Ted, I think your forum is a fabulous resource. Thank-you very much for all your efforts to assemble and curate a 'gold mine' of philatelic documents and websites.
Hey Ted, thank you for sharing my TH-cam channel information. Appreciate your extended support! 😊Glad you are happy with the Princely States book. It's a great episode again, I have already registered to your forum and looking forward to seeing more informative videos. A Happy Easter to you and your family!! Joe.🤝
Very informative and entertaining, tanks for taking us along. Great to hear that you settled down in Portugal. My girls have been in Madeira recently, and they brought back tons of liquor from there. A Happy Easter to you and your family ! 🐣🐤🐥Greets from GER, U.
Hi Ted. What a wonder video, fill of useful information. I will participate in your forum and I will try and get some of my viewers there too as I think it will be nice to have a nice welcoming helpful hang-out! Thanks again Ted and thank you to all those participating in the forum already!
We started out in Germany, but our visa-free visiting period expired before we were able to get a residence appointment, so we went back to Texas and started over with Portugal. It was all for the better; things are going great here. Thanks for stopping by, Bill.
HAPPY EASTER to you and family. Our Easter[Orthodox] is 5th May. Late this year . will join your boards sounds interesting. We have 1dC under the record[1952-26dC] for 29th March 25dC, where are we heading for this summer?
Wow, it looks like his web page, martinmorck.com, is no longer up. Never fear, though. You can find a list of all his stamps on the Stamp Engravers blog: stampengravers.blogspot.com/2013/06/morck-martin.html
Ted, I appreciate your efforts, but you don't know what you don't know. Barwis article on Banknote papers you discuss in this video has been completely debunked. Just look at all his photo's of the 3-cts re-engraved of 1882. Note the paper is bright white, brighter than any of the other stamps. Why is that? Well, because they've been artifically bleached, thats why. Barwis claims its due to a new paper finishing process, which is bunk. Ted, you will find the Scott 2025 Specialized US catalog changes the 1878 Banknote paper designation from "soft porous paper" to "porous linen paper." This is due to my recent article in the 2023 Congress book, "Papers of the US Banknote Era, 1870-1889." For the reasons given, I recommend you edit the Barwis article out of the discussion in this video, and also delete its link on your forum. Cordially, AJ Valente
