Damn you even have that ABS cover still! As yours is only about half original now in other parts, my original one is missing that so if you plan to toss out that extra weight some day, I'll be interested it! 😄

Is there a reason to not go front mount intercooler? I mean u get to remove the fan on the top mount intercooler. Or am i missing something?

From my experience a front mount and bigger volume doesn’t increase HP if you aren’t increasing everything else like injections, better pistons, another block or housing. In my case I have the upgraded turbo, the bigger exhaust and downpipe and a fan to cool the top IC so I get the results I need. And besides, having a front mount and someone hitting my car infront or if I wipeout on the track then I will crack the whole induction system and I can’t drive the car away. However, a straight pipe from the airbox directly to the turbo is the more common hack on this car and that makes better induction. Also the watercooled IC from the CS version works better then any other aftermarket IC add-on. That could be my next upgrade on the car, who knows!

Did you upgraded the headgasket? Since the turbo got bigger, the engine heats more proportionally, the head gasket is going to detiorate quicker if it's still OEM

Yes you are correct but it’s not some over the top brand just the ”athena” head gasket not the Toyota standard, they assured me at the Turbo Service that it’s enough since the Turbo preasure isn’t instant it’s more slingshot like. Yes the impeller and agg is bigger and increase the airflow but it’s smoother then before. Have in mind that the bar is in the standard of a ST205 CS which is within the limits of the oem engine setup. Better for a ST185 to reach a standard even to the ST205, the only tweak for increase over the limits is the bleed valve and the fuel cut in my setup.

Thanks for showing all your details, I'm still deciding if I am going to project upgrades or to enhance the OEM form with more quality assembly parts. @@valterbeicinha9633I hope you get one, these cars are so much fun and my aim is to keep it so that the engine and parts are as close to the oem as a standard but everytime something breaks I try to make smaller upgrades to aftermarket performance parts. In general it always pays out in the end, I still run my EBC brakes for years and only changed pads once, the exedy clutch works for races and daily drives, the d2 coilovers works great for races and drives… It’s just good practice, change out older parts for better standards but you don’t need to push the engine more then necessary because you can get the performance from supporting mods 👍
