I find that If I really want my curls to hang around, my locs have to be wet, and the curls have to be smaller. I use the Wrap-a-loc brand, and they work so well! Maybe give those a try. Note: you will need more than one pack, and it's best to just get the longest ones. See ya!

I admire your locs, I had to redo my entire back section because they all slipped out. However, I followed your example and parted the back of my hair like yours. So I just started again,hopefully this time they will hole

Headband on locs has the same process but more effective for locs bc it’s smaller and the locs wrap around tighter. That band for headless curls is too big for locs especially short ones. Headband with wet locs and mousse works for a wavy look but not curls. Perm rods are the best for those and next from that would be hotdog rollers but both uncomfortable overnight but the look is perfection and lasts
I just tried it last week and I will say it didn’t work on my locs either but I tried again with water and a blow dryer and it did a lil something but the curls didn’t last an hour
Not this, but seeing you wrap your hair around the tube reminded me of headband curls. I have seen several ladies do them on microlocs, but they did not work for me. My hair was just above my shoulders so I just assumed it wasn’t quite long enough. Bummer it didn’t work out for you.
Have a look at kris mcdred. He's the king of curled locks. And he has think babies. So it has to be easy with micro's. That thing is to big for yours girl.

Thank you for trying it out and sacrificing for us! Maybe with Long “old skool” men’s tube Socks that might feel more comfortable.
I have never tried it but maybe try sock curls next time. Those may be easier to sleep on.

I've seen someone try this method with a sock, maybe try that, i'm sure it would be much more comfy.
