opinion its not. i dont think that 3 vs 3 would be equal either but maybe do what you did in other viedos where you have 4 armys or 3.5 armys. So they have smaller armys like the good guys. Cause since the reforged the "evil" guys is like 90 % equal to the good guys and another "evil" army for the "evil" side is not fair. Just wanted to throw my opinion out there. be sure to write if you dont agree with me. I will gladly debate or answer back :) (edit, there were 4 chokes)

well, we did have 20k difference so it was around 40k v 60k which was bit too much. Then as we were all elves we lacked mass which is weakpoint of elves for they are very good in 1v1 (as shown by Quendi) but against large mass (later part/pasically any Gundabad elite) elves have very much trouble. Elves also have low armour value which is palanced by high melee skill which is why they can mostly win all 1v1 units battles but lose against few low tier units if surrounded. And as they have low armour, archers do very well against them as seen in last part of bridge defence in where xbows destroyed us.
If we wanted to make it so that evil factions could rely on numbers, all good factions would need to be so expencive that they could never have 20 units in army and elves hardly even 10, which isn't really something that players would like if not for lore reasons.
orc factions have more men in their units... elves and dwarves have less men... humans are in the middle, if you look at the end result screens in a equally funded battle the evil/orc forces will usualy bring around 2 -3 x as many men

I think the reason the sword quendi where buffed is because Sword quendi where the standard infantry in the first age.
Quendi- What the elves where called before the went to Valinor.

Thanks again for posting these awesome video. Also given how close this battle was, if it had been a 4v4 army battle, Elves would have had enough troops to win. With their low budget troops swin awe, definitely put in an awesome performance at the beginning of and through most of the battle in chewing up and holding the line against similar or better calibre troops, definatel a contender for outstanding unit in this battle, if it were for the witcher units that caused so much damage at the end and turned the tide of battle for the orcs/uruks.
Would love to see you do so Third Age Total war reforged battles from either the golden age of Gondor, ship kings era, when Gondor was a force to be reckoned with and conquered and expanded the kingdom to its greatest expanse size wise or the battle of Celebrant, where the kingdom of Rohan and its long friendship with Gondor was born, in the heat of battle against easterlings and orcs .

FUN VIDEO. SOOOOO GLAD THAT IT WAS A FIGHT TO THE LAST MAN STANDING (on the defenders side anyways). Although I wish none of the attackers retreated. Please post more videos where its a fight to the last man standing on at least one side of the battle.

when enemy is grouping up as we had. If enemy is on lose formation they can hardly kill 20 men. Witchers are bit like expencive low range very fast catapults with low ammo

Rivendell is the smallest of all Elven settlements and it has a population probably less then 1000 so it makes sense that Elves called other Elven forces for this battle

After sauron defeat, you get the elder scroll beginning and surviving orcs assimilate into small war bands.
i miss the army display that would come up when he was saying the army comps. But still this was an awesome battle. also is this and that cair andros map replacing the original ones in a new reforged update?
Yes they will. Next patch will also see edited Edoras and fixed versions for Osgiliath and Black Gate so it works with more than 2 players. Then there will also be elven settlements from village to large city
WK nice cause it was annoying playing black gate and then if the attacks have more the one army it would spawn around the sides. What about hornburg though cause that did the same thing as black gate
