    No bottle mic? :)

  • @vaiman7777
    @vaiman7777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can save the mic positions in BBC player as a preset. So just load an instrument, pick the saved preset. Remember to disable Global slider, so each instance is individual

    • @DJLA
      @DJLA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      But then you are stuck with multiple mics loaded per instrument, meaning the RAM footprint will quickly skyrocket. As I mentioned in your other post, you should be hyped for mic merging. You can set up that cool mic balance you like except now you can save it as its own mic so you only need one. Also BBC isnt multitimbral meaning you can only load one instrument per instance, unlike Kontakt, SINE, PLAY where you can load multitimbraly.

    • @vaiman7777
      @vaiman7777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLA Yeah I agree multitimbral is great. The purge function in SINE is also great (and sorely missed in SA Player). Lot's to like in the new SINE I think. Don't think I would use the mic merge, as I'm never happy and want to tweak. So I'd end up with numerous ones ranging like CTO.v1 to CTO.v38, as they weigh in around 2GB according to OT, I'm best of avoiding this haha. I think for your workflow however, mic merge will be awesome!

    • @vaiman7777
      @vaiman7777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLA As a side note, I agree with you also on why these 'players' are developed. SINE does look like they went this route to add things for users experience. The store is a perfect example. Spitfire went this route because they want to restrict their users... and save money whilst not passing this saving back onto the users. Aka crippled vs enhanced players.

  • @pierbover
    @pierbover 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    In Ableton Live you can save racks of instruments with any settings you like on the instruments themselves

    • @DJLA
      @DJLA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But what if I want to take those same settings into Cubase? thats the big positive of multis for someone who uses multiple DAW's I can bring my settings across regardless of what platform I want to work in.

  • @ThatsnOrange
    @ThatsnOrange 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    will they release metropolis and their other librarys for SINE aswell?

    • @kylejudkins754
      @kylejudkins754 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, and for free. they've already said that you've purchased these libraries you can use them when they are ported to sine(with no additional charge)
      the real question will be wether they sell kontakt versions after they've been ported to sine

  • @rubenmolino1480

    OK .... YOU WOULD HAVE TO MAKE A COMPARISON WITH THESE 3 NEW TOYS VSL ... SYNCHRON SERIES OF VIENNA / JXL Brass DE OECHESTRA TOOLL / And spitfire with your BBC Symphony Orchestra ... if this really replaces and exceeds by handling of joints ... to the Kontakt engine and its best libraries ... or the time has come to understand that I lost tons of money for Kontakt and its libraries.

    Hey DJ. On not being able to save multiple instruments: you can just save track presets with multiple tracks. I use those as "sub templates" where you can save e.g. all your brass in a certain setup and then just load it all at once the next time you need it:

    • @jdieks
      @jdieks 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLA Actually.. I have not tested this in ages... But can't you just run Live as a rewire device and send the midi to cubase where the instruments are loaded for the rare occasion that you need clip launchers?.. Something along those lines.

    • @DJLA
      @DJLA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jdieks My point about multis is they are transferable. So if I create a multi in Kontakt in cubase with all my perfect settings, but then want to move to a sound designy thing I am doing in Ableton (which I do occasionally) I can just load that multi up no problem, in any DAW. With the BBC I can't even load up my balance in the same session without having to create a new Spitfire player for every instrument. Feels like a player from the early 2000's

    • @jdieks
      @jdieks 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLA Ah, I get your point. You almost need something along the lines of DDMF meta plugin or Bluecat Patchworks for the same functionality..

      But it looks like each instrument has 5 mic positions loaded. With mic merging you can take those 5 and merge them down to 1 mix mic position. Taking the RAM down to significantly lower! one of the big draws of the SINE player

    749Euro lmao don't see any HUGE difference from other brass libraries prices are just to crazy to even afford i will always wonder why they cost so much more then a video game that they can spend 3-5 years in development and sale to comsumers for 79-150$ and you can profit off of a video game , you can basically profit off anything you buy so i don't see the reason these libraries cost so much??? and you can't even test them to see how your cpu can handle them before you buy cause they are all made differently and they don't refund. I hear music on every video i watch , games i play , radio , adds is there not enough people that make music now a days to have normal pricing? Down the road they will end up making more money if normal people could afford them....but its sold to selected individuals...anyone seen the price of nexus 3 lol 2.5 kkkk come on.....why????

    • @DJLA
      @DJLA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sample libraries are generally more expensive than entertainment media as with entertainment you consume the product and you move on. With sample libraries you are getting the results of a thousands of dollars recording which you can then use to create music which in a professional environment will earn you that money back over time...its an investment rather than a cost. Also you are paying to use someone elses recordings in your work forever. When you buy a sample library you have the licence to use it in works that can make you money for the rest of your life. I am sure there is more to it and better ways to explain it, but I hope that makes a little bit of sense :)

    • @EyJoBeats

    • @EyJoBeats

      replace the snowboard with a midi controller or piano whatever i don't pay extra at the store for a license to be able to use it cause it helps me make money.. doesn't make sence lol

      @DJLA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EyJoBeats Sorry maybe I didn't explain it well enough. Ask yourself this, when you buy the latest Call of Duty video game, are you allowed to re-use the assets from that game, ie the models, textures, music etc to go on and create your own video game, using those assets, without having to pay the company any more money?
      Thats what you are paying for.

    • @EyJoBeats
      @EyJoBeats 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLA ok i hear ya but still way to expensive i mean id see myself buying allot of libraries if the where around 150-199 i mean i purchased 279 xbox live games around 150$ Canadian cause i like useless bonus stuff and the full package but asking 1k is just to much and to me a lost of business i'm sure there is plenty out there at that prices that would be buying right now me included but yeah i guess its more catered to only the rich or studios i guess they have money or subventions.
