I love what she says about Identity ... so true ... plus, she carries such a magnificently simple worldview and such a genuine sense of herself, without the ego mania and narcissism... one of my favourite artist... I wouldn't think of her as a mere "actress" either, she's someone who has chosen to work in the field of cinema and the performing arts.

I stood behind her at Gatwick airport a couple of days after Bowie died. I met Bowie while working on his exhibition in London and I also met Derick Jarmen back in the early 90's. I really wanted to say hello to her but didn't want to bother her. She was smiling at people staring at her in the shop. She seemed like a beautiful gentle bird. Xxx

I am a bit confused: she said that "failure is the top (or the best, I am not sure)", but then she said that basically she never failed because all her work became reference work, and they knew it years before...She said that she is watching trash on TH-cam but then the so-called trash are documentaries....To the question on what movie made her cry, she mentioned Hitchcock and Totoro? She said she doesn't see herself as an actor, but she earns her money with acting. She said that she doesn't know many actors...I like her, but I am not sure what to think now

I don't agree with her opinion of failure. It's quite different to fail when you have money behind you but when you fail and put all your money into what you are trying to do and lose all your money, that is scary and doesn't make you feel good. Just panic.
I doubt ANYONE involved in the "failed" Jarman films had any money at all - including Jarman himself. Those films were all made on a shoestring. Those were the days when, as she says, she hardly had enough money to raise her small children. Stop thinking she's some kind of rich superstar!!!
