Great Review. Very thorough however, repeated the leather seats with cross stitching a little too many times. Didn't give me the dimensions of the center entertainment screen. But that is being very picky. Very good job as always!!!!

No thanks. The all digital cluster may look nice..but it takes forever to find settings and is very distracting to do while driving. It's the reason I purchased a 2018 model instead of the newest one. I want simple and quick settings and don't want to go through menu after menu on a digital dash while trying to keep my eyes on the road.

Can't decide between the Mercedes GLS or Range Rover Sport. GLS looks more spacious with 7 seater but then again a Range Rover sport looks real nice also
vena309 I know right it's a really hard comparison, but the Range rover especially the autobiography is on part with Bentley and rolls Royce, that's a thing

vena309 get the gls 350 bluetech and fully load it with every package. My suggestion. I own a gle 350 bluetech fully loaded. It's 1200km of range. Over 500 torque. Sound like a badass truck.

This one doesn't have a transfer case correct
Found a Used GLS 550 with almost all Options with 90k miles going for 40k, should we get it or get one with all options used 26k miles for 63k? Both never been in an accident and One Owner.
Always get them with as few miles as possible and make sure they have a good maintenance history that can be proven.

I like the back of the 2016 GL550 more than this new one but that's just me.

Excellent vehicle well reviewed! The colour schemes would have been interesting to know, other than just the white seats and black interior.
I will buy this car because of its practicality and fine engineering. Its reliability was not mentioned, which forces me to also evaluate the Land Cruiser.
The main appeal of this vehicle is that there's no electric or hybrid equivalent in the market, and I don't think there'll be any for the foreseeable future. M-B should make it uniquely qualified for it's task and appeal.

hmm... maybe I ask MB to tune my 2015 GL550 from 429HP to 449 HP since this GLS550 has the same engine. haha.
Btw, those Continental CrossContact UHP tires are terrible and cord pretty quick. The Continental Extreme Contact DWS are the best with a better rating.
Or you can buy a Range Rover Supercharged! Both great cars, but Range Rover has more prestige and more luxury.

The 07-10 tail lights look cheap compared to the beautiful LED ones in this video.

Whats the diff between 4matic and non 4matic ?
+manerovi nueva 4matic is a 4wheel drive term for MB vehicles. 4matic will distribute power to the wheel needed the most under different circumstances. in some MB vehicle that uses front wheel drive or rear wheel drive will be non 4matic, in that case, it is only a 2 wheel drive vehicle (can either be front or rear wheel drive) hope it help

No. I believe(don't mark my words) but it's on a shared platform with the GLE(M-Class) and the GLE platform is shared with the E-Class. I don't know. Lemme look it up :)

So pretty much the GLS is the Extended version of the GLE.

Man!!! That is expensive...very scary
Well one way to a void it is start doing things at 50k and spread them out or learn to do the basic stuff like oil changes and filter changes on your own. You can save lot of dough doing soms iiems yourself.
The plugs and trans fluid are a lot of the $3k cost
