Fascinating story! It is so ironic that such a great achievement of conquering the climb of such a magnificent mountain is accompanied by the squabbling, jealousy, egos and negative attributes of man's behaviour. Thanks for showing the stamps and the story, Ted.
great video ted! ive just gotten into philatley and hope to have a great collection one day, its really sad to see stamp collecting as a hobby die out unlike numismatics..
Thanks for the good video! Learned some cool things. Didn`t even know K2 was a mountain. Achille Compagnoni looks like Burt Lancaster a bit haha! Nice play on words at 7:21 😅
@@tedtalksstamps Haha! I actually abandonded model trains and now only go out and see trains in the "wild" haha. I have also gotten into fashion and fragrances(perfume/cologne) haha. How have you been, and how is Germany?
@@IllBeStamped I left Germany almost a year ago. Their bureaucracy is so slow my free pass to stay in Europe rant out. So we went to Portugal and ended up on the island of Madeira.
Great video, great stamps!
Thanks Karen. Great to see you again.
Way to make me interested in a topic I would never have considered on my own. Kudos.
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching.
