    I didn’t even think about using an extension arm for the servo. Thanks for the idea

    Want to ask, i have race tin drift series 1:24... can i upgrade with TowerPro SG90 9G ?and for radio, can i use with stock radio ?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately you can't use the stock radio for that and you'll have to upgrade it to full standard RC system (receiver-esc-servo). I'm not sure if SG90 will fit either. It's pretty big. Take a look at SG51R instead.

    What's the wheelbase on this car's body? Do you think it'd fit sinohobby trq1?
    I'm really sorry if i have a lot of questions. I keep googling but i cant seem to find the info. I did get some info that some of them are 1/28.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is an old one and it's smaller than TRQ1 so it won't fit for both wheelbase and width.

    Do you only need 1 esc for the servo and motor?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. ESC is to send power to motor and give electricity to receiver and servo. You can watch the introduction to RC electronics here. th-cam.com/video/BSt7U-yOa4Q/w-d-xo.html

    How to change tires? I have my race tin for 5 years now...and i have replaced some parts..the only thin left is the tires

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use Mini-Z or equivalent tyres. Here's cheap stuff from banggood you can use. bit.ly/2v5ulTT

    How did you connect the battery? It’s 3 pins and the esc takes only 2 pins . Isn’t the red connector for balancing ?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Connect the right polarity and it'll be alright. If the plug type doesn't match you'll have to change the plug on the ESC. On the battery side, red plug is power port and white plug is for balancing. When the battery is this small either plug can supply the power without burning.

    • @ryowannabe7951
      @ryowannabe7951 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BeaversHobby excellent! Thank you for replying, thats really nice of you. And also , how did you know if the lipo is out of juice? does the ESC comes with cut-off ?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryowannabe7951 Some ESC have cut-off but most small one don't. Here's one that has lipo alarm, you'll need to install a buzzer to make it beep when the battery is low. bit.ly/2qPpisf , buzzer bit.ly/2S9ujXo .
      Otherwise you'll have to rely on external alarm like this bit.ly/2WLw1Ax .

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can take the receiver out of its case and solder everything directly. That will make the boards and wires much more compact.

      @@BeaversHobby yeah i've done and removed everything, next up will be cutting the chassis for the servo... Speaking of servo, what did you do to it? Looks different

    What is the main component?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll need
      1. Radio: Transmitter & Receiver
      2. ESC
      3. Servo
      4. Battery & charger
      Use ball linkages if you want. It'll make the steering better than paper clip I'm using.

    Hello, I really like your video ! The ESC can cope how many volts? 7.4V 800mah?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      8.4V or fully charged 2S Lipo. I've tried 1000mAh and it works too. However it's limited by amps draw at (as specified) 20A. So you can't use motor bigger than 180 size. Stick with 130 and you'll be fine. It's an ESC for small car after all.
