Having been invited to perform for this prestigious event makes Angelina the only artist to have been asked to do so twice. That speaks volumes about how much the Nobel Peace Prize committee admires Angelia’s immense talent.
Angelina recently released her "Old Enough" EP with six original songs, IMO beginning the 'Angelina genre'. Even more recently she released a single "Our Time" and a 5 song Christmas EP. She has told us she has written over 100 songs, so there is plenty to look forward to. We continue to be patient, waiting for her full promotion by Republic Records. We applaud her loving family for managing her career so well, allowing her to complete high school while getting acquainted with so many in the music industry. She told us Republic build a studio for her to create her magic.
Not sure you could listen to her new Ep+1 and say this song may show she is set in her ways and the direction she will go. Maybe I didn't understand what he was trying to say, but this song is nothing like her recent originals and I don't think her voice is anywhere close to peaking. Although I don't know how it could get much better! Scary thought! lol

reached me with the emotion laden, penetrating depth that Angelina achieves
here. It is a fitting tribute to a woman who is the 2023 recipient of 'The Nobel
Peace Prize' while she languishes in an Iranian prison for simply trying to improve
women's rights. The fact that Angelina's beloved grandmother and life's mentor
Mery Zamani is also Iranian had to affect her desire to do the song in this special

Every time I listen to her performance for this concert I am blown away by the utter beauty of her, her voice, the orchestra, this performance. I'm not sure our ears can feel more love than this. The recipient for this year's award was Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian dissident, now in an Iranian prison for her outspoken messages and activism for women's rights. Narges' two twin children spoke on her behalf at this event prior to Angelina's singing. They are Angelina's age and haven't seen their mother in years. She was able to speak with both before her performance. I'm sure this performance was a very poignant moment for Angelina--one quarter Iranian herself, and whose grandmother Mery is full Iranian. I loved everything about this performance, and I appreciate your appreciation of her as well.

As always, it is about the song and the occasion, for Angelina. I thought "Unchained Melody" was an odd choice for this event, but have since learned the history of the song. More on that later. Certainly, Angelina was thrilled to be performing back in her home country of Norway, where she is a national treasure, but this performance goes way beyond that honor. She first performed at the Save the Children event at the 2014 Peace Prize event, when she was 8 years old.
Narges Mohammadi was this year's recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges, is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. Most of the performers were Iranian.
We know Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, grew up in Iran and was a prodigy for painting and poetry. We can imagine the conversations Mery had with Angelina about Narges. This performance had to be extremely meaningful to Angelina and her family. I hope all the angels will spread the story of Narges and her mission, with the hope for change.
In 1954, Alex North was contracted to compose the score for the prison film Unchained (released in 1955). North had a melody he had written in the 1930s and composed and recorded the score when he was asked to write a song based upon the movie's theme. North asked Hy Zaret to write the lyrics. After first refusing, Zaret and North together wrote "Unchained Melody. Zaret refused the producer's request to include the word "unchained" in his lyrics. The song eventually became known as the "Unchained Melody" even though the song does not actually include the word "unchained". Instead, Zaret chose to focus on someone who pines for a lover he has not seen in a "long, lonely time".
The film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run, or completing his sentence and returning to his wife and family. So indeed this song fits along with Narges being in prison and her two children, and the rest of the people who embrace freedom, calling for her release. It has been 9 years since Narges has seen her twins, boy and girl, or husband.
Narge's children are twins the same age as Angelina. And they are ONE daughter and ONE SON!
Somebody is not keeping you informed. She did a couple concerts in Norwa y last summer, and there are some good recordings. And as many will inform you she released an EP with six originals. Plus the single OUR TIME. So it ain't just Tikkitoks.You're missing out.

Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking angels and reactors to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here at the Nobel Peace prize tribute in Oslo Norway, elegantly honoring with song, the brave recipient, with peace and respect. She paid homage to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware, and call for change, the more hopeful that the leaders of Iran will set her free. Implementing acts of kindness to others is how Angelina always reminds us to live our lives. We ALL need to honor Angelina by following her lead. If more people provide this kind of love and kindness, we will all help make the world a better place.

Earlier this year she released an EP called Old Enough. It has two videos and about six songs. A few months ago she released a new song called Our Time and a few weeks ago she released her Christmas EP called Driving Home for Christmas which contains about 4 Christmas classics.

The AJ song, 'Our Time' should appear on your list. You are wrong about her being 'set in her ways' now, unless you mean in a multi-vocal-genre sort of way. She also provided 'Driving Home For Christmas' this season (though actually performed and recorded in the 2022 season). I guess she will be still a child at heart for a long time but, only to the government until Jan 10th, when she is 18. Happy New Year.

You say that you haven’t reacted to Angelina in a while. Not sure how long it’s been but she actually released quite a bit last year: A six song EP of all originals called Old Enough, an original single called Our Time and a 5 song Christmas EP.
In reality I think the originals she released are probably more representative of the direction she is going.
This performance is at least the 4th time she has performed the song, at age 9 on a TV interview show, a home recording at about age 11, in September at her concert in Portsmouth and now this performance at the Nobel Peace Prize celebration.
This is also at least the third time that she has performed with this orchestra. She recorded her cover of Back to Black with them and also a live performance of Summertime.

I hope that this is the Angelina that we will see for years to come. Standing alone in the middle of the stage, with her big microphone and some music. What she delivered this way is pure vocal art. Beautiful, emotional, unique. She is more than able to sing in different styles but when she finds, or creates song life "Million Miles" that allowed her to show her art, it is something unique. Angelina has two new EPs, with three live in studio videos from them. One you should really catch is Old Enough, her five-song EP, with two videos of the songs and three audio only. The other is her new Christmas songs EP, all audio. Her voice has definitely grown and changed, even since her 2022 summer concerts in Norway. I dont know if you could say at 17 or 18 that she is set in her ways. It depends on other influences the world serves up to her. She certainly is exceptional. A great deal depends on so many, many things going into the direction that resonates with the masses. Will she ever eclipse people like Taylor Swift.....and would she even want to. I feel she will carve her own path...given her amazing musicality and presence. How that plays out no one can predict.......I, like many others would love to see her become one of the great music legends and create a catalog of material that will endure far beyond this and many generations to come. I love the light and hope she projects in this troubled world. This may indeed be her path...one can only speculate. She has already embraced our minds, touched ...our hearts and lifted our spirits from the time she was a very young child. She has already performed a lifetime of great cover songs. This is a perfect song for this Nobel Peace Prize sermoney since the winner is sitging in a prison in Iran where AJs grandmum is comming from. Angelina was a jazz legend by the time she was ten and has dipped her toes in most other genres as well and she succeeds in all. Like you said, she's still young. We're a bad break up away from Angelina the prolific song writer and rock star. Mr Boyd your face reveals multiple emotions while you listen to this young phenomenon. Clearly and certainly if handled correctly, imo this young lady will go on to be one of the most famous vocalist in history. Talent alone certainly does not guarantee fame and fortune, but if exposed adequately to the general population, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that her style and voice will captivate millions who listen to her.

What struck me first was the tempo. I was afraid it would be rushed. Not at all. It had exactly the pace to allow for the expressiveness that's in the song. Perhaps, just a little bit slower than Bobby Hatfield(?) of the Righteous Brothers sang it. Also, very much influenced by Bobby's performance. And why not? Bobby's recording is simply one greatest performances of all time. Beautiful job, Angelina.
