mine also just came in today and damn Superman Pops so hard off the colors it has that Aura.
I personally like the Superman head. To me his face surprisingly looks like Tom Welling from Smallvillle lol
Everyone keeps saying this and they’re totally tight. It’s got huge Welling vibes. Didn’t look like that in the game, though!

The reason why the gaming and movie sculpts are do good it's because mcfarlane doesn't spend money or time in the molding. WB send them the 3d renders and they use those as bases for their figures. They only stretch or shrink those pre existing models to their needs
I'm definitely getting both of these guys. Especially exited for brainiac. But I'm really hoping we get a contemporary comic brainiac soon.

Almost all videogame, original concept and movie figures are 100% unique tooling. I wouldn’t be surprised if the original 3D models from the game were utilized to make these. That’s the irony of everyone crying out for classics constantly. When everyone has spray painted on spandex costumes there’s no reason to waste money on unique bucks all the time. Also why Marvel Legends is so reuse heavy, but not every other Hasbro line including MCU.
Faces looks dead on to Injustice 2 to me (again likely 3D printed from the actual game model), just no subtly in the paintwork dulls it. I’m actually a big fan of Injustice 2 Supes, I like the Roman emperor style temple crown he’s got going and the more wholesome face is funny that he’s straight up evil. Nice to see Supes is scaled more properly, Superman at 6’3” tall should be 7.5” tall in 7” scale, every Mcfarlane Superman so far has been too short. Likewise brainiac should definitely tower over a standard human sized villain. Aside from wishing Brainiac was a megafig with huge bendy tentacles like the new movie Doc Ock these are two great pieces.
Classics only collectors have no idea what they’re missing. It’s the Multiverse line, enjoy it. Injustice 2 especially has some of the coolest designs in DC full stop, case in point this Brainiac, and the whole line will be 100% unique tooling. It’s gonna be rad af.
Great review! Will be picking up both of these but especially the Brainiac figure which looks amazing.

Both of these figures are absolutely fantastic! I gotta give it to McFarlane. He does go all out for the video game and movie figures. Beautiful, detailed sculpting and great paint! I love the blue they used for Superman. I never like the design of Injustice Superman, but man, they have me tempted to buy this figure! LOVE this design for Brainiac and McFarlane did a beautiful job with him, but for me personally, I think his facesculpt is a little too realistic, so I'm really hoping for a comic version. Incredible looking figure though!
Two solid figures from head to toe and then there is Supergirl WTF Mcfarlane. Cool Figs, great take on those two.
I really can't wait to get that brainiac figure he looks awesome that head sculpt is killer. I see a lot of people using this brainiac to make a cyborg

They just need to bendy wire for him. That would be a game changer. Even if he cost a little more like 24.99 5 dollars more for the bendy wire that would make this figure 9/10.
Agree. It would have instantly made it the best figure of the year. Honestly that sort of attention to detail should be what the Collector Edition line is all about.
I wish we could get a prime Superman with this profile. Big, bigger than Batman, but not bulky because Superman's strength doesn't require muscle mass.
I'm just glad that The brainiac is not a collector's edition lol
This supes looks like that Tom chap... Tom Selleck! 😅 I wasn't particularly interested in either of these but your review has given me food for thought. After forking out some money on Mezco Constantine, this is not what I need right now 😂 great reviews - could have done a comparison with the current Injustice crew however 👍

Am I the only one who wants DC Multiverse figures from the first Injustice game. Don't get me wrong, the ones from the second game are cool, like Brainiac and Grodd. But it would be nice having some from the first game. Like Ares, Lex Luthor, Sinestro, and many others.

I have no idea people criticized this Brainiac's looks, he looks spot on and the expression reminds me of his voice actor Jeffrey Combs alot
I don’t know if people do, but I do know that sometimes people only really love the classic comic designs and hate everything else. I think this is a great look for him.
I’m partial to this design too, it’s so armored that it leaves it up to the imagination how much of his body truly is “cyberized” compared to how much was left organic.
I only have the original Fate & Flash. Wish I got Grodd & obviously the other Injustice figs

These look great, not gonna lie though I'm disappointed that the tentacles aren't flexible.
I wasn’t disappointed because I didn’t expect it… but yeah it would have made this figure perfect in my opinion. Seems like manufacturers aren’t doing this anymore. Marvel legends’ latest Doc Ock was the same.
That'll teach me for setting my expectations too high i guess lol.

ab crunch sucks! on both figures....
They’re not great at the waist/torso but neither figure is known for bending over or getting into acrobatic poses like Spider-Man so it’s not a massive issue.
That is so true... I wish Mcfarlane would work on the ab crunch because he make real good figures ...
