- The King has accepted the role of Commissioner-in-Chief of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). His Majesty was presented with a special commemorative sword and a horse called Noble. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the RCMP.

Mountie horses are absolutely gorgeous. They were also the first horses we saw at the funeral. I was feeling really bad and seeing Canadian Mounties, you feel things aren't so bad. They are so reassuring.
I love the huge grin on the Mountie's face at the beginning.
I love the RCMP! And their relationship with the late Queen was just magical!
The Mounties leading the late Queens funeral procession made me cry!

I’m always so proud of to watch them in the U.K. at historic events and just recently in the funeral procession of of late Queen, it was so perfect that our Commonwealth brothers and sisters were there🏴🇬🇧

So is this location in the video in Britain or in Canada? It just looks so much like the British Isles, as an American I can't see how that landscape is in North America, even far north where Canada is. It looks almost Celtic.
@@Awakeningspirit20 It is Windsor Castle in England. Home to the Kings and Queens of England and later Great Britain for around 1,000 years.
This is akin to the Respect the Canadian Mounted Police had for our late Queen. They gifted her the mount "Burmese" our Queen rode upon all her home Royal Military parades.
If it's one thing we do well in 🇨🇦, it's this! 🇬🇧

The desr Queen still had 4 Candian Mounty gifted horses ,she herself rode one side saddle at the yrooping of the colour for 18 yrs,when he retired she started using a carriage. ( He has since died of old age,) THREE of her Mountie horses were used by The King,William and Anne at last years trooping of the colour.Pherhsps this year Charles maybe riding his new one( may rather have one of the older experienced ones ,till the young one get used to things,Charles will be 75 in Nov after all)
That was a mare that she rode for years - Burmese.
@@susantunbridge4612 i always remember the photo of the Queen riding with Ronald Reagan, both on RCMP horses - Burmese and Centenial. (And no, that's not a spelling error. According to the RCMP website, they spelled it with one "n" on purpose.)
The horse is seven and rode in over 50 parades. You act like it's a foal.

I love Canada ...it was like my second home when I was younger! I would often see the Canadian mounted police on their beautiful horses and the riders in red is so striking! ..I love my England but equally love Canada ..such beautiful people ..and what a kind gesture to the their king to gift him such a handsome horse.

Good for the Canadians. Any people(s) who don't recognise and respect their own past and traditions, or actually have a decent past, really have no idea of where they are going. This is certainly not the case with Canada, nor for that matter any Commonwealth Nation.
It doesn't help when you have foreigners flooding Canada with no respect to our history! It's sad!😢
Our military has been left to rot, in disrepair. It's bleeding members, and can't recruit. In less then10 years there is a good chance we won't be able to meet a single Nato commitment. and will not be able to defend our waters. The RCMP is an incompetent force that is constantly failing at their jobs. Our health care is falling apart, and in such a state that many die before they can get the treatment they need. I would say under this Monarchy Canada's traditions, have turned into blinders that keep us from seeing the path. Instead we march blindly behind another countries king, like some serf of old. Until we remove the rot that is this monarchy from our government. We may very well see Canada turn into a country no one cares to listen to, or respect.
@@canadianguy1955 : I think you are mistaking the role of the Head of State, the Prime Minister and leader of the Opposition. The role of Head of State is to give legitimacy to the latter two to function with Canada's 'own Constitutional Government. The Canadian people elect their own MP's, the most popular (most seats) party selecting a Prime Minister. The Head of State does not get involved with such matters. By all means advocate for a Republic, but that is not going to solve your concerns, look to the South to see what that gets you.

For as long as our head of state is a foreign king, we will continue to spiral into irrelevency on the world stage. I understand their role completly. And as head of our military, the rcmp and our government. It's under their mostly ceremonial role that these institutions have rotted into irrelevency and incompetence.
The RCMP can't even do simple policing correctly as shown in Nova Scotia. Our military couldn't fight even a third world nations army. Our navy can't even patrol our own waters. But ya let's keep handing these pompous royals horses to look like we got it together.

Removed from our federal police force. And removed from the head of our disgracefully incompetent military. Maybe by removing the traditional rot from our government that is the Monarch. We can finally force meaningful change, that will repair and rebuild our failing institutions.

Beautiful horses. Well done the RCMP! How can people think of hurting or spooking such beautiful majestic noble beings? Such as the miscreants who are planning to disrupt the coronation parade and spoil the joy for millions. Imo these people should be horsewhipped and then prosecuted to the full extent of the law. 🇮🇳
