Great content, helps me with some tumbler and lock work I have coming up. I have 2 MJs and an XJ that each have at least one really bad door lock issue. For 1 MJ, it's a tumbler problem on the driver side and a bad lock mechanism on the passenger side. Almost managed to get locked out, even with the key in my hand 🥺
Yikes!!! grab a junk yard key, and ignition tumbler and Door lock from a newer XJ!
why didnt you repair the door that had some damage....it was in such great condition otherwise...happy new year to ya!
I'm not a body guy, Replacing is easer than a repair for me. Maybe one day ill fix it

Brother Dan, another informative and awesome video. I think I would've just had a auto body guy fix my XJ door if it was damaged like that one. Pretty minor in my opinion. By the way, I put head rests in the back of my XJ. Months ago you gave me some link of a guy you know that did it. I checked out his web site where he has some pics posted. After seeing what he had done I concluded it was more than I was willing to take on and above my skill set seeing I don't weld. However I didn't give up the dream and I actually figured another way to do it and my 99 XJ has rear head rests. I'd love to show you some pics. How could I send them to you if you'd like to check them out? God's peace brother.
