Well as a Serb there is quite a lot of stuff that i hate about this situation, first is how our government treats the whole situation, EU is giving them a lot of money to build centers, feed and dress up the migrants, politicians naturally steal that money and keep them on the low budget, when they started to roam around and steal, ordinary people fought them back and started organizing "Peoples patrols" only then police reacted but not to police the migrants, but to protect the migrants from the people. Also a special criminal clans started arising(People here love "Get rich fast" schemes), that smuggle migrants over the border, i bet its very lucrative business because thing that they are doing is considered "human trafficking" in our law and it fits under organised crime, so if you are caught jail sentence is 10-15 years in prison! Not to mention that there are hordes of them around buss and train stations, littering and destroying property, so its not very fun to have them around...
they want to go to Germany because they get a home and money there, in Serbia they don't get those benefits. They want to go to France, GB, Germany, Sweden.
@@Schmidt54 to be fair even Serbs dont get something for nothing here. No free housing, no nothing, you get free health care and schooling (elementary and high school, maybe uni on merit, based on how you preformed in high school, but not granted) but thats it, some unemployment check which is nothing, not even enough for food so you got to get a job. There are about 3.000 Cuban refugees in Serbia atm but they all work and are fine, so why give someone everything for nothing, no one told them they cant get a job, they just dont want to when they can get free shit in Germany and live in nicer, richer place.
It's actually much worse than only that. Our cuck president signed a decry with Austrian gov. Migrants who come to Serbia get issued papers. On those papers, Serbia is the first country of entry in Europe (which is impossible, since we are land locked) and thus, any migrant that ends up in Austria and turns out to be rotten, gets deported to 1st country of entry - which is Serbia. This means, Austria cherry picks migrants, and all the bad ones (murderers, thieves, rapists etc) get sent to Serbia and stay here... Luckily for us, most of them are illegally getting into EU, but if they get caught, they get sent back here...
You think that, but I noticed cuts to the video when the Serbian guys were talking to him and I wanted to listen to their explanation to their points but he cut it off
Those men are not refugees or asylum seekers - they openly say they want to go to particular countries because they like those countries, they are not fleeing from anything. What the British are doing by putting them in fancy hotels is a (expletive) disgusting situation.

It’s amazing how Serbia and most of Eastern Europe are proud to defend there country from 3rd world migrants bravo compared to my country England who are so weak in there border defences
Well, I am Serb and I find your comment particularly disgusting. You obviously don't know anything about us and you, probably don't want to. We don't have to defend ourselves from migrants. They have heard about us. When we tried to defend ourselves from US and GB, we failed. That's the reason why the majority of us think of your governments ( not the people) as our enemy. And not some poor refugees. No matter if they are political or economic migrants. We know wery well what is war and what is poverty. No one leaves his home and family if he doesn't have to. The thing is that we already have so many Serbian, Russian and Ukrainian people coming here for safety that we could not possibly take any more. So, we accept them to our refugee camps, which were full of Serbs not so long ago, and simply tell them the facts: that we don't have enough jobs and money as it is. Every one of them is completely free to seek asylum and become part of our society. But, they understand that at least half of us are extremely bitter at not just Anglo-Saxons, but Muslims as well. It's not problem now, but it could become if they stay here. The other half of us think that we should finally become part of EU. Including me. But it gets harder, considering that EU already invited them, just to close their borders later. Meanwhile, many people from all around the world, including Brits and Americans, are already coming and staying here. Everyone is welcome, we are welcoming people. But, for how long? I haven't noticed that any of EU countries accept Ukrainian and Russian refugees. We already have at least half of million. They mostly bring their own money, so it's still ok, but they also don't want to stay. You should be human first and then Torry or Labour.
Hell no. I went to Belgrade three or four months ago and it is by far the worst country I’ve been to. The Serbs have such a cool and proud history but they stifle what they have and don’t care for it.

