I love new construction homes, but nothing beats an old house that has been loved and has individuality. It's wonderful to have ample space and storage and I think that you and your family will have many happy years there. Congratulations.
I’m cracking up. After touring TX, they had enough and bought a place in WV instead 😂. Believe it or not, not everyone wants to move to TX, NY, CA or FL. The greenery, rivers, and landscape of the middle east coast is absolutely unbelievable.
After traveling fulltime rhe last 2.5yrs. We thought we would end up in Texas or Florida. We just bought a place in Mississippi & couldn't be happier. I do love the hills & mountains of places like Missouri & the Carolinas, but we like heat & the coast.
Highly recommend you install a heated floor on the lower area…put it under tile…where you have the concrete slab and cinder block. We did this in our home that has a similar layout. You control it with a wall-mounted thermostat and it will make that area super cozy in the winter, otherwise it will be cold and damp most of the year, and nearly unbearable in the winter.

After watching you show numerous modern, upscale homes, it's great to see you went with what appears to be the most perfect farmhouse/land you could possibly get. It's literally a dream-worthy property! Congrats! After buying a problematic mobile home on 2 acres (everything's wrong, but I'm still happy with the purchase), the envy is real. :) A note of caution: Your address appears in this video and you might want to edit that out for safety reasons.

Congrats! WV is a beautiful state! I have family in Morgantown. Most of my family lives just across the state line in Pa. The winters are rough up there. Watch for flooding from your ponds and creek. It rains a lot. Love the old house. I live in a house built in 1935 on 8 acres. Love my quirky old house. Part of my foundation is rock. That was done a lot around middle Tn. back in the day.Enjoy your new adventure.
I was thinking the same thing about flooding. Hopefully, it doesn't get too bad for them. The basement bathroom area was always called the Pittsburgh potty 🤭 in my neck of the woods in W PA. Very common in older homes up here. Keep the mess downstairs of the dirty dad coming home from work.
I just ran across this and took the video tour. What a gem of a find !!! Im going to subscribe to watch the decorating and changes !! Incidently, my grandfather built a farmhouse for my grandmother when they were married around 1916. It has the tall 10 ft ceilings with tongue and groove walls, a walk up attic with two storage rooms and the biggest feature was that he enclosed the well and incorporated it next to the kitchen so my grandmother wpuld never have to go out on bad or cold weather to get water. Daddy told me my grandfather never had drawn plans and went solely from his head on how he wanted it to be. Its a beloved home that still remains in our family !!
That house is awesome. How cool to be able to craw out those windows to the roof to watch the stars. I love that kitchen it is so big. Congratulations!
Congratulations Timothy and Jenn and Rory on your new home. Your bedroom looks big enough to put a Master walk-in closet in. You won't be bored for awhile. You'll want to make this your own and it looks like you got a bit of work cut out for you. Enjoy the journey. Take before and after pictures. You got a lovely property to fish and explore and see the deer and perhaps other wildlife. That is wonderful! Enjoy your new adventures.
Switch the laundry room into where the water heater is. Take down some of those walls and open it up for extra living area. You’ll want a comfortable area with access to your back yard view. Such a great home. You also might want to check into “off grid” solar energy. The Generac is a good back up but noisy. It Will be interesting to watch your vlog and progress. Congratulations!
Congrats! WV is beautiful. I stayed there overnight in 1990 on our way to KY to visit family. I love all the nooks and crannies of storage! Your master is so big that you could technically make that closet like 4 feet bigger and still have a giant bedroom. I think I’d be doing that 1st. I have a lot of clothes lol. I love the big kitchen. I’m def subscribing to the new channel! I love the farm!

What seems so nice to me is that you have settled on an older place (farmhouse/farm) instead of a newer place in a city or town. That’s a gorgeous property! I wasn’t raised in WV, but my dad was born there and most of his family still live in the state. I’ve only been a couple times, when I was a kid in the ‘50,s, but I’d love to move there as soon as my DH retires.
