- Today I give my honest review of the new McFarlane Toys Gold Label Superman vs Atomic Skull action figures.

Sent to EARTH from the dying planet of KRYPTON as a baby, KAL-EL was found by farmers MARTHA and JONATHAN KENT and raised as their son, CLARK. As CLARK grew up, the radiation from EARTH’S yellow sun gave him extraordinary powers, which he kept hidden. Now fully grown, he uses his powers to protect his adopted world as SUPERMAN.

Real Name: JOSEPH MARTIN
While on an experimental S.T.A.R. LABS submarine, scientist JOSEPH MARTIN was exposed to nuclear energy. Shipwrecked on a desert island, he survived by releasing deadly nuclear blasts from his mouth. His skin and muscles literally peeled off his face, inspiring him to create Super-Villain-for-hire persona ATOMIC SKULL. He regularly clashed with SUPERMAN, both alone and with criminals such as MAJOR DISASTER and the ROYAL FLUSH GANG. In recent times MARTIN reformed, fighting criminals with the METROPOLIS SPECIAL CRIMES UNIT, SUPERWOMAN, and the TEEN TITANS.

i actually do appreciate that the pins on atomic skull have different colors where it’s necessary. back then mcf would just use the same color pins regardless of what part was painted

To be fair, it is an Amazon exclusive so the windowed packaging isn't really necessary since you wouldn't get the chance to look at what you get before buying it since it's all online.

Not the first atomic skull figure, there was one in the justice league unlimited line that was actually pretty dope
Saving my money for the Batman and Robin movie, Mr Freezanegger BAF wave! I pray Our Tod and saviour also give us a second wave with the final platinum armor and a new Bane BAF 😅

Brad any suggestions for keeping and storing all the extra hands and tiny accessories that come with action figures?
I did a cap swap on my super powers superman so I cut the "S" off the original cape and glued it on this guy, fits perfectly!
I´m so glad for Superman fans. While I wish McFarlane would open the gates for the rest of the League and the rest of the DC Universe...at the very least is not Batman constantly.

Great review! I put a Chris Reeve custom head on my Supes. He looks like a great movie version now. I think the last Atomic Skull figure was done in the JLU line years ago. At least I have one from there.
The alternate hand supes comes with isn't a grabby hand. It's A Crips hand sign LOL.

I just got this set today and L-O-V-E it. I alwwys hoped McFarlane would do this Superman colors on his slimmer original buck. I had the first figure and out of box his leg broke off and I threw it out. Atomic Skull is STUNNING. My ONLY complaint about this whole set is that he has no forward ab crunch, and that's a minor complaint.

I definitely like the slender superman, of course i'm still stuck on christopher reeves being the best superman in My opinion
On the open hand matter, I can see why it would be useful. Although I would have preferred to ALSO add a fist. A gripping hand canbe used to grab the jokers jacker or a chain while hes flying. I dont mind it but the and additional fist feels missing

I LOATHE this atomic skull figure...he only has one color and it completely ruins him and is unpleasing to the eye.