Right now unfortunately Serbian beer is shit, because most of our state owned breweries ware bought and noiw owned by western corporations and they turned our once good beer into shit...
I was in Serbia in 2018. Loved the food and hospitality. They don't hate themselves as most Western whites do. And see no problem putting their group first. They are also very welcoming and generous to people who come legally, pay their own way and respect their culture. Most are still Christian as well - that helps bind them as a group too with common ritual and festivals that are based on more than sports and consumerism. Most rely on family for help not the state.
Among our younger generation more and more are becoming religious. Many young couples are having more and more children etc. A complete reversal from the generation that lived in Socialism.
Actually Serbia is pretty multicultural and although most Serbs are culturally Christian, quite a few are atheists. But yeah, Serbs weren't involved in the slave trade of Africans so there is no historical reason for self hatred for white people.

Communism in Yugoslavia was quite a bit different to Russian communism. This can even be seen in architecture and building's engineering. Housing was built to be more humane, instead of purely utilitarian. Most of the communist blocks in Serbia are still very much desirable places to live in, even today; unlike Khrushchyovkas.
@@GTDpowah After WW2 I’d say that Krustchevkas were a solution to the housing issue that Russia (and most of the Soviet Union) needed to overcome just based on how much WW2 destroyed of the country. honestly, Balkans are underrated - some things are true, most are misconceptions - the quality of life isn't bad, and the cities are much much more safer than any in the west, cost of living has been drastically going up over the last decade though, but it's still cheap by western standards you can get on well in the cities, despite all the stereotypes, Serbs are welcoming of foreigners and most are genuinely interested in them (you might be looked at as an attraction or novelty of sorts, as if they're the tourists and not you, you'll have to get used to that) and most people speak good English, or at least enough for you to be able to communicate basic things
That's very interesting because as an American living in South Texas, you are living on land that your ancestors stole from the Mexicans, in a country that was stolen from the native Americans.

Belgrade is the most diverse city on the Balkans, it’s full of foreigners… Calling Belgrade nationalistic is crazy, especially there people don’t care what nationality or color you are 😉… And 1 day there it’s not enough, you should experience clubbing there… Belgrade is like Berlin, and Novi Sad is like Athens… And Serbia is South slavic country it’s not eastern, it’s more simmilar to Greece than to Russia…
As a Serb whose mother was a divinity professor from Beograd, you are one of the only other people I have heard make this distinction. As someone aptly commented, “Serbia is more united by Christianity than football and consumerism”, you can trace the Orthodox Patriarchal lineage to Greece. While Serbia and Russia are natural neighbors, what really forged their kinship is the tragedies of the past century; particularly WWII, sealed further by their mutual and natural contempt and defiance of NATO and the woke godless west in general - but if you peel all that back - this is true for both Russia and Serbia - if you don’t have balls, and break your own treaties, don’t come back to the table. Neither wields control over the other. While they are conterminous, they aren’t necessarily symbiotic, as they are both self-sufficient. At their very core, they are pragmatic and honorable, while both being able to tell the virtue-signaling woke tyrant’s to F off, we won’t sell our souls for a price. Little fact, Beograd literally translates to “white fortress” and was named for the strategically important white fortress on the hill. I feel I have to disabuse the mistranslation of “white-city” going around, because it has nothing to do with ethnicity or race, and everything to do with pragmatism and balls. I say all of that to say this, today Serbia is nothing like it’s patriarchal lineage to Greece, and much more closely bonded to Russia. It’s like a fatherless child that found its true home at the fortress in those hills, which both sides had/have to respect and protect.
@@shmooligan4550 There's a profound sense of irony in referring to someone as "woke" while being yourself woke, and especially regarding Russia which is the wokiest of nations to the point simply questioning the "war" or calling the "war" a "war" could land you in jail.

Municipal weddings are where you're officially married as far as the state is concerned. Even religious couples have to go through a municipal wedding. The church has no power to make an official state wedding, like in the west. Church weddings are simply optional and a matter of faith.

