Real Rod Stewart fans wouldn't be caught dead at one of these shows. I remember partying with Rod and the band in Montreal at Club Wanda strip joint after one of his concerts in the late 80s, and that version of Rod Stewart wouldn't have been caught anywhere near one of these shows either, whether watching or performing.

To be clear, Rod puts on a great show and nothing wrong with making $$$, but the notion that he is "doing it for his fans" is absurd. 99.9% of fans cannot afford to attend this show. Rod alludes to this himself when he says many front seats are empty because the high rollers bought the seats but did not even bother to show up... Congrats to those who saw Rod in the 1970s for 10 bucks.
For some reason this came up on my feed 12/6/2021. The first concert that I'd ever attended was Rod Stewart & The faces, Uriah Heep & Elvin Bishop on 8/20/1975. Over 46 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. Insane!!

I grew up a fan of Ozzy and Motley Crue, friends thought I was crazy when I threw Rod in that mix. Always loved him and still do. No one cooler and more real.
That was a great performance from Rod and his whole band. Rod looks so fit and healthy for his age, he is always so natural on stage, a breath of fresh air!

I must share this amazing story. First saw Sir Stewart in Toronto in August 1990. Sat on 3rd row, 5th seat. My (future husband, Steven) was at the same concert, 8th row, 8th seat. Fast forward 28 years, Steven and I met online. When we met in person, Maggie May was playing on the radio. When we decided to have dinner, a couple of musicians came into the restaurant to play. They sang a few of Roddy's songs. When Steven drove home, Maggie May played in different stations. When we got married in 2019, we went to see Rod Stewart at Cesar's Palace in October 2019. Pretty awsome!!! Fast forward,

"Hot Legs," "Maggie Mae" and " Do You Think I'm Sexy" was ALWAYS playing somewhere...over the outdoor speakers at the lake, in the gameroom on the jukebox at the campground we visited every summer, or somewhere on Casey Kasem's Top 40 countdown, which I listened to every Sunday after church.
I went to see Rod Stewart at The Syndrome in Chicago in about 1970 or 1971, and he ended up not showing because he'd come down with a bad cold. But the opening act, The Grease Band, that backed up Joe Cocker at Woodstock, played twice as long, and they were awesome. Never did get to see Rod live.
Wow, so many who have found fame and wealth became totally self-centered, and with such a mindset lost all empathy toward others. Cheers to Rod for caring about people and remembering that it is his fans who have provided him his station in life. Rod said, "these are my fans" and that said it all. Hats off to Rod!
I was truly expecting more from Rod Stewart. This entire production comes off as a slick Vegas Tribute Band or something you would find on a cruise ship. It's cheesy. And maybe that's the reality of an extended "residency" in Vegas.

I helped cook at his 40th Birthday celebration at George Bests club “ Blondes in Mayfair “ back in the early 80’s and was fortunate enough too meet him and too ask him too autograph a menu , he was a real gentleman and so Friendly , I am 15 years younger than him , but he still looks the same Rock on Rod 👍

We booked Aerosmith at MGM at almost three times the price of Rod Stewart tickets. Seeing this, I kind of wish we bought Rod Stewart tickets instead. I’ve just been a casual fan, not really paying much attention to his works besides what comes on the radio. But I’m a Kiss fan, and Paul Stanley absolutely loves Rod Stewart as a singer. He is Paul’s favorite singer. So, now I’m check out Rod’s music and it’s pretty fucking good with a harder rock sound than I expected. Fuck it. I’m buying those Rod Stewart tickets at Caesar’s.

But this is the first time I've commented (mostly because I watch on my widescreen TV and do not mirror so I could type comments!) But you do such a fantastic job no matter where you're sitting. And with this Rod Stewart concert I just had to pause and go to my smart phone to thank you. I don't get out much now due to my health but when I was young, well younger, I'm only 57, I have probably seen close to a hundred concerts. And you do such a great job I almost feel like I'm there. Honeymooned in the islands (St. Lucia) back in 2003. Rod had a standards CD out (I think it was the American Songbook CDs.) He was literally blasting from every nook and cranny of the island. I believe he had toured there/near there...and it was like the excitement that surrounded him in the 70s/80s. Only a class act that cares about his fans as much as they do about him can survive this long in the business. I suspect he loves the fans even more. Kudos to him for that!
I got stuck in an airport with Rod and his mates around 1986 and he gave me his zebra sun visor he was wearing and signed it as well... He was very personable, we talked for about an hour until our flights were finally called again...
