this actually helped a muhc i wanted to record from the pov i think it looks better for some not that high end fragmovies
When i do the mirv_pov command and then do playdemo the demo starts but the camera is in the sky and i cant change it or move it onto any player. help?
What do you use to record your clips? I tried OBS and I’m not happy how it worked out. I play on 4:3 stretched and the clip i took of my dome isn’t stretched it has black bars. Great video btw!
you can use shadow play but for that I have to have a nvidia graphics card but you won't have to play on 16:9
You can just change the resolution and stretch it afterwards. For example lets say in premiere or any other editting software after you import your clip you can scale it to a 16:9 aspect ratio and then just export it. It literally takes less than a minute to do and its pretty simple. Or alternatively you just set your base canvas resolution on OBS at 1920x1080 and then put a scale filter on the display capture and set it to 16:9 aspect ratio and it will stretch your recording.

Just found your channel today. Watched your tutorials, I have been saving clips using shadowplay for the past couple months, can you do a video on editing a montage together using just those types of clips or is it basically the same? From now on I am going to save my demos so I can use the campath techniques because I prefer that style. Thanks!
Hey and thanks for watching! Not sure if you watched ep 1 from moviemaking tutorials. Demos recording take more time than normal filming because you should set demo to 25%speed for better quality... The editing is pretty much same as in ep4 - vegas pro tutorial. Im gonna make a tutorial soon regarding vegas pro plugins that i use, this will help you a lot
@@specterSAN thanks! Yeah if you could clarify the whole bit, I guess I record the demo in 25% for video, then just add the demo for the audio or do I have to record the demo as well? I understand how to sync them just not sure how to record using shadowplay I use shotcut right now as free video editor and it had a lot of the same tools as VP so I'm going to see how far I can get with that
Record in slow motion and record again at 1x speed for the sound and you sync them in the editing software

Hi sir, im trying to use your method with the followed steps to record pov gameplay from demos.
But there are no sound of radio commands and grenades throwing sound, is it supposed to be like that or need certain config to execute it?
Is it related to 1 of the commands in the config? Which is snd_setmixer dialog vol 0. Because i tried remove it from the mm.cfg still those radio nade sound does not appear in the demos.
Appreciate if you can help, cuz i still cant find any solution so far, thanks.
hi Sean, yes you got that right. set snd_setmixer dialog vol to 1. Also if you want ro display assists mp_display_kill_assists 1

And i also found out that demos from MM have radio nade etc sound while FACEIT demos does not.
I guess for now i will just add the nade etc sound manually during post edit since the highlights i need are from FACEIT.

mirv_listentities doesnt work for me, nothing shows up in console. I also had problem in your previous tutorial, where the attackerid did not show up, I have reinstalled hlae many times and mirv_deathmsg debug 1 is on. I dont know what to do.
If mirv commands don't show up then you haven't launched hlae correctly or you need to update it

@@specterSAN it turned out it was my antivirus that was blocking something and I just needed to turn it off. Just saying if anyone else has the same problem.

Recorded a video at 1200fps, then while editing what should be speed or duration of the video ? I modified it to 2000% to film at 60fps, but audio was distorted
I dont think you can match it to normal using this, i only use super high fps for cinematics, also audio will need to be recorded at 100% speed cause you can't fix it
@@specterSAN for 1200fps, 2000% speed is correct to render normal speed while editing?
@@ThakurShaaabCSGO you shouldnt use specific FPS number if you wanna match the footage back to 100% speed. You should use the demoui tool to set the speed to 5% let's say. in this case you know exactly that if you play your footage 20 times faster in the editing software you would get to 100% normal playing speed. As i said i only use high fps numbers for cinematics, as i dont have to match the normal playing speed there

Are you sure you re downloading from the official site? If yes then try downloading the zip file
If you still can't download, close your Windows Defender and try again, I think you can download.

I don't use HLAE and mirv_listentities isPlayer=1 is not working for me and neither is mirv_desthmsg debug 1.

@@rmayank you can't only show yourself in killfeed without HLAE, mirv_listentities is for MIRV_POV. Have mirv_deathmsg debug 1 and check for attackerId for deathnotices

It's possible, only if you join a server while running HLAE. However they're preventing joining servers with the -insecure parameter in setlaunch. I haven't tried joining servers tho, I'm using HLAE for years only for demo viewing and I haven't had any issues

@@specterSAN I don't play that game so it's not clear to me why you can't just record the screen or game window with obs.
@@AkamiChannel The recording is done with OBS in both cases. The idea behind this video is that if you don't always record your screen while playing then you can record a clip from CSGO demos (demos are matches recordings made by the server) but the demo recording is not as smooth (it feels a bit laggier because of the reduced tickrate from the demo) and also you will not see the POV-UI (money, radar, etc).
Some people like to see montages only made from actual gameplay and not filmed from demos.
Another huge advantage of the feature im presenting is that you can mimic the POV-UI in a demo (tricking your viewers that it's actual gameplay), and you can also set the demo speed at 25% and film it, after which you can speed it up 4 times in Vegas or Adobe premiere. By doing this you are increasing quality by a drastic amount, meaning that your clip is actually at 240 FPS, which translates into smoother gameplay and insane slow motion.