It's just not that apparent because the border area is kind of a no mans land. Empty fields.
there are stones marking the border. we walked only a few metres within hungary
Is everyone a giant in Serbia? Even the President is so tall.
yes
fun fact: he‘s actually the tallest president in the world
@@gamps2771 nope that would be the albanian president edi rama
@@soul8938Edi Rama is not a president. He is a prime minister. Vucic is officially the tallest president with 1.99m height.
@@ilijameseldzija2983 in albania the prime minister is the head of state in servia its the president
Well done, Callum! That was an excellent video. The media is made to look so biased after watching a fantastic piece like this.
Keep up the good work.
I like how just casual and matter of fact you area. It's like you just stroll into dangerous/controversial places and talk to people, and no one gets taken aback or angry... They just accept that you're there.
The silent jihad marches on
Excellent vid, these travel docs are great, hopefully you get more invites to make more of them. Let me know if you ever want a travel guide for the wild and dangerous foreign land of Birmingham.
Watching your videos has genuinely given me a whole new perspective of the world
Serbia is amazing place... people have same humor like us and easy to get along.. amazing smiles and always happy to help you
All the fast food restaurants that reside in big city's "Old towns" have to reuse the historic buildings in order to be in hot spot as to get as many clients, it is a common feat in these part of europe i.e Poland and everything southward
I have been going to Belgrade since 2002. I have never ever felt unsafe. I was never treated badly because I am an American. In fact people are very friendly.
My friends brother was in jail for smuggling immigrants. The thing was, Serbian border police let them through because they wanted to get rid of them and didn'treally want to bother at all, but Croatian border police arrested them and deported them back. Our guy to Serbia for a jail time and the rest of those to God knows where.
Municipal weddings are where you're officially married as far as the state is concerned. Even religious couples have to go through a municipal wedding. The church has no power to make an official state wedding, like in the west. Church weddings are simply optional and a matter of faith.
Thus, Serbian weddings usually have three components: the church wedding (if religious), the municipal wedding and the banquet. Some couples chose to combine the last two by hiring a municipality official to come to the banquet and perform the official wedding there.
"The church has no power to make an official wedding like in the west" this is incorrect. Its not like this at all in the west.
the church wedding is actually the only one that matters and makes it official. Marriage comes from the church
30:50 Just look at those faces - they are radiating so much inteligence! Germany, how blessed you are with your future engineers, IT-experts and doctors! Your future, Germany, is as bright as these guys minds.
It's worth watching for the fake accent you put on when speaking to the locals and Afghan migrants...
it would be explained to them that that is not the proper thing to do in serbia.
why do i think the man from the land of zipties for necklaces didn't mean they'd all sing the 'don't touch me there, that's my no-no square' song the swedes came out with? 😂
Finns not swedes
Your "Subotica" sounds a lot like "Srebrenica", on several points I was confused where you actually are...
I live in Greece and there is pretty little to add to this video (thank you a lot for your work), I will just say that it unfortunately falls on the people in the west/north to put "pressure" on their leaders/elites to solve these problems.
Μπράβο φίλε. Καλος
That's not how it works. If you oppose this in any way you are far right and in some cases can be jailed.
@@indiekiddrugpatrol3117 yes, but if you look at history, this has happened many times before, for example, french revolution, liberal revolutions of 1848, the October revolution, and the "peaceful" revolutions in eastern Europe in 1989. And my favorite example is the final uprising of the greek people for independence from the Ottoman empire, which suceeded, even though the Ot.empire was believed to be practically infinitely strong. So it can be stoped. They are not infinitely strong.
In every case, me living in Greece cannot really do much for a distant country such as the UK or France, or Germany or the US.
EU: You must help migrants and cannot kick them out of your country!
Hungary: Ok, we’ll build our fence a hundred meters inside our border then 😎
"they're calling them to the mosque" so based 😂
"Afghan national army" lol
Imagine being a clean-shaven double-chinner and complaining about soy.
Is there any law in UK thats forbid showing Serbia in a positive way?
