    Hi Nick,
Thanks again for your talk, I feel lucky to have witnessed it live in Utrecht. The whole PKMSummit brought more inspiration than I can process in a month.
Still, your talk stood out and gave me the nudge to share more of the riddles I encounter. So far the process has been messy and bumpy, the outcomes are nevertheless positive. So thank you again.

Beautifully said, and I wish you enjoyment as you work on the riddles you encounter :)

I'm curious, what did the A&G framework get you thinking about? How does it apply in your life?

✅ Organizationally: Rocket Fuel (book): the unity of two people at the top: Visionary (Gardener) & Integrator (Architect).

I'm been hesitant to dive into PKM systems since it felt like a significant time investment. But I definitely see value in this A&G framework in today's world where soft skills are becoming increasingly more important. Your video convinced me to give it a shot! Thanks for creating all this great content :)

Fantastic presentation. It answered many of the questions I had about the tension I feel daily working in my PKM. BTW my son calls it my Dad-a-bank. More importantly, in the last 3 minutes, you answered HOW I can resolve that daily tension, that daily conflict I struggle with. Thank you so much.

The last 3 minutes had a strong punchline. Happy to hear it landed. That's the secret for the Dad-a-bank...whoa, I just realized it sounds like "Data Bank", how clever and cute!

I love the concept of switching between gardener and architect when you feel stuck. It's nice to resolve a frustration by simply adding a little magic.

Unhealthy tendencies for me as an Architect was eye opening. Also, the slides were really helpful. Thanks for the talk.

Thanks for the talk. It made me think of the dynamics in a relationship. My spouse tends strongly toward architect. I tend strongly toward gardener. It leads us to take on certain roles. It will be interesting to discuss.

      @linkingyourthinking  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

You've hit on such an important topic of interpersonal relationships where the A&G framework is greatly under-appreciated. It's so helpful there. While partners may each have strengths, if the shared dynamic forces one party to always compensate for the other (an Architect having to always organize for a Gardener), then awareness can help balance things out from time to time. Conversely, if Architects are overly organized, or strict with schedule, or planning every aspect of a trip, it can stifle the creative spirit a Gardener enjoys (and perhaps needs).

Ironically, this week i was in stuck mode and no idea seems to “jump out” and help me Architect. So what I did was just to pay attention to how the week was panning, noting the thread of conversations I had, what was happening day by day, what i was listening through- which i now see through this video as Gardener mode. From that things are piecing up from all that and I can see a structure emerging in the chaos.
This video helped explain what I was processing through and gives me the courage to piece all the ideas and do the Architect work.
This vid was posted at the right time. I have a talk to give on Sunday!

Great presentation. Thank you for sharing with non-attendees of past PKM Summit.
This led me to garden a new realization that as more people produce videos, conferences with live presentations are likely to become less popular than in the past. As an IT professional in the 2000's, special interest groups connected us with knowledge that was difficult to find elsewhere. Today we have resources like LYT's valuable channel and workshop offerings.
I welcome this shift, albeit not a total replacement, as I prefer videos over live presentations. Personally there are things with presentations that make it hard for me to concentrate: reading the slides before the presenter, the abnormal speech patterns of public speaking, the storytelling, the gimmicks. It feels like it's becoming a bit old-fashioned. I know I can be a cynic type like Harry Astley from Poor Things (very unique film) so I don't expect my opinion to be shared by the majority.

Thank you for this video this was the thought i was going through after using notion for almost 6 months and now i started using the obsidian both of the app is unique in way but having both can be lethal for example exploring with gardener and doing what i need to with Architect i suppose.

Hey Nick, I really love your work, And you are one of the few people that are making a big shift in how I make sense of the world,
I want to make a request, Could you please use clearer and less click-baity (no offense) titles in your future videos for easier retrieval when re-listening ?
I almost didn't find this video by name when I really needed to listen to it again.
    Thanks for reading this.

Hi Nick, I hope you read this. Thanks for the video, the ending has made me really think: So the real riddle is, why did your brother had to look it up (to look cool in front of your dad like you later on had to in front of your brothers with the movie 6th sense? 🤯) and why did you take the robbing so personally? Is that where you intended to go? Am I overthinking things here?😅

I think it's also really important to be concious about your mode and not letting things get mixed. I'm the strictest architect you will ever find, so if I try to explore or think of new things I kind of flag them in my structure as unstructured, which allows my architecture brain to not see as them as threat to my trusted system. Also imo, the dualism of chaos vs order reflects the general polarity in our world described by many religions like female and male, south and north, logic and intuition. So since I'm mainly using notes for THINKING and thinking in my opintion leans more towards order, I think the Arichtect should be the prevelant mode for Thinking. If I want to dive into inuition, inspiration and creativity, I would work with pictures, drawing and mindmaps or other forms of art, because language is more asocciated with the male, rational, thinking side of the two polarities. The more creative part would actually be about feeling. Which doesn't mean that Gardening doesn't work with notes. Also could be that I'm just a paranoid architect
